I have so many good things to say about Zach's. Found out that we were throwing Christmas Eve at our home 2 days before. We found Zach's Catering online and we decided to put in an order from here; hoping he would honor a last minute order for a holiday. Matt is so kind, he made it happen for a last minute order for about 22 people. The food was delicious and everyone loved it. Arrived earlier than expected and looked even better than the online pictures. He suggested the mushroom lasagna to try and it was a big hit! Even people that didn't care too much for mushrooms said it was really good! Honestly, everything was fantastic..hard to choose which one was the "favorite". From the phone conversation of placing the order, to the delivery, to the quality of food and just the "last minute making it happen" meant so much. We will definitely be back. Today (Saturday) at the height of the holiday season - we sadly held a celebration of life for our sister and needed to find a caterer to do an elegant job - on a budget - in a very short time frame. We initially thought about going Mexican themed and called a number of "Taco" style caterers. We settled on one initially - thinking they were a "step above the rest" - but after speaking with them - we found ourselves "ghosted" and were left scrambling at the last minute to find a caterer that would perform and deliver a professional job. That's when Yelp came to our rescue once again with Zack's Catering. His reviews were wonderful - so we gave them a call and spoke with the wonderful Matt. Matt not only was lovely and extremely professional to work with at a time when our family was in extreme grief - he took the time to help us to put together a lovely menu, and worked through every detail that mattered to us - simply everything. The day before the event - he also called to make sure that we had all details covered so that our event would go off without a hitch. On the day of the service / reception, Lupe and her assistant arrived early to set up and run the food service. They were two of the most excellent and competent servers - and frankly - all we needed to do was turn the church kitchen and annex over to them to set up - which allowed us to relax and focus on our sister's memorial service being held in another part of the church. Zack's make our sister's reception a true Celebration ... vs a funeral with typical, blah food. Many people asked where we found them - and a number of attendees already were familiar with Matt's restaurant of the same name, Zacks. Thank you Matt, for elevating our sister's memorial reception. As you promised - the food - mushroom lasagna, onion rolls, chicken and pasta was OUTSTANDING - and Lupe was the "icing on the cake". We recently order food from Zach's Catering for a small family's gathering. We ordered food for 10 people but there was food to feed atleast 5+. The cheese and mushroom lasagna was amazing!!! Nothing like I have ever had before!!! I am a meat lover but never eating meat lasagna after this. Their beef pot roast and chicken andres was also a hit with everyone!!! The best; it is as if owner Matt DiMasi was born to serve the community during a stay-at-home-cannot-go-to restaurants reality. Mr. DiMasi was famous for his longtime restaurant Zach's Cafe on Ventura Blvd in Studio City and now he operates a fantastic catering service based out of a first class kitchen in Burbank, easy to get to near Alameda and Main if you want to pick up, but of course he DELIVERS. The food is incredible but there's more. During this tough time we're living in, my wife and I wanted to treat our extended families to Zach's tasty mushroom lasagna, his chicken dishes and the reliable angel hair pasta. Our plan was to drive to three locations to drop off food to our loved ones. How do you do that when you have to divide it all up. At Zach's, they got it! They were more than happy to separate the orders so that we could just drop off exactly what everyone wanted. I used Zach's for a company meeting on a Saturday. I completely spaced and forgot to order ahead. Called Friday afternoon and spoke with the owner. He took care of me. Helped with selection and size of order. I ordered food for 20, fed 16 and had probably about 3 or 4 servings left over. Their sizes are very close to actual head count listed. Some places you have to order double and other send way more. Zach's was right size in my opinion. Just add a size up if it's all guys you're feeding. And the price was great. Overall quality of food was superior to all of the Chain restaurants I've used in the past for my meetings. I will definitely be calling Zach's again. read more

He was able to walk me through the menu and suggest the right amount of food for my budget and party size. When he tells you to order the three Cheese Mushroom Lasagne. DO IT. DO DO DO IT. Used Zach's for an office retirement party for 50 people. Got the plan with 3 different entrees and salad. The set up and packaging were excellent but I really can't say enough about the food. It was soo good and everyone was very happy. It was only a few hundred dollars more than what we have spent before but it was well worth it. Everyone loved the food and the portion sizes were huge. We had catering for a very picky Armenian gathering. I was very nervous to have ordered from someone based on yelp reviews alone. Everything we received was absolutely amazing. I ordered three salads: antipasta, Cesar salad and Adam's baby green salad. Dishes: three-cheese and mushroom lasagna, chicken on a bed of brown rice and caramelized onions, and beef pot roast. Also had the garlic bread with pizza for the kids. I have to say the three cheese and mushroom lasagna was to die for but so was everything else. Our office has had food delivered from here twice and it was amazing both times. I can't live without the Adam's Baby Greens Salad and the Mushroom Lasagna. We also had the Baked Chicken Andres, the Steph's Pasta Toss and the Penne Pomodoro. Everything is flavorful and the extra touches, like not putting the sauce on the pasta until they set it on your counter really make the difference. They need time so plan ahead. I called at 10:30 am and our food was delivered to Woodland HIlls at about 12:45. We had about 16 good eaters and we ordered 3 A size pastas, one A salad and the chicken in size C. I decided to order food from Zach's Catering on my son's 13th birthday. I called 2 o'clock Friday, Matt picked up the phone and then magic happened. Everyone was gone for the day. Zach's was our favorite Italian restaurant and we were heartbroken several years ago, when it closed. Fortunately, Matt continued to cater and the food is every bit as delicious as it was in the restaurant. I have used Zach's Catering for a variety of functions, from parties of over 100 people to a small group of 10 people. The food is incredibly delicious; Matt and his staff are 100% dependable and flexible. Matt gives suggestions but certainly respects personal preferences. I just read that he is putting his country lasagna back on the catering menu. I had to "twist his arm" (not really.....just had to ask him!) to prepare it for my last big party. I called Zach's Catering after doing research on the internet, I live in Redondo & needed a place to cater my Dad's "Celebration of Life" in Burbank. After searching I called a few places or sent emails in the Burbank area to get quotes & if they were available on the date I needed. I could see their menus & prices which Zach's had both on their website. I knew what I wanted - sandwiches & salads, several places tried to get me to do warm foods, I didn't want that! I called Zach's & talked to Matt, I had looked at their menu online & picked items that I wanted! He was awesome I asked about a couple of things & he was very upfront saying "maybe that's not a good idea or pick a different salad that would go farther"! I really respected him for being so honest & not trying to sell me food that I did not need! He sent me an email with my quote, within a few hours, I told him I was waiting for a couple of other places to get back to me, he understood! I liked his customer service & didn't wait to here from the other company's. I ordered for 75 people, which was plenty! Sandwiches were delicious (chicken pesto with red peppers were the bomb), the ciabatta rolls were really fresh & soft! The antipasto & caesar salads were full of stuff not just noodles or lettuce. The caprese salad skewers were really, really good, the fruit platter was ripe & juicy! Matt was so easy to work with & he understood that this was a stressful time for me & made everything so easy. They delivered on time. Matt sent me a text later that day to check to see how everything went! My Dad was smiling down on that day!
