Teachers seem overworked, under supported, and underpaid, which creates an unsustainable environment. This not only impacts the children, but also leads to high staff turnover and a lack of consistency in care. Families are paying premium rates, but the investment in staffing does not reflect that. She passed her AP Stats test!!! So my daughter missed half…read morethe school year in 5th grade due to illness. She started really struggling in math in 6th grade. I had a friend tutor her in 7th and 8th grade, which didn't seem to help much. She started high school and it was common core math. She struggled but passed. Sophomore year was the same struggle so we finally decided to get some professional tutoring. I'm so glad we did. She worked with the Tutoring Club for about 6 months. They tested her and found the holes in her learning going back to 4th grade. She loved it there. The biggest thing I saw in her was she became confident in herself. She no longer felt "stupid". Junior and Senior year she did great in math. She struggled some but could ask for help now and not feel dumb. She took AP Stats Sr year because her math teacher asked her to. She didn't think she would do well at all on the exam. Well, we just found out she passed the test and now has college credit!!!
