I really can't think of anything positive to say about my visit to Zaina on a Friday mid-afternoon. I ordered the lamb shawarma wrap and fries at the counter and found a table to wait. None of the tables had been cleaned of previous diners, so I just pushed the empty glass and customer number flag to the corner of the table and assumed they would take it away and wipe down the table. When they brought my food out, I asked for ketchup since my table did not have a bottle and others did. She brought me an empty bottle, did not clear or clean the table from the previous customer and disappeared into the kitchen. After getting about a tablespoon of ketchup, I retrieved another near empty ketchup bottle off another table and made-do with 2 tablespoons of ketchup. I then realized that I didn't have a napkin after a couple of messy bites, so I went to the self-serve area for drinks - no napkins. I went to the counter - no napkins. I had to wait several minutes for someone to come out of the kitchen area to get a napkin. She still made no attempt to clear the messy table that now had 2 empty ketchup bottles lying on their side. Ok - here's a positive - the lettuce in the wrap was abundant and fresh, unfortunately the meat was not abundant nor flavorful. Food 2.5 stars Service and ambiance - 1 star

Zaina has moved into some new digs in Crown Center. They've kept the Mediterranean-themed menu and fast casual format. The lunches are quick, decently portioned and priced well. The staff is polite and happy to help. A couple of small criticisms: The cash register is placed at the entrance. Large parties and peak time walkups can cause the line to back up fairly quickly. Please keep this in mind if you have a short lunch break. The tables and seats in the dining area are large and are set up too close to each other. I'm a "husky" gentleman and I had to take my time finding a seat because I was not able to pull out a chair at some of the tables.

The place was just ok, you have to wait a long time to get your food and there was barely anyone dining in there. I got the schwarma platter with marinated chicken, with schwarma seasoning on top of basmati rice and a pita bread. I didn't like it, it was really dry. I think if they would've give me some tiziki sauce it could've helped the dryness but it was almost unbearable to eat it with the rice and the dry pita bread. The place smelt nice from the outside but I won't be back.

This is easily the worst Mediterranean food I have ever had. The meat was tough as leather, tiny thin strips. I had the lamb and beef. So disappointed. Don't waste your money.

Quick despite being short-staffed taking orders. Prices $11-$17, but no greens available.

From what I found online, they moved March 30, 2022 into this crown center location. Honestly, this location is not ideal, there is no street side exposure to foot traffic, and most families with kids who get into the crown center get pulled away to the Fritz's next door. I don't know how many customers they get for dinner, or how many take outs/deliveries/catering events they get, but we were the only sit-down eaters at this place during a Saturday lunch time (around noon-ish to 12:30 pm). Food is pretty good, but there is no service. You order at the counter, and then go sit down and they bring out the food. You get your own drink at their fountain. We didn't find anywhere to put away the dirty dishes, otherwise we'd throw away our own trash like we do in a chick fil a, or any other similar fast food restaurants.

This is a hidden gem I love Mediterranean food! This brought me back to my childhood and all my favorite dishes. I had a lamb and beef Gyro on a plate that came with such flavorful meat that melted in your mouth.! it included rice pita bread, fresh salad with onions, feta cheese, tomatoes, and salad dressing. Don't forget to treat yourself to baklava., it was delicious! This place was in a mall, but has sitting for many.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Zaina as the caterer for our wedding reception. They were easy to communicate with, on time, and the food was ABSOLUTELY delicious. We still have guests raving about how wonderful the food was, weeks later. We chose chicken, beef gyro, hummus, pita, greek salad, and grilled veggies. Everything arrived fresh and plentiful.

Went here for the first time with some coworkers. They have been here before and I haven't. They suggest everything is pretty good here. Everything on the menu looks great. Perfect little spot here to dine in. From the outside, it's not much, kinda looks a bit unappealing, but inside the place, it's more open and inviting. Ordering is easy since menu is on the wall or you can asked for one. My coworkers order the Chicken Kabobs with yellow rice, side salad, and hummus with pita. I've order a Beef/Lamb Gyro. Wait was decent and food was good. I can't believe I finished the whole Gyro. I must have been hungry or I just didn't want to waste it. Either way, it was delish. Would come again for lunch.

It was a small touch, but it immediately conveyed a level of attentiveness and professionalism. The highlight of the evening was the service. Kareem was exceptional. He didn't simply take our order--he guided us through the entire experience. His knowledge of the menu was impressive, from explaining dishes in detail to recommending wine pairings that complemented the meal perfectly. He checked on us consistently without ever being intrusive and genuinely made us feel welcome. He wasn't just selling food; he was representing the restaurant and the overall dining experience, and he did so exceptionally well. The restaurant itself strikes a wonderful balance between sophisticated and approachable. It feels upscale without being pretentious. I appreciated the attention to detail throughout the space, including the beautiful brass accents above the bar. The patio looked inviting, although the summer heat made indoor seating the better choice during our visit. The food arrived surprisingly quickly, and every dish we ordered was outstanding. Some of the selections were served chilled, which likely contributed to the speed, but nothing felt rushed. The quality and presentation were excellent. My only minor caution is parking. Depending on when you arrive, you may need to park a couple of blocks away and walk. It's not a deal-breaker, but it's worth planning for. If you're unfamiliar with the area, it may be helpful to call ahead and ask for parking recommendations. Overall, this was an incredible dining experience, combining outstanding service, a beautiful atmosphere, and excellent food. I would absolutely return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable night out.

We didn't have reservations and were dressed casually. The hostess was friendly and welcoming, and we were seated in what was referred to as the "other dining room," down a dark hallway into a musty, warm, and humid space. Service was prompt and courteous, but the food was very disappointing. We were served a cucumber salad that oddly tasted like peanuts, followed by six completely flavorless meatballs--no seasoning at all, not even salt. The prices might be reasonable if the quality matched expectations, but it didn't. The contrast between the main dining room and the "other room" also felt stark and uncomfortable, as if it were a second-tier seating area. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant based on this experience.

The server was knowledgeable about which dishes to try and they recommended the beet pkhali dip so I had to give that a try. That Georgian beet dip was super good that I would order seconds. The classic hummus dip with flatbread was yummy too. The kebab platter with jujeh kabob, koobideh kabob, and adana kabob was the star of the show since all kebabs were flavorful and tender. The Persian butter rice was fire and one of the best rice dishes I've ever eaten to the point that I would eat it every day for the rest of my life. Our waitress was a sweetheart and offered drinks and apps right away. Such a cozy vibe here, it was easy to just cuddle down in the mismatched chairs and follow along. The drinks were served and they were strong and delicious. After visiting Istanbul at the start of summer, I was ready for the taste again. We ordered the pizza and the short ribs. Well, I actually ordered the lamb, but they were out of it. We also ordered the Greek Salad. The salad came first and we shared it. With the fresh veggies and warm bread, it was a great start. The pizza and the ribs came staggered. Not a deal, but I did wait on my entree while my husband ate. In the end, I stole a piece of pizza cause it looked so good. The Turkish sausage was exactly how I remembered. Yum! My short ribs came later and I repaid my husband the favor of sharing, which only left me 3 pieces of meat (started with 4 pieces). This entree is no doubt amazingly cooked, but at $30, it's a bit expensive for my liking and hardly worth the price. I could've used some salt or something also. I don't know, this one went a little south for me. Overall, cute date night spot and friendly service. I would definitely give it another try.

Tzatziki is a bit thinner and slightly off from what I'm used to. But on mine, there was some on the sandwich and a side--hadn't seen that before. It actually worked well, kept the meat moist--without making it mushy--and let me add more as needed. Added sambal for heat, which helped. Kebab Platter - Mixed bag.
