Very disappointing experience!!!! I ordered from Zalat Pizza and was extremely disappointed. The pizza arrived late, and it was cold and soggy. The toppings were uneven, and the overall taste was bland. For the price, I expected much better quality. The service was poor -- no updates on the delay, and it felt unorganized. Bummed because I used to rely on this place for late pizza - solid - the overriding win was the pizza it self (sometimes late but that's how it goes). We like the supreme zealot, the pepperoni, the OG, but not so much the pho shizzle (too saucy). We order pick up on the app or via inkind (which did not work last time and still not working). Service is good if you're just picking up. Not great if you have to order at the location as they don't list prices and all options. Parking is not very difficult to find since people come and go quickly. Note that during the winter there's no place to sit and eat there. Overall it's a nice pizza spot and has good promotions so we will be back. read more

I was extremely disappointed with my recent order. The pizza was severely overbaked, leaving the crust completely dried out and tough to eat. The texture was unpleasant and lacked the moisture and flavor you expect from a proper pizza. On top of that, the presentation was unacceptable--the pizza looked sloppy, with burnt edges and a generally unappetizing appearance. I just don't understand as a restaurant who's is sole job is to properly cook food & present it that you open of the box of pizza and say this looks fine and is acceptable. First time to order from Zalat's Kinda disappointing, I ordered a Pineapple Express for delivery. Took about 45 minutes, at 5:30p. Saw the driver as he placed at door. It was cold on arrival. I ended up microwaving it. It was good, not the best crust I've had. It came with a creamy tangy sauce on the side. Would probably not pay $28 again for cold pizza. I had heard some good things about this chain, so I said, why not Door Dash some at 1:30 AM after a concert? This place does stay open late and is a great option for night owls or party people. The pizza arrived on time and the delivery driver was super friendly. It was just meh. The dough seemed a little undercooked and there was hardly any sauce on what was a modified (for toppings) cheese pizza. I had to double check the receipt to make sure I hadn't fat-fingered the selections on the app. Nope, no "light to no sauce" box checked. I'm staying in town for the week and I'm coming back for 2nds and 3rds. I'm no Dave Portnoy but they nailed the crust, not to crispy but just firm enough to not fold over. The mozzarella and sauce was great, and not too greasy either. The garlic parm wings were lukewarm when they got delivered but they were tasty reheated. I am not sure how Zalat markets its pizza. I've read Brooklyn/New York-style amongst others. The pizza is not good and covers up it bad taste with non- traditional toppings like BBQ sauce and balsamic vinegar. The crust is tough and flavorless with little substance. I'm think roofing shingle. After the pizza cools during the ride home form the store, the entire pizza becomes hard as if it was stored overnight in a refrigerator. We visited this location yesterday and was a bit surprised by the barricade set up at the entrance of the shop. Ordered the Supreme and had to check the box because it felt very light for an "18 pie. But that Pulp Fiction briefcase moment kicked in when I saw it. It looked good, smelled good and after returning home I can confirm it tasted good as well. I can definitely agree with other reviewers, that No sauce was harmed in the making of this pie. I guess the whole Dallas pricing still has some getting used to for me. Y'all... This place is the definition of "don't judge a book by its cover". From the outside this little shopping strip looks a little sketch, but this is hands down the best pizza in Dallas. We did a Margherita pizza and added pepperoni. The crust is perfectly crisp. No need to get extra toppings, they got you covered. Ohhh and the sauce (maybe siracha ranch?) is HEAVENLY. Moved to Dallas recently and I've been trying to find great pizza heard tons of good things about Zalat. After a long week, we wanted to treat ourselves to some pizza at home so we could relax by ordering delivery. When the pizza arrived it was barely warm- not certain if this was because of the delivery vendor. Nonetheless, if we try this place again, we're doing takeout, not delivery. We also ordered the cheese pretzel bites and regular bread bites. Because this is my first time, I'm a little why both bites looked exactly the same- could've been the description that misled me to think they should've been different- but the cheese was not even melted. It looked like someone had scooped processed cheese in a cup...it was solid. Since the pizzas didn't arrive hot, perhaps the cheese congealed, I don't know. We ordered the Elote (and chicken) which was pretty good (considering) and the Notato (without bacon, because we're Muslim). The Notato arrived loaded with bacon...and we couldn't eat it. Granted, it went to another someone else to feed them, but it was still disappointing. We have a difficult time going anywhere without having to worry about pork, so when we order something and it doesn't come with the necessary substitutes, we're stuck paying for food we can't eat. I don't know if I would try this place again, personally. But my experience was also very personal. They have lots of great varieties worth checking out. In the meantime, we'll be finding our perfect pie in the sky somewhere else. read more
