The store was crowded, but they had a system in place so all the entering customers were helped based on the order they entered. Bie helped me with my purchase, and he was the best! I told him what I was looking for, and he asked me for my budget... and he worked his magic and directed me to my options. He answered all my questions and made me feel confident with my purchase. The price was reasonable, and the bracelet was exactly what I was looking for. Bie was patient while I thought about it, and he informed me about a promotion if I opened a Zales credit card. I purchased a Christmas gift for my girlfriend online about two weeks before Christmas and had it shipped to a Zales store for pickup. Unfortunately, I had to leave town shortly after placing the order. Right before Christmas, I received a message saying my order was refunded without my consent. I immediately called customer service to fix the issue. Despite it being five days before Christmas, I was told they could not resell the item to me, express ship it, or offer any solution to correct their mistake. No effort was made to help save Christmas, and no alternative options were offered. What makes this worse is that I was a frequent Zales customer, but after this experience, they will never get another dollar from me. The customer service and management were absolutely terrible. I spoke with several people--only one representative showed any understanding, and she wasn't even a manager. The management team was dismissive and unhelpful. I strongly suggest taking your money elsewhere. There are plenty of jewelry stores that value their customers and take responsibility when they make mistakes. Zales clearly does not. read more

I want to thank sales rep Bie for their help in choosing an engagement ring and wedding bands for me and my partner. I had gone to another Zales location prior to Commerce where the sales rep mocked our $2k budget for an engagement ring (only an engagement ring, as we weren't looking for anything else at the time) and then referred us to the promise ring section. She offered no real assistance, made us feel very uncomfortable and like we weren't good enough to assist because of our budget. After feeling disrespected and disappointed we decided to try a different location on the off chance we may have a different experience and I am so glad we did! Bie not only worked within our budget, he brought back the excitement we had about the entire process and made everything easy! We walked out of the location not only choosing an engagement ring but also wedding bands. I got scammed here!!! I purchased a ring for around $2,200 a year ago and it had a promotion for 0% interest for 12 months. I've been making all my payments in order to pay it off, and last month in January, the 12 month period ended. I had payed majority of it off with my balance only being $100. Now I came to look at my account to finish paying it off and find there's a $500 interest charge?!? I was shocked to see this, and as I searched for the cause, I found hidden in the statements that if I did not pay it off within the 12 months that they would charge me interest on the original price of the ring. When I purchased this at the outlet store, I was not notified of this ( I would of glady paid it off sooner if I was). I didn't even know this type of interest charge was possible! As all my other credit cards have only charged me interest on the balance due. And after over an hour of jumping through calls on their customer service phone line, they just told me too bad, there's nothing they can do. Now I will admit I should of looked at the statements from this account, but you have to understand, I'm a full time college student, and part time worker. I don't have time to go through all of my financial information. And now I have to take a $500 Accountability bill as a result. This whole system seems very predatory, as they do not notify you of this crazy interest charge in store. I paid off my balance, and closed my account immediately. And I WILL NEVER SHOP AT ZALES AGAIN. They seem nice in store, but there customer service is grossly underwhelming. They would rather lose a customer that would of spend thousands of dollars in the future, rather than waive a fee that I didn't even know about. Truly disgusting. read more

After sales service is not satisfactory! The lock of my necklace was broken. After going to repair it, I replaced the original larger lock with a smaller lock. It was very inconvenient to use. I asked for a lock of the original size, and the store said they would give me a new necklace of the same size. , When I got home, I found that it was different from the original, and the quality was much worse! I honestly don't know what the negative issues are with Zales. People are always bashing it and I couldn't figure out why. I did a Google search and basically people say that they have bad quality and overcharge. I have never seen that. I've been shopping at Zales since 2015 and it's my favorite place for jewelry. I have gone to other places after hearing negative comments about Zales. I haven't found any other place that has the beautiful UNIQUE designs that I've purchased from Zales. The prices and sales are in my ideal range. Their warranty CANNOT be beat! Even if you feel like you overpaid for mediocre items the warranty itself makes up for it. No where else have I found a warranty like what Zales offers. I love Zales and I recommend it to people and I will continue to shop there and be proud that I do. Another nearby location told me the repairs department was closed for the past 3 weeks and this week I was told it was gonna be another 3 weeks but when I called here not only did they answer the phone in the first ring but he told me the repairs was open. He also told me they use the same repairs department so idk why the other location told me this. I'm getting my wedding ring sized and I'm so excited. I've seen the reviews for zales before ever considering purchasing a product but I gave it a chance and decided to purchase a engagement ring for my partner a couple of months ago. I went to the place in Downey and I really didn't like their customer service because the lady that attended me was rushing me to pick out a ring (I'm very in undivisive (I'm sure I didn't sell it right lol) especially since I've never proposed and wanted to make sure I got the perfect ring for my partner. Anyhow, a couple of months pass and I see a ring I like (for me) and I got myself the Ariel ring (picture included) at the Montebello location (I totally recommend going to Andrew because he was very friendly , attendant and overall had genuinely great customer service). Now, for a while since the Disney enchanted collection came out, I've been wanting these Ariel earrings with rose gold. I could never find it in person and my fiancé decided to call a few stores and eventually called this store. The lady's name was Patricia who he spoke to. She was very friendly over the phone, offered to order them in and have them by Friday (we called on Wednesday). The day that Friday came, she gave us a call and told us that the order was suppose to be there but the person who was suppose to ship it apparently didn't ship it. What she decided to do was cal a few stores who might have them and see if I could get them by today (Friday). She gave us a call a few minutes after and told us that Glendale mall had them. Mind you, she didn't have to go through all that hassle just for a pair of earrings for strangers, but I truly appreciate what she did and I'm very grateful and satisfied.
