Aga's is a local legend for a reason. With over 20,000 reviews, it absolutely lives up to the hype…read moreand serves some of the most authentic Pakistani and Indian food I've had. We started with the Chicken Lollipops, which are a great Indo-Chinese fusion dish. They were perfectly crispy and fried without being greasy, served with a delicious sweet chili sauce that kept us reaching for more. The Chicken Tikka Masala was exactly what you want from the dish--rich, flavorful, and packed with depth. It also came with plenty of chicken, which isn't always the case. My favorite dish of the night, though, was the Goat Chops. They were incredibly tender, flavorful, and practically fell off the bone. Don't sleep on the Mint Lemonade. Unlike many places that simply toss a few mint leaves into the drink, Aga's actually grinds fresh mint into the lemonade, giving it a bright, refreshing flavor that stands out. The naan arrived piping hot, and the rice tasted fresh and perfectly cooked. One thing that surprised me was that neither rice nor naan came included with the entrees, so keep that in mind when ordering. Despite being extremely busy, the restaurant runs like a well-oiled machine. The space is massive, with a huge dining room, attached banquet hall, catering operation, and takeout service all running simultaneously. Even with the crowds, everything moved quickly. Service was also notably great, the staff did a great job explaining the menu and checking on us regularly without being overbearing. There's also a huge parking lot, and while it's located in a strip mall and definitely isn't fine dining, that's not why you come here. You come for the incredible food. Highly recommend. Aga's is one of those places that's worth going out of your way for especially if you are just visiting Houston.

My group of 6 walked in early on a Thursday evening without reservations and were seated right away in one of their massive dining rooms. By the time we left after our meal, a line was already forming out the door. The fact that this place is so massive and still commands crowds is impressive. Their hospitality and food were also on point, which is difficult to maintain at this scale. We enjoyed samosas, many different kebabs including the bihari, biryani, aloo masala, saag paneer, and their famous goat chops. I don't eat red meat but tried the tiniest of bites to see what all the buzz was about and could tell it was very well prepared. We ordered pitchers of mango lassi that were downed by our table immediately. Our water glasses were always refilled, and our server helped me discreetly pay the bill out of sight of my dining companions before anyone could fight me for the check. This was an excellent meal to round out our family trip to Houston, from a food, ambience, and hospitality standpoint.

He said the family is very, very nice and the food and atmosphere is wonderful. So we decided to take the trek to Richmond to see what our friend was talking about. He was absolutely 100% right; we were warmly greeted by Tehmina and when we told her it was our first time visiting and first time even trying Pakistani food, she was so happy and excited to share what they had to offer. Everything looked so good and the prices were shockingly fair - so we decided to have her help us decide and she offered two chicken dishes and two beef. Each were splendid and amazingly delicious and prepared with love. If you already love Pakistani food or are new to this awesome cuisine as we were, you and your family need to do yourselves a favor and stop by to experience the first-class friendly service with lovingly prepared like home-made dishes. Tell them David & Amy sent you and we'll probably see you there as we look forward to coming back to try the other items on their menu!

It's definitely getting better then how it was. I use to come here a frequently a few years back…read morefor the beef or goat Biryani. At some point they changed the flavors when I asked them if they changed chefs or anything they told me no but that was definitely a lie. I've been there a few times within the past few months to give them another Chance. The first time I ordered the chicken biryani and mango lassi the chicken was dry biryani was just not flavorful. I still went back because I wanted to try the goat biryani since it use to be one of my favorites I thought the goat biryani would not be good because of how the chicken biryani was but let me tell you I was wrong. I've also tried their shrimp biryani and it's a better option than chicken. They do have pretty good traditional sweets. I always grab a few gulab jamun when I'm there. Over all the place is good just needs to focus on a few items and really work on improving them.

Why 4 stars? Because it was a perfectly fine experience…read more --- --- --- After landing at IAH, I was on the hunt to grab something quick on the way home. I had an alternate plan initially, but timing didn't work out for me, so I perused my bookmarks as I took the parking shuttle to my car and settled on Curry Masala. I called them once I got to my car and was told my order would be ready in about 20 minutes, as my GPS read out that I was 20 minutes from the restaurant. Everything was coming up Milhouse. Because I am a basic B, I ordered chicken tikka masala and butter chicken. It was ready about 3 minutes after I arrived, and off to home I headed. I enjoyed both, but thought the tikka masala was definitely the better of the two, and the wife agreed. We had a favorite Indian spot really close to here that has unfortunately closed down, so I have been on the hunt for a new one. Curry Masala did not quite match that level, but it's not a bad option when in the area.

Cleanliness Service…read more Family friendly Flavor I loved the staff and their attentiveness. But the flavor, seasoning, and execution of the food needs work. If you don't like spicy or seasoned food, this place works for you and you don't need to continue this review. If you do care for those things and you try this place, you might agree that the flavor profile is catering to the demographic of the location that the restaurant is in and not the authenticity of the culture that it should represent. I know of another location, but this is not to take away business for one restaurant, but to help encourage this one to lean more into its authentic flavor. Even if that means moving locations because your demographic may not care for it. I had chicken Biryani (safe for an American) but the chicken was dry and with minimal flavor. The rice lacked flavor. The raita was ok, if you like everything blended together. The onions and lime/lemon you might usually have on the side was not offered with this. Fried cauliflower with chicken 65 seasoning, had a good spice level, but it was soggy.

Next time I'm definitely going to try the mango habanero. I gave them 9 out 10. Then I ordered the s h i k a n j a b e e n. It's a classic lime mint leaf crushed eyes and soda drink that is absolutely delicious. It's actually one of my favorite drinks at Pakistani restaurants. So... An obvious 10 out of 10. I ordered TWO. Now, I initially ordered the ribeye which is a 12 oz but they said that they ran out. Or they don't have it, rather. I came at 1:00 p.m. so I'm not quite sure why they were out but regardless, my next order was the beef short ribs. They were bigger than I thought and so completely marinated and Rich herbs and spices I was floored. A very easy 10 out of 10. The steamed veggies that came with it which were steamed carrots and cauliflower were so incredibly delicious. 10 out of 10. The mashed potatoes it came with were decent. Not bad, not great. I would say 7 out of 10. I also ordered the garlic naan. Absolutely delicious. They give you huge pieces and I was so thankful. Parts were crispy and parts were soft so it was like perfection. The garlic naan was a nine out of 10 for later. I wish there was a little bit more salt but it was perfect for dipping into my my wings and the sauce it came with. Overall. I am absolutely coming back again. I've actually been trying to go for a long time. The inside is really beautiful and stunningly clean. The wait staff is super hospitable and kind. Grateful that I did and I will certainly be coming back again.
