Anna can do decent nail designs which is what kept me coming back but my cuticles were often bloody and I had infection under several of my nails because of poor application. I tried a new salon and they were shocked at the state my nails were in. It's going to take months to get them back to a healthy place. I often felt like an inconvenience for service I was PAYING for. Do better Anna. Teach your staff to be kind take care of the health of your clients nails. Go somewhere else and pay a little more for respect and care for your nails.

She kept applying and removing layer after layer sometimes four coats at a time; while having me put my hands under the drying light. She continually switched between colors, trying black, white, and pink, but for some reason, couldn't get it right. By the next day, my nails had already chipped. I returned, hoping the manager would fix them, but he insisted the same technician redo my manicure. Despite her efforts, my nails chipped again the following day. I won't be coming back what a waste of $30.

I happened upon Midlton Nails Studio via an Instagram reel and I loved what I saw. I reached out to ask about the gel they used and they confirmed there was no acrylic. Booking an appt on their website was very easy and I opted for a session with Arna. The establishment is very clean and within a short distance from a train station. Once I picked my gel color, Anna got to work shaping my nails and going to town trimming and buffing my cuticles and nail bed. Then a series of gel polishes and UV curing followed. After the top coat is cured, she applied cuticle oil and hand lotion. The total for a hard gel manicure was $95 and took about 90 minutes to complete from start to finish. So in love with this manicure and hope I can continue to treat myself- as long as I don't have an allergic reaction. So far so good!!! They also do pedicures and nail extensions. Will be back!

My regular nail tech was busy this weekend so I made an appointment. At the last minute, I was told someone else would be doing the work. This is the point where I should have canceled. The service started off well enough. I was a little concerned she used cuticle nippers instead of scissors but from the top they looked beautiful and I was pretty happy with what I thought was the final result. The nail tech then decided at the end of what had been a lovely service to file my natural nails off, leaving just the hard gel behind. The angle she held my hand while she was doing it should have tipped me off in hindsight, but they looked so good from the top I wasn't thinking anything of it. Also. WHO FILES THE UNDERSIDE? Like is everything okay? I didn't notice until I got home and flipped my hand over. My natural nails have been mostly filed off. They're gone. So I get to spend the next however long it takes for them to grow back being reminded that when someone tells you that you have nice nails, they will make it their business to make sure you don't when they're done.
