Each dish was packed with flavor. The crispy chicken sandwich was perfectly cooked, with a super crispy coating that stayed intact (always a good sign!). The masala fries were seasoned just right. When we ordered the paratha pulled beef roll, the staff gave us a heads-up that it was a bit spicy but it turned out to be really spicy, so keep that in mind if you're sensitive to heat. The restaurant itself was well-maintained, and the staff did a great job keeping everything clean and tidy.

When I approached the register, the employee asked who I was picking up for. I showed her the order information on my phone, and she checked it before walking away. The problem was that she never came back or gave me any update. I was left standing there waiting, assuming the order was still being prepared. After waiting longer than necessary, I had to approach another employee to find out what was happening. I was then told that my food had actually been ready for several minutes. That was frustrating because a simple update or acknowledgment would have avoided the entire situation. What bothered me most was that when I finally brought up the issue, instead of acknowledging the inconvenience, I felt like I was being brushed off with a quick "have a good night." I understand that restaurants can get busy, and I'm not expecting perfect service every time. However, basic communication, attentiveness, and respect go a long way especially when someone is simply trying to pick up an order. I'm leaving this review because the pickup process needs improvement. Management should make sure employees are communicating with customers and following through after asking them for their order information. A little better customer service would make a big difference.

The food always tasted a bit too salty BUT THIS TIME we loved our food. My dad did a takeout of their chicken platter. The chicken platter is like a crossover between chicken tandoori and halal guys. It was delicious, flavorful, and 3 of us could split it (we were not too hungry). I'd probably come back again.

4-Star Review - Delhi Garden, NJ…read more Tried Delhi Garden recently on a friend's recommendation. It's a bit out of the way from the central Edison area, but worth a visit every now and then. I saw some solid reviews online and decided to check it out. Service was good . Atmosphere not that great . Overall, I was leaning toward a 3-star rating, but a few standout dishes pushed it to a 4. The aloo cutlet with chole was the star of the show--super authentic and flavorful. The paneer tikka and paneer masala also hit the mark taste-wise, though I wish they had packed a bit more spice. The paneer tandoor came in a generous portion, but again, it could've used more flavor. The biryani was just average. One common theme--everything was low on spice, and the small container of spicy sauce they give barely lasted a few bites. It's a takeout-only spot, so no dine-in tables, and the parking area is small but manageable. Price-wise, it felt fair for the portion sizes. Not perfect, but worth trying if you're in the mood for North Indian flavors and don't mind customizing the spice at home!

Their digital menu via QR code is convenient and I like that you can open separate tabs if you're here with friends. Basically an easier way to pay separately. Ordering was easy too! Portion: 5 The portions are huge. Even though the bowls aren't as big as typical Vietnamese restaurants, but it is plenty of food. The summer rolls are the typical size but not over stuffed with noodles which I really appreciate. Their spring roll order came with 4 spring rolls but only one piece of lettuce, 2 pieces of cucumbers, and very little mint. It's definitely not enough to wrap all 4 spring rolls. My pho, with added bok choy, had an abundance of bok choy and the beef and brisket slices were hidden under the noodles. Flavors: 5 The soup is more delicate than typical pho broth, but I appreciate that it's not as sweet and some other restaurants make it. The last time I ate here, the broth was hotter than today, but their chili pepper sure made up for the lack of heat. It was so spicy! So good! The Pho Spot has been my go to pho place but now that it's taken over, I'm glad to see that the menu has expanded and the pho is still good. I do really miss the tripe though. They don't have that on the menu anymore.

I want to start off talking about a past experience and then talk about a recent experience…read more I have come to The Pho House before. They had made a name for themselves in my kind of feed by being a halal pho place. The issue in the past was that the menu wasn't fully halal so you had to think a bit harder about what is halal and what is not. Service was slower and I didn't really want to come back again. Food was fine but I did need to spice it up with sauces Now on to my recent experience. I was meeting some people that wanted to come here and I just wanted to be out so I said why not? Little did I know, that they actually changed management in the past year. I did notice that they have gone toward a full halal menu which is actually really nice to see. I ordered a spiced pho bowl and I did not need to add anything. It was the right amount of spice that I like which I havent seen from other pho shops. Service was very speedy. I can not remember how they did ordering before but you get a QR code on the table to scan. The code has a menu and you add items to a cart for the table and it comes on your bill together at the end. But ordering in the site has it come out minutes later or something else surprisingly fast. It has improved and I look forward to bringing others here

    | Deeply Disappointed -- What Happened to Baithakh?…read more Baithakh used to be one of our favorite go-to spots in North Brunswick. We've always enjoyed the food, but unfortunately, something has definitely changed since our last visit -- and not for the better. We ordered several dishes, including the Baithakh Seekh Kebab Roll, Crispy Fried Chicken Burger, Beef Paya, Beef Nihari, Peshawari Mutton Karahi, and Chicken Malai Boti. To our surprise, nearly everything was a letdown. The Beef Paya and Peshawari Mutton Karahi were both swimming in oil and severely lacked flavor, which was shocking considering how good they used to be. The Fried Chicken Burger had decent seasoning, but the chicken itself was tough and rubbery -- almost inedible. The Chicken Malai Boti was okay, but even that wasn't as tender or flavorful as we've had here before. Maybe they've changed chefs or recipes, but the quality just isn't the same anymore. Baithakh had never failed us before, but this visit was a major disappointment. Sadly, we're giving it a 2 out of 5 stars. We hope they find their way back to the standard that once made them great.
