From the moment we walked in we were warmly welcomed by the hostess and immediately seated. Our server was very efficient and helpful with recommendations It was half off martini's today, which were extremely well made. The lemon drop martini was very refreshing and not too sweet. The pita bread was freshly made and we could see it come out from the wood fired oven to our table. They were a warm cloud of deliciousness. The chicken tips were served on a bed of in house hummus. The chicken was extremely well seasoned and juicy. The Labenee was rich and refreshing with a slight tart. The pizza was cheesy and played well with the sausage and peppers. The basil was a nice touch to elevated the pizza flavor overall Our full meal and drinks including tip for two people was $50 which we thought was a very affordable price for date night in an elevated sit in restaurant. Finally, I've dined inside Poco Piatti. I've ordered catering from them at The Garden location for an event (which I heard was excellent) but did not have the opportunity to try the food myself. I visited the location on Central for a Galentines outing and it was perfect. I've already been back since that day. As a big fan of Mediterranean food Poco has some of the best hummus I've tried thus far. There's also many variations of grape leaves (in general) and I'm not a fan of all of them but I did enjoy their meat grape leaves. They make them with lamb and ground beef, rice, Syrian spice, and cook them with lemon and mint. All combined the grape leaves have a savory taste with a hint of sweetness for its flavor. I've never been disappointed with their Cried Calamari Za'atar. It's typically fried hard to give a nice crispy crunch. My favorite dinner on the menu as of this moment are the Grilled Baby Lamb Chops. I ordered medium rare chops since they advertise having them cooked this way is their specialty. I gladly agree with them. Yes it might be pink on the inside but the flavor is everything. You can order a small (4) or large (6) plate of the chops. The large plate comes with a bed of rice. Overall, I would say that their prices are reasonable for the amount and quality of food you receive. This location is somewhat small but still spacious enough to enjoy yourself and have private conversations. I would say that it's appropriate for any type of small gathering to take place at this location. The service is always stellar and it's pretty cool that you can view the action in the kitchen as you're dining. Alcohol is served as they also have a small bar area. Wine fills their menu but they do offer special cocktails as well. I've tried their cabernet, and peach sangria. Their classic sangria looks amazing though so I might order that next. I want to preface my review with stating that this is a one off for this location (Perrysburg @ Levis Commons). However, the meal I ordered on Saturday night, beef tips with hummus, was not great. It came out mostly cold and tasted off and the color was a brownish gray. I've ordered this meal several times and it's always been amazing. I even order the larger size so I can take it home and have leftovers the next day. I was really looking forward to this meal all day but ended up pretty disappointed overall. In addition to the beef tips being "off" our order came out at different times (3 people's meals, brought out about 5 minutes apart) which is strange when you're having dinner. I would have preferred saying something right at the time I tried the food, but my daughters insisted that I not complain (they have a "Karen" phobia) - but I think something was going on with the kitchen that night. With that said, the server was great, atmosphere was great, the wine was great (and it helped the meat go down).... I just think the quality of the food was not up to their usual quality. read more

It's Restaurant Week in Northwest Ohio! The absolute best week of the year for foodoholics like myself! We kicked off the with an amazing tapas dinner at Poco Piatti. We're not going to count the number of times I've dined at their restaurants. We'll just say this location is the third one I have experienced and truly appreciated their service. Although our dining experience was slightly interrupted by a waitress searching our dining area for a lost phone (but, found it.) The atmosphere of the restaurant was romantic; yet, casual. If you find yourself dining there, don't forget to inquire about their Koala Berry Frozen Pie. I did?! :( However, we found ourselves at Koala Berry Frozen Treats afterwards, lol. read more

So disappointing. We have been before and were very pleased. This time, only 1/3 dishes were good. We ordered the beet salad - essentially, no beets! We even told the server she brought the wrong salad! Turns out there were 5 or 6 slivers of beet (they looked just like slices of red cabbage) in a lettuce salad. Tuna was described as rare and sliced, but came cut into tiny half-inch cubes, most of which were well done in a very strong lemon sauce. The server knew there were 4 of us, but only brought 2 plates and silverware sets; we had to ask for 2 more. Stuffed portobello caps were good. Highly unlikely we would eat there again. read more

We held our book club discussion here over a late lunch on a Saturday. It was a lovely ambiance since there weren't a lot of people and we could enjoy the Mediterranean decor and delicious food. Everyone raved about their food selections. I had a shrimp appetizer along with seared mushrooms, with fresh pita bread...Absolutely delicious! Our server was attentive without being overbearing. Love Mediterranean tapas food. Was recommended a Michelin restaurant in Washington DC for $100/person. Poco Piatti locations in Toledo are far superior - at $25/ person blows this "Michelin" restaurant out of the universe. No comparison. Hajjar hospitality restaurants offer the freshest, most authentic, quality experience at a fraction of the price. They really should raise their prices for the kind of quality they provide. Lebanese food is so labor intensive. No one makes it like the Hajjar hospitality restaurants. read more

Ambiance is fine. Waitress was nice . Meal(lunch) was not worth the $50 this time. Mushrooms were great. Steak kabobs good. Chicken kabobs dry with a couple thin vegetables on them. Ask waitress about the Mujadara was given a couple conflicting pieces of info. I ordered it and it was just mushy with very cold(refrigerated cold) fried onions on top. Not much taste other than the pickles. I was really disappointed it reminded me of cafeteria slop or wet refried beans. I asked the waitress if this is how it normally was and she said yes. I'm used to getting it at Tiger bakery where the rice and lentils have definition. I'm not even sure if there was rice in the Poco Mujadara-so mushy I couldn't tell. The rice with the kabobs was also a thick pasty texture. Normally it is not. The bread was great although we had raw dough(my husband loved the raw dough though) . He also likes their coke mix (not all restaurants mix the syrup and carbonation the same) . Prob not going back here anytime soon unless my hubby really wants too! read more

Poco's in Sylvania is one of our favorite places to go. Excellent Mediterranean menu although some may fine it limited. I feel there's a large enough selection to satisfy your palate. We have always had good service and the staff has always been attentive. I cannot recommend any one dish because we enjoy them all. A local eatery referred by someone who gives great advice. Ordered take out and because of the tapas themed items we ordered the following: Greek Salad; Tabouli; Blue Crab Lump Crab Cakes; Mujadra; and Eggplant Rolotini - all were the "small" choice. Wow! Food was very good and the portions were larger than anticipated - win, win! The only downside is that there seemed to be some confusion as to who was doing what or the staff was somewhat overwhelmed. With that said, I had to wait longer than anticipated for the food and when the hostess took my credit card to run it at the back of the dining area, she took 2 other calls for food orders. Who knows, Pocco Piatti's may be short handed because they cannot find people who actually want to work for a living like many other small businesses feeling the crunch of today's society. The food and drinks are not bad. The evening service team was a bit like a Bar Rescue stress test night and they failed. The staff was really grumpy and resigned that they were failing, so why even try? The kitchen made great food, but one order came out 20 minutes before the other, and although I'd rather be rude and eat alone than eat cold food, I won't eat pizza without crushed red peppers and the server's attention was elsewhere. That said, she was happy to microwave my pizza to heat it back up. Never had reheated/microwaved pizza at a restaurant before, but I guess there is a first time for everything. It was still good. On the other hand, the daytime bartender, Wendy, is sweet and I would definitely recommend going during the day. read more

It's been so long since I've been so disgusted in service at a restaurant and Sunday night at your establishment in Toledo OH was one of the worst I've ever had. Our server was the most inattentive server I've ever experienced. We had a party of 5...and the place was nearly empty so it wasn't like she was slammed. We had drinks sitting at the bar for over 20 minutes...ice melting and brought out watered down and disgusting. Some of our food was not prepared with the care we would expect but most of the food was pretty good. We had to ask for refills several times as she was more interested in making silverware rolls for the night. We felt she did not care about us at all because as a party of 5 she was getting 20% regardless so it was an easy $50 tip for her. When we expressed our concerns to the manager on duty she told us silverware folding is part of their job and we said we were not happy with the service she just sarcastically smiled at us and said "Okey Dokey". At the end of the day the $300 we spent on this meal was not anywhere near worth it and I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. read more

I think I'm gonna let the man pick the next few restaurants. I almost hated it and yet again a spot I picked out. We come in about hour before closing. Everyone is friendly. Didn't feel any pressure to rush. So I came here to try the lamb. I don't eat it often but I like well cooked lamb and so does my sweetie. Should be perfect dinner. Well I got to looking at the chicken parm sliders and asked the server his choice of 2. He said the chicken.Tried to get them to do one of each which was a no. If I'm willing to pay for it why not? Anyhow, got talked into the chick parm sliders because above all meat in life I want chicken or turkey. Mistake. No seasoning to be found in the sauce or the sliders. We got grape meat leaves n portobello mushrooms as appetizers. Both had a weird after taste. I'm just over anything that has leaves in the description. Just not for me. My man didn't like them either so we tore into the pita bread. Was fresh n good with butter Man got the lamb entree. As usual was not cooked to his specifications but he was starving so he ate them anyway. I was scared to ask for one cause he was killing them little things. I had a glass of wine and beer for him. I was looking forward to coming here to try their food. I've lived in the Middle East and love Greek food. We ordered a couple apps and two small plates. The food was great, but right when we got there we asked if they have their famous flaming cheese and our waitress said that they changed the menu. First time went with wife, daughter and son in law. Greek salad brown and mushy. Wife ordered steak tips and came out gray color and looked like pot roast. Not tips we are accustomed too. Didn't eat it. Calamari good, hummus and feta dip both real good. Brussels sprouts good. Gluten free pita bread and regular both good. The hot lamb grape leaves very good but small amount even when ordering large portion. Vegetable grape leaves ice cold and not so good. Chicken was cold in no time and nothing to brag about. This restaurant is great but depending on the dish may be a bit hit or miss. I ordered the Tabouleh and it was made with very fresh ingredients although I'd say a bit too much on the salty side. The lamb burger was a bit over done and on the dry side and also on the salty side. We have had the other dishes and they were superb, some of them blew me out of the water! Despite this I'd still give 5 stars based on several premises. First, their prices are good and the portions are perfect. This is how a normal portion should be! Second the ambience is superb and comfortable. Third, their fresh bread is FRESH out of the oven and amazing. I had a great dining experience despite some dishes having hiccups. read more

We had a reservation for 6:00 on Saturday (10/15/22). The table was ready, everything appeared to be fine. The waitress came, introduced herself, gave us menus and took our drink orders... I ordered Kibbe. The bulgar wasn't soaked long enough and the dish was in dire need of seasoning. The texture was like eating undercooked rice or pasta. Not at all pleasant. I also ordered a chicken dish that never came. Interesting part about the missing chicken is the waitress acknowledged that we never received the dish. I told her to just deduct it from the bill and she said she would do so. The bill came and the chicken was still on it... The next foible was them running out of ice tea. It's 6:00 on a Saturday and they run out of tea. I requested a re-fill on my drink and the waitress brought me peach tea. We all specifically requested regular tea when we ordered. We specifically asked if they had plain tea and she responded in the affirmative. The waitress didn't explain that she was giving me peach tea, she just dropped it off and left. When I returned the tea to her, she explained that they ran out of tea. Nobody started making more plain tea until I sent back the peach tea. I never did get my refill, in fact, none of us did. We were still charged for the 3 glasses of tea at our table. The next issue was things coming out of the kitchen at amazingly different times. One of our guests ordered pizza. I know pizza can take some time. Instead of holding back the dishes so we could all eat at the same time, they were served as they were finished being prepared. By the time our "pizza guest" received his pizza, everything else was cold. In fairness, we did get the roasted beat salad, ara yes, feta dip, and a few other things that were excellent. The problem is the things that went wrong were due to inattention by the staff and that's just not an excuse - at least is shouldn't be. Maybe at IHOP, but this is supposed to be a few levels above that. I can't recall ever having a good meal at this location. If you want a good meal at Poco Piatti, go to the one in Perrysburg. They're always consistently better than the Sylvania location. read more

A favorite place for us to stop as we commute between MI and mid Ohio. My wife & I sat at bar, as we enjoy and we're courteously served by bartender. We had a half carafe of house red, which is pleasant. Tabouleh is always great and a small is enough for the two of us to share. Then we shared the baked garlic feta dip, a new item for us to try and we will definitely order again. Then we shared an order of Shoshone Tawok (chicken kabobs) great char-grill. A few guys at the bar and one or two other tables were all good hat was going on. Hey it was Monday, no judgement. Ok a little judgement. this place had Mediterranean food and outdoor seating . That's all I was asking for. My husband, being the smart guy that he is, was along for the ride. The patio is covered and sits to the side of the end location of a strip mall. They have done a really good job to make this space work. Kudos. One waitress for what was going on(didn't know that going in) she did a good job keeping everyone comfortable. Now, the food was really very good. We lived in the burbs of Detroit for many years and had access to the best Mediterranean food in the country and this place competes! Best hummus I've ever eaten. I had the Greek salad, not a fan of iceberg. The dressing was balsamic (could have been better). No chopping option. I do like my salads tossed and chopped. I had the Greek salad my husband had the fatoush. The stars of the show here are the kabobs and the meat. I had the petite filet. Perfectly cooked (I like em mooing) and I don't say that a lot. Then I read Monday's paper today (Weds) and realized that the health department was not happy with Poco Piatti on Central. The server was scarce throughout the meal. The food was good. Tonight Poco was on point. We had the pleasure of experiencing the Greek salad feta dip with pita chips shrimp saganaki beef tips and lamb chops. It was phenomenal. We frequent all poco locations. We love the food the ambiance the wait staff especially Victoria and the younger man with the beard, his service is excellent. Keep up the good work. I would just like to add how much i loved Poco on Monroe st. That was by far my favorite restaurant. However, location is affecting me less. As long as i drink the mixed sangria you are good to go. Amazing! First off, the pita and hummus is worth having on the table no matter what else you get. But truly, everything was great! The veggie grape leaves (which is not to everyone's taste), the garlic feta dip, the lamb chops, the markouk chicken wraps, beef tips, were all fawned over by the individuals who ordered them, as was the vanilla cremé brûlée. The idea of ordering multiple small dishes and being able to share them is such an amazing idea!! After COVID, this will be an ideal date night! Looking forward to the return trip! read more
