We ordered the cumin beef, twice cooked pork, beef noodle soup, fish in chili oil, and also a beef pho (not pictured because we started eating it right away). The twice cooked pork was my favorite. Really flavorful pork belly with leeks and chili, a little smoky from the wok, and perfect with rice. I'd go back just for that dish. The cumin beef was also great -- lots of cumin and spices with crispy bits of beef. The fish in chili oil came in a huge bowl packed with dried chilies, garlic, and peppercorns. Definitely spicy but really good if you like Sichuan-style dishes. The beef noodle soup was comforting and hearty, and the beef pho was solid too -- good broth and a big bowl. It's a pretty casual setup since it's inside the grocery store, but the food is legit and the portions are generous. Definitely worth stopping by if you're already at Pan Asia or craving something spicy

Place your order, go shop a little and go back and grab your food or stay and eat-in at one of the many tables. The #17 noodles, no protein is my absolute go-to FAVORITE dish along with the sauteed green beans and their plain fried rice is better than their shrimp fried rice. I love that they offer whole and half duck. I have to try the crispy pork that hangs along side the duck in addition to the duck. Also the prices are reasonable and the portion size is nice. They have a great menu offering and even sell cold dishes on the outside of the register in the display case, such as: sushi and vegan duck. See my pics attached to my review for Pan Asia

We were seated immediately, which we appreciated because we were tired and hungry. Since we already have our favorite dishes at Cate Zone, we knew exactly what to order as soon as our server came by. Our go‑to appetizer is always the beef tripe -- non‑spicy -- and it never disappoints. We always enjoy it with a bowl of rice, and the combination is incredibly comforting and flavorful. We also ordered the crisp shrimp with egg yolk, which is my 6‑year‑old son's absolute favorite. It's unbelievably tasty -- rich, crispy, and just out‑of‑this‑world good. For our last dish, we tried the crisp sautéed pork for the first time. This one didn't quite hit the mark for us. The flavor leaned sweet and salty with no spice, and it didn't have the same wow factor as the crisp shrimp we love so much. Still, it was worth trying something new. All our dishes came with a bowl of hot, steaming white rice, and everything arrived at our table in under 10 minutes -- their speed is impressive. The portions were generous, and we left completely full with leftovers to take home. Cate Zone continues to be one of our favorite spots, and experiences like this are exactly why we keep coming back.

And it wasn't spicy enough for me until I had to reheat it for lunch the next day. Woo, re-stir frying it with rice and cooking it for longer gets those chilli oils out and going. Chicken was great and my small side order of rice was plentiful! I ordered this for pick up and it was ready 10 minutes from placing it. Walking in, it was very spacious, and very modern looking. Shout out to the astronaut upfront. I will be back!

Update 2/20/26…read more Ordered Wan Fu to go last night for the first time since it changed ownership. The interior has been refreshed and looks fine for dine in. Nothing fancy but perfectly decent. We ordered crab rangoon, hibachi fried rice with beef, vegetable lo mein (no bean sprouts), wonton in chili sauce, and Pai Huang Gua (cucumber salad) - spicy. Online ordering was easy but the way they communicated pickup time was unfortunate. There was a canned "it will probably be 20-25 min unless we're busy" message at the beginning of the ordering process, but there was no other indication of how long it would take until I got a text to say "come now". I only live about 5 - 8 min away so it wasn't a big deal, but it was strange and could be difficult if you live further and need to know when to start driving. Food was packed nicely and service was good at pickup. Portions were not whopping but there was enough for everyone to get full on their meal. Hibachi rice tasted exactly like hibachi rice, so that was perfect. Beef in the rice was perfectly fine. Vegetable lo mein was chock full of delicious fresh veggies. That order was completely finished, no extra, so that portion was a little lacking. Crab rangoon were only ok. Filling was good but the wrapper was a little tough and didn't taste too good. Spicy wontons had a really nice meat filling and sauce, but they used the same wrapper as the rangoon (I assume) so they were very thick and tough. The cucumber salad was very fresh and nice and spicy. I would have liked to order an entree, but my kids wanted more appetizers this time and I didn't want tons of leftovers. Prices are a little on the higher side but I don't think they are any different than other comparable restaurants.

Fried rice was also good. So happy it's in my neighborhood!!

I used their website to set a reservation, that was fairly easy to do and we were seated close to our time. My biggest complaint is the cost for Asian meals here, it is not cheap. This was a second date so I expected us to talk a bit, and we did, so we were here for quite awhile. We never felt pressured to order, we were asked several times if we were ready but that was to be expected, our server was very nice about it. When we got down to it, it was very easy, my date had been here before and she selected Beef & Broccoli w/ white rice. I chose Teriyaki Chicken w/ white rice. We both chose Mich Ultras. My dates meal looked very good the broccoli was that bright green which indicates to me it was fresh and not overcooked. She said it was very good. My meal was very good, a nice sized portion and we got our rice in a communal bowl. No dessert for either of us, we were given the obligatory fortune cookies. All in, with 20% gratuity on the total, including tax, it was $65 or so. That's not terribly expensive but for Asian just seemed costly to me. Server was very nice, not pushy for more drinks, or to try wine or a specialty drink. That made the dinner quite enjoyable. If you have a desire for privacy you may want a booth, our table, designed for two, had a short privacy partition and sitting next to us, about 6" away was a couple on the other side of the partition. I presume our conversation could be heard by the other couple but I didn't feel we were being offensive to them. I don't ever really notice their conversation but my date and I could hear the laughter, children shouting, etc from a large family birthday group a couple of tables away because no partitions went to the ceiling, it's one big dining area. I do like PFC for Asian as the place always seems clean when I've been there. The food is expensive but for a casual night out it fits the bill.
