My experience was great from start to beginning the 1st day I called and left a message with my issue name and number and the very next morning he gave me a call back, I dropped off my laptop it had issues of the screen not showing so I thought it was the backlight, anyway, the very next day as my kid is so so sad without her laptop (she uses it for school and a game) I get the phone call that the laptop is ready. Stop going to these large stores to buy your computer-wares! All they care about is making money. They have minimal computer knowledge and even less sympathies for your computer problems. The last time I went to one of these places (not naming any names), they were also selling mattresses, kitchenware, water coolers, kids toys, etc. What the heck?! Seeing positive reviews of the place, I came here to fix my computer because gaming performance was poor and laggy and I wasn't 100% sure what was the problem with it. I troubleshooted my computer and game many times, uninstalling the game and reinstalling, reducing graphics quality, refreshing my wifi router, changing efficiency settings etc. but these didn't seem to fix my issue. I think one of the few solutions I had left was to wipe out my computer, which the person at the front desk supported me with (and I believe checked out any other issues with my computer). It was a quick, one-day process and he was very nice to provide me with a lower rate, which I appreciate. After I got home, I reinstalled my game and now it works just fine (it's also on Windows 10 now, and I believe installing Windows 11 also had some level to do with my game's performance). My laptop recently became unhinged, or rather the hinge that supports the screen broke, which I failed to notice. When I attempted to close the screen, the hinge cracked the lower right half of the monitor. Being a DIYer, and handy with my hands, I figured I'd watch a few YouTube videos, become a screen replacement expert and save a few bucks. Then I remembered Zap Computer. I live down the street from the shop and have easily passed it hundreds of times on my way back from the Home Depot on Washington Blvd. Let me stop by and hear what they have to say about my unhinged and cracked laptop. Julio was behind the counter when I showed up with my damaged computer. He was straightforward and told me that the screen could be replaced but that the technician would have to see if the hinge had damaged anything else. He said he'd try to find a screen that was affordable and would get back to me the next day. True to his word, the following day Julio called me and told me they could fix it. When he told me what the repair estimate would be, I told him to go for it. Less than a week later, Julio called again and told me my laptop was ready. When I went to pick it up, he turned on the computer to show me the new screen. It was perfect. The hinge was fixed and the monitor resolution was great. I mentioned that it was too bad the camera was inoperable, at least it hadn't worked on the old screen for quite some time. He checked the camera function and voila, the camera was working again. I walked out of there with an almost new laptop, an unbroken screen, and a functioning camera. I recommend Zap if you live in the area and are having computer problems. I will definitely return the next time something happens with my computer, although I hope that it is not anytime soon (no offense Julio) since I have to watch my budget. read more

My only indifference is with the price, $120 to download a ios software to my old mac desktop (that was the only service i went there for). My experience here was beyond exceptional. My laptop would die as soon as I would take it off the charger, even if it was fully charged. When I contacted Dell regarding the warranty, Dell said they could fix it but I would have to send it in and it would take 2-3 weeks. When I explained this to Julio, he was able to get me in same day and diagnose the issue. He had to order the battery so I paid a deposit(that would go toward the repair cost) but Julio assured me that they would put it back together so that I was able to use the laptop while waiting for the battery to come in. It came in less than a week and they replaced it in less than 10 minutes. Don't want to have to have any more repairs soon but I know where I'm going if I do! I found this place while driving by and took a shot to find a charger for my Dell laptop and I had previously bought a couple off of EBay but it turned out to be cheaply made crap. But I went into the store and the guys were great and tried out two different chargers for my laptop and made sure it worked before I left. Now my laptop has power and I can work again! I also have a new place to get my repairs done and they also sell refurbished computers and monitors too if you don't want to spend a lot of money on new ones when these computers and monitors work the same just for less cash. The first time was for a virus I had acquired- and the ZAP team was able to remove the virus and even installed an anti- virus to help with future issues. It took them less than a day to fix and charged $100 dollars The second time I had to take my computer in was because I did not have enough storage. I am a student and constantly have to download videos and notes and needed more space. The ZAP team was able to remove old files and make recommendations on files that I could delete- but what I liked is they called first to get my approval before doing so to make sure it was ok!
