A stellar place in the middle of tourist trap places. They will not charge you an arm & leg but are not cheap either. Make sure to reserve your spot, otherwise, more than likely will have to wait, at least I assume during the busy summer months. The service is slow even after you are seated with drinks and food getting to your table, but the great tasting food makes up for it for the most part. Zappi's is a reasonable meal option very close to the Falls. We had the stuffed mushrooms, steak salad, and a large Zappi's works pizza. That was more than enough food for the four of us. The stuffed mushrooms had pork inside them and were topped with some cheese. The steak salad's meat was more like the shavings that go in a Philly cheese sandwich rather than actual steak, but it was still tender and well-seasoned. I found Zappi's works to be a bit on the salty side, with toppings a bit unevenly distributed but the dough was fluffy and even the ends were tasty. Service was a little on the slow side, and our water refills went entirely neglected. The stairs down to the washrooms are a bit of a trip and fall risk, and the washrooms needed a bit more attention. There are a few free parking spots (rare for this area!) and the building and interior have the charm of an old-school diner. The prices were comparable to restaurants in Toronto, and the portions were generous. Not a tourist trap! We'll probably visit again. read more

Prices here were reasonable, service was fine, and most importantly, the food was actually good. Because of the long drive and packed schedule, we didn't order much. Just shared the Zappi's "Works" pizza and the stuffed mushrooms. Both were solid. No fuss, nothing trying too hard, just well-made and satisfying. I don't know if it felt extra great because I was so burnt out from disappointments at other spots nearby, or if this place is just that consistent, but either way, I was just glad to be there. While visiting Niagara Falls I wanted to find a good restaurant that wasn't super expensive and I found it at Zappi's. I really liked the Italian feel to the restaurant. The decor was really cute. I made a reservation in advance so we did t have to wait long to be seated. We decided on the fried mozzarella for an appetizer and it was really good. I'm not sure why but the pizza really surprised me and my husband with how good it was. We got the small which was the perfect size for us both to share. My salad was fresh. I loved the pizza. The crust was delicious and soft with a slight chew. The mushrooms were fresh (not canned). The cheese was the perfect amount. I thought the pizza was very good. Big Daddy, however, complained that it lacked all taste. The chicken in the alfredo tasted processed. It reminded us of the pre-cooked chicken that comes frozen in a bag. The alfredo sauce, however, was fabulous. I could have licked the plate clean. For my family, this place was a place of extremes. Everything (food, atmosphere, setting, etc.) we either really loved or really disliked. Overall, probably not a place we'd return, but mostly because of the crowd and uncomfortable table. I give this a 4.5 but Yelp is making me round up to ten. While the Chicken Parm was good, I think where they truly shine is their pizzas. We stayed at the Radisson which was across the street from Zappi's. Zappi's is closeby to various hotels that are near the north side of the falls. So it's an easy walk but also has a nearby parking lot for anyone driving. The inside is small, loud with the typical italian vibrant feel. Service was great and attentive during our visit. We got right in around 8pm on a Friday night but it had a steady stream of business. We ordered the family house salad to start and it was huge. The salad was nice and fresh with cucumbers, mozz cheese, croutons, etc. and we got the house made balsamic dressing. For dinner we ordered a large diavolo carne pizza which is topped amazingly (salami, hot sausage, hot peppers, roasted garlic). I felt the crust was a little bland and dry but others in our party really enjoyed it. We decided to order delivery to our hotel room... we had our food within 40 minutes! To my surprise, the pizza was fabulous... and I'm a total pizza snob! I ordered the works... round hand tossed wood for pizza with pepperoni, green olives, mushrooms and red roasted peppers. I was going to pick the mushrooms off since I'm not a fan (my brother is though) but I didn't have to. They were chopped small and were a small amount that I didn't notice the taste. I thought it was pricey when I ordered but then again, it's located in a touristy area and it was delicious so the price didn't bother me after considering how much I enjoyed it. Hubby was craving pizza and Zappi's came recommended. We ordered the Diavolo carne pizza and the eggplant lasagna (basically typical eggplant parm) with a side of Caesar salad with anchovies. The pizza was Ok, the crust was crispy but dough was very dry, however the toppings were good and in abundance. This is an unassuming spot that is in a shared parking lot with a hotel. We arrived for lunch and we chose to seat in the covered outside portion of the restaurant. There was one waitress for the outside portion, it was pretty busy for just one person but the server covered the section like a pro. We ordered a couple of waters, a Caesar salad and "Zappi's Own Fried Mozzarella" to start off with. The fried mozzarella was not your typical mozzarella sticks, but rather more of one fried cheese patty (shaped a little bigger than a McDonald's hash brown). Everything arrived in a timely manner, the salad was delicious, it seems to be the norm for the salads in Niagara Falls, Canada to be served with bits of bacon but hey, who doesn't love bacon. The crunchy bits of bacon and the croutons were a welcome and perfect combination in the salad. I must add that bread was also brought to the table, the bread was a bit disappointing as it wasn't toasted, it would have been much better if it was. Let's turn to the fried mozzarella, it was really good. It was crunchy on the outside, creamy on the inside and the tomato sauce was perfectly sweet. The tomato sauce was really good! I paired this with the bread and it made the bread much better For our entrees we shared a sausage and pepperoni pizza and linguini Alfredo (with chicken, spinach and mushrooms). Everything was really good, but the standout was the pasta, it was so creamy, so well seasoned and just perfect. The pizza was also really good. I found the pepperoni to be spicy, but that's a me problem, because I really don't like spice and am super sensitive to spicy foods, I'm like a child when it comes to it.
