I wish I can give negative stars. I am 9 months pregnant and wanted to return some gift items. They ran out of gift cards so they Said my only option was to exchange or come back. I had to wait 20 minutes for a manager to come to tell me that and there wasn't nothing in the right sizes for my children. So they told me to come back or go to another store. This Zara location at the Westfield Santa Anita makes you feel like crap shopping here. I came here recently around 11am on a Sunday with my two girls because I wanted to do some back to school shopping for them. It looked like there were more associates in the store than customers. Grabbed a couple dresses and went to the register in front. There were 3 associates at the register but only 1 was ringing. The other two associates (one guy one girl) were looking at their clipboard, giggling at each other and didn't pay attention to the fact that I had been standing there waiting in line for a good 10 minutes. The other associate at the register was doing a large return. It wasn't until another associate (possibly stockroom associate?) came by and saw that I was waiting and said, there was no wait at the register in the back of the store. THANK GOODNESS FOR THAT MAN! Or else I would've had to probably wait 20 minutes in line. I said thank you to him and told him that it would've been nice if the associates who were diddle daddling at the register would've told me. One of the associates had the nerve to roll my eyes at me. The customer service that those associates at the register should've taken an initiative to acknowledge my presence for waiting or just ring me up so I can go! If I'm going to be treated like this, then I'd rather go to Ross or Forever 21 and pay 25% of the cost of what I spent at Zara. So sad to see how every other review for them at this location shares the same sentiments. If the manager, Kate, doesn't care and doesn't hold their associates to some customer service standards, then I don't see this store lasting through 2020. You shouldn't assume a single employee in this store will help you with your shopping experience. Especially if you're looking to buy a decent amount of clothes they get annoyed with you for wanting to buy multiple clothing items. Fitting room was a horrible experience. Sassy manager no accommodations if you have over 10 items. These people either have something stuck up their butt or don't care enough. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! To start off this is a skinny girl, probably hispanic, curly hair in ponytail. Looked upset, bored, stuck up like She didn't even bother to be there. Didn't even say hi, hello when I approached. I asked for an exchange with a whole bunch of my other stuff that I ordered online. The girl checked and said there is one on store that She can exchange for me. But she said I had to go look for it. She didn't even offer to help or at least point out the direction. So I had to find it myself. Finally when I got it, she said rudely to me that hold on to it cuz she is going to do it at the end. She ran the return transaction for my other stuff, then kept my exchange item at the end just to run another return transaction with it. Then she told me I had to purchase it again cuz she already processed a return. Well WHAT IS THE POINT OF HOLDING IT TO THE END???? She didn't even apologize for ignorantly messed up. I didn't have my card with me, so I can't even made the purchase. Also the item I want is right there...The point is that not only this girl caused me inconvenience but also her attitude made me feel worthless as a customer. I spent $800 and more every time with Zara. At least have some kind of respect toward the people that keep ur paycheck coming in. Bad customer service. I bought 300$ plus worth of clothes and in less then 24 hrs i went to exchange two items that did not fit. Sizing was like for small teens. I had lost my receipt and ask for a store credit. They said no and I said so this is just lost money and the manager replied " pretty much". So pretty much they just wanna take your money. I visited the store today with my service dog. To my dismay, the store employee didn't seem to welcome us and asked us to leave the store even though I had provided him with proof of the service dog's. I urge Zara to reconsider its pet policy and train its staff adequately regarding service dog regulations and their rights to enter publice establishments. Think twice from buying their sales items. I cannot speak for all their lines but their dress shirt is made with really CRAPPY CHEAP material. I purchased a dress shirt on sale in January 2019, wore it ONCE, and the fabric started coming APART after the first wash. When I went in to complain about the poor quality of the shirt. Their manager said there was nothing he could do since I wore the shirt now. If I wanted a refund or an exchange, I should have brought it in the condition which it was purchased. So I guess at Zara, I am not expected to wash my clothes or wear the shirt more than once. I have tried zara once and now I am done. read more

So I've got a love-hate relationship with this Zara location. It's really big, yes...not the biggest Zara I've been to, but big enough for a lot of unorganized items. I'm not saying anything about any particular sales or floor clerk because almost every one I've dealt with have been pretty decent (not ultra friendly, but good enough to get by). I think this is because the store needs more employees and they are swamped. Usually it's hard to find items, but when you're asking an employee and they are so busy that they tell you to go look through the store because "if we have it, it'll in on the store somewhere", I'd want to leave. The line to the dressing room downstairs is usually really long. The line to the registers are also really long. Every time I've gone there are 4 registers with only 2 employees at the registers. Again, not blaming the employees but the store needs to hire more people to lessen the burden. Tips: Closest department store is Macy's. Pick up your online orders in the dressing room area. Usually the register upstairs where Children's clothes are, are emptier! read more

Zara already has super lame policies but the store experience here is even worse. I've had annoying experiences here many times over stupid small stuff. You'll never catch them greeting u or asking if you need help. Most of the clothes are a rip off, skinny jeans stretch out ugly and rip, seams rip, blouses get easily torn (literally if u swipe your nail on it). These are $40 shirts, getting easily torn and beat up! They don't have size-inclusivity (I bought a pair of leggings size M, a size up, and it still didn't fit!!) My wild stories (for whomever wants to read): -I rarely ask for help, but I couldn't find what I saw online. When I asked a girl for help she looked at me and kept talking to her coworker. -I wanted to try something on but the ladies fitting room had a long line, per usual, so I go up to the men's fitting rooms and ask if I could try on. The staff told me no because it was only for men's. This was 2018!!! Every fitting room in the mall now is gender neutral!!! I'm surprised they even allow you to buy women's clothes at the men's register omg. -I had a return that I wanted to repurchase with a gift card and the manager denied it. I didn't want my money back, I just forgot to use a gift card that was gifted to me. Nowhere in their policy did it say it wasn't allowed. I should be allowed to repurchase the items using my own gift card. They're not losing any money!! -I passed by today to make a return and was coming from the jcpenney side of the mall. I get here and the top doors are closed. So I have to go to the Macy's side, take the escalator and walk back to Zara. I work in the mall and no other 2-story stores are doing this. This is only done on a busy day like the weekend to better control the amount of visitors coming in and out. I'm writing this on a Tuesday. A very slow day. -One time my shirt shrunk a whole size and I asked the manager if I could at least exchange it for another one and they said no. How do you sell cheap quality stuff and rip people off like that? -DO NOT LOSE YOUR RECEIPT!!! They won't forgive you. I wanted to return a shirt that was so ugly on me but u couldn't try stuff on cuz pandemic. I lost the receipt, it happens. They wouldn't let me exchange if for something else only the same garment. If it looked ugly on me, why would I want another one?! I would've even payed a difference if I found something worth exchanging for!! I just threw the whole blouse away. -Like I said, I work in the mall and I get Zara employees shopping at my store here and there. Recently one came in and even out of work, this girl was super rude, snobby and demanding. She had no manners, I had to question how she got hired, I'm sorry. But this is the reality of who they are!!! -The cashiers are so slow and have no sense of urgency. EVERYTIME I go there the line moves soooo slow. Every purchase and return is done with the upmost disregard for the customer's time and satisfaction. Specifically this location. It's almost as if they do it on purpose.... We need to stop giving our money and attention to companies who don't value us. Zara values fame and money! You can tell, HIGHKEY! I was gifted a pair of pants from a different Zara, but had to exchange them for a different size. I checked online and found that my local Arcadia store had this size. When researching store hours, I had read many of the very unfavorable reviews about the store, and as such I fearfully entered with the expectation of poor service. I'm sure that, if I had met the supervisors described in the reviews, this review would not be favorable. However, I had the good fortune to be offered help from Andrea. I could not find the correct size of pants, and when I told her, she greeted me, stopped what she was doing and asked me to wait while she checked. In a few minutes, she brought me my size! I had unsuccessfully searched the store, but somehow she found what I needed! I then had to wait in the slow, long line I had read about. But again Andrea approached me to suggest that I complete the exchange upstairs in the men's section, where there were only three people in line! Based on all the reviews, my suggestion is that Andrea be promoted to supervisor. read more

I bought 4 items only, one of them did not fit me well so I want to return it and get a refund. I thought I will be going to the mall anyways so I'll just return it there rather than through mail. I got so busy with life and stuffs so I almost forgot about this one item that I needed to return. It was just sitting there in my room (it was still in the original brown packaging). A week before the return day period, I went to this store and asked for a refund/return. Whoever was in the cashier accused me of wearing the item cause it smells like detergent! LOL The shirt has that kind of material that it will be obvious if it was already washed or not. The tag and everything was there. Zara needs to update their policy on exchanges with no receipt. Their mark ups are ridiculously high so they can afford to at least honor store credit or exchange for merchandise. I was given a gift (with no gift receipt) over the holidays. I went into this location to exchange it for another item equal value or pay the difference but was told that their policy is that exchanges with no receipts are permitted to only exchanges of sizing of the same exact item. They didn't even carry this item in store so my only option is to keep it. I had 8 items in hand that I was going to purchase in ADDITION to my exchange but was put off by this lame policy because Zara wants to ensure that they are keeping in money when they could've monetized more with me returning to the store. You're losing money this way in the long run. This would've been a great opportunity for them to optimize sales/UPT with a returning customer. I won't be returning here and I'll be donating my gift to goodwill. (I'm not going to even comment on their customer service or lack thereof. The company itself has the worst customer service ever. I had an online order delivered to this Zara store but when I came to pick it up, they said they could not find my order and told me to call the customer service. I gave them SO MANY calls and they kept saying the order has been picked up from my friends or family members. This is a stupid explanation! The store staff needed a valid ID from a customer in order to hand out an order. They also blamed on my account was not secured, that's why someone stole my info to pick up the order. When I told them I am going to report this to the general attorney, they even said I could go ahead and do it and I am going to do it! Spent over 300 and ended up needing to return some thing but couldn't find the receipt. I spoke with an associate and explained the situation he informed me I could return it in the store for store credit, which is completely untrue. So then called their customer service to do a receipt look up and they still can't find the receipt 2 weeks later after I've called multiple times to ask what is the issue and have provided additional information each time. Ordered something online for pick up at his location even tho it's more than 30 min away from me. I needed the item for a bday gift. Got the confirmation email saying my order was ready to be picked up. I drove the 30 min to pick it up and IT WASNT THERE!! I asked the employee if they had the item in stock and she tried to sell me a dirty pair with scuff marks. I said I'll wait till MY order comes in. Found so many amazing items this past weekend; in love with my satin Kimono robe. Only problem I have is hat everything is just thrown around in the men and women's section (mainly women), it makes it difficult to find anything, you have to dig. It would be nice if they had someone go through the items and place them in order as customers are placing things around. I know it's a hassle but that's how it should be in a retail store (used to work in a retail store). Honestly, I would have bought more thank the $500 I spent on Friday. As for the kids selection, it's fairly clean and organized. I would wish that the toddler section for boys had more of a selection, I was only able to find one pair of pants for my 2 year old. The outfits are adorable though. Either way, organization are he weakest points of this store. Having items in place would help shoppers, like myself, find sizes and items quicker and easier.
