If there was a time to just put zero stars as an option I would. When we walked towards the door of this location, three staff members (three thin men) were in a heated argument. To avoid the awkward stares, we curved and walked into the men's area. When we stepped in we were shocked! After all these successful years in the United States, I know this company must adapt to the insane sales offered by competitors. Today I witnessed the true downfall of this company in the US. In Bellevue; especially Bellevue square, cleanliness means it's an attractive place to shop. Instead, this store reflects the chaos of poor management, no direction, staffing concerns and evidently cleanliness isn't a focus! If I could rate this 1/10 of a star I would. Went in for the first time in the bellevue location. I saw they had a sale so my daughter and I went In to check it out . Long story short , we found some denim pants that are priced at $45.90. When associate scanned it, it rang up at $49.90. I told the sales associate she said "it's probably $49.90 w tax" so I waited to see my receipt, sure enough it rang as $49.90. I told the associate again she said "it's probably mis-priced" I told her "then you should have put $49.90, you need to honor the price that is on the tag" the associate then says "I need to get my manager I'm just an associate " . I tell her to call a manager. Once a manager comes she's just as rude as the associate. I tell her about it the price then she says it's probably mis-priced. Once again not my problem. She does the exchange then says "if you want to return this it has to be w the 2nd receipt " DUH obviously. Unfortunately this will be the first and last time I shop in this store . I will provide you guys w a screenshot of this tag and receipt so you all know I ain't making this up . I will definitely be bringing this up to corporate. The service is unacceptable! The return policy is rubbish! Given the current circumstances of holidays and shipping issues you would hope they would be more relaxed on their 30 day return policy. THEY ARE NOT! Even with the receipt and tags on they will not return, exchange, give store credit, or do anything to help meet their customers' needs. This review is both for the store and the company. Customer service was horrendous at both places. After complaining about the same on social media, they asked me to DM them, which I did and received the same lack of help and same answer... anything over 30 days won't be accepted as any type of return/exchange. It's a shame because they have cute clothes! Unfortunately, this is my first and last time shopping with Zara. I feel Anthropologie has similar clothes, better quality, but higher prices. I love the clothes in Zara but the experience is always a nightmare. I've been to this store 3 separate times in the past week for various reasons. The first was on a Saturday afternoon and while I'm always prepared for the mall to be busy on a Saturday, Zara always happens to be busiest with a check out line that took an hour to get through. I went back Tuesday afternoon around 4pm to return some of the items I purchased on Saturday (no fitting rooms of course!) and yet again had to wait in line for more than 30 mins to return. Today I was back to try and find a specific item for a wedding I'm going to this weekend and went at 1130 am thinking I could beat the crowds. Guess what? Waited 35 mins in the check out line at 11:30 am on a Wednesday! Their cashiers are slow as hell and they always have only one or two at the stand despite lines out the door and the rest of the employees just walk around the store aimlessly organizing hangers. Luckily for Zara this is a mass market retail brand that people won't stop shopping at but honestly the experience is just horrifying and often I wonder if it's even worth it. The managers of these stores desperately need to make a change. Reopen your fitting rooms to cut back on the amount of people holding up the lines for returns for starters. Had an armload of clothing I was trying to purchase and the line was literally from the cashier all the way to the opposite end of the store, same situation in kids and mens. Why they had like 2 cashiers on a weekend is really poor planning, and based off these reviews, this wasn't the first time so not sure why they haven't improved. The fitting rooms were closed so perhaps they could've used those sales associates to ring and presumably shouldn't have needed as many floor staff putting away clothes since there were no go-backs. After waiting in a line that moved just 2 people over 10-15 min, I had to leave to go to the bathroom. I asked a (bored) sales associate on the floor if they could hold my purchase and she just looked at me and flatly said no. The customer service at this location is abysmal. I purchased a sweater in September and the first time I wore it, the seam at the shoulder split. I attempted to exchange the item within 30 days, however, I was denied my request. The manager said because I had worn the item, I was not able to exchange it. That is true, I did wear the item. However, there was a defect in the sweater which caused it to come undone at the seam. I would think that they would stand behind the product they sell and offer me the opportunity to exchange it in person at the store. I am very disappointed. read more

Good spot in Seattle, much needed for Bellevue! Seattle Zara has been great for the past two years. But this was a great addition to Bellevue. Came here yesterday for their opening. It was busy as expected. The space is much bigger than their Seattle store. Love the separation between men and women store. Their items are the usual: some pretty, dressy, florals, casuals and laid back. Dressing rooms can use a little more cleaning as they seem dusty. They also seem to have a lot of sale items for the opening. Overall, love the transformation of this space. A lot better lay out than Seattle store. Same pretty stuff. read more

This store fits my style and budget for the quality that it provides. I get anxiety walking through the mall for too long, but still need retail therapy from time to time so this is one of my to go stores. I wouldn't get any shoes here because they don't seem that comfortable, but I love the clothes here. I enjoy collecting blazers and the choices here are fashionable enough that I don't look like a middle age politician. On 08/15 I went to Bellevue store to return an online kid clothing purchase that made during Covid lockdown which Zara company doesn't allow online return until store reopen. The two items have all the tags attached as original and purchase receipt. By far the worst zara I've been too all over the world! Other than maybe one in London that's pretty busy. There are always insane lines. Today there was a giant line for the checkout which is normal for this location but it had almost an equally long fitting room line. Blows my mind how people keep coming to this store. I've been to this location 2 times. First time I walked out instantly from how messy everything was it gave me anxiety. This time I had to return a few things and didn't want to have to drive downtown to skip waiting in this line for probably a similar long line in DT as well. Next time I'm shipping my returns lol. I really try and avoid going in person to Zara's in Seattle. They're always insanity busy. Not something I enjoy. Also, just to be fair. I purchased a pair of jeans a week ago (1/3/2020) at the Bellevue store. I was going to wear them a few days ago so took off the tags. I then noticed a tear just below the waistband. I still had the receipt so took it back to the Bellevue store to return as it was defective. After waiting forever in line (usual for Zara even just after they open in the morning), the cashier was processing my return when she called over the manager for an authorization. The male (Asian) manager came over and started getting agitated and said that I needed to get authorization from Customer Service and only after I received the authorization, I could come back to the store to return the item. I was a little confused about this process (my first time returning a defective item), so I asked him why I had to contact customer service. He then loudly started accusing me of wearing, washing and attempting to return the jeans (please note this is one week after I purchased the item). I was taken aback by his unnecessary aggressiveness and decided to deal with this with customer service. What I'd like to point out is even if I did wear and wash the item (which I did not), it should not tear like that one week after purchase. This would be a textbook definition of "faulty" or "defective". Zara should not be selling products that can't hold up for at least a week. I spent about 45 minutes here shopping and perusing through their selection of men's clothing. Not once did any employee offer to help me, get a fitting room started or anything. While I was trying on clothes in the fitting room I heard two employees speaking rudely, right outside of my room, about another costumer that was out on the floor. Once I decided what all I was going to purchase and was exiting the fitting room, finally an employee came over but only to tell me that the register in the Male section of the store wasn't being used and that I would have to walk across to the women's section to make my purchase. Once I arrived at the women's check out station, the cashier who checked me out did a great job. She was kind and personable and enjoyable to be around. The employees working in the men's section were impersonal, rude and basically ignored me while I was shopping.
