If I could leave less than one star, I would. I made an in-store purchase of a pair of cargo pants back in March and finally wore it this past week. Love the fit of these pants and I have purchased many items from Zara in the past and never had any complaints until now. Never have I doubted the quality of Zara products including these pants, from just the looks and feel of it, but as I was getting into the car to sit, the pants ripped right down the middle. When I purchase clothing, I am all about comfort, so I can't say it was too small for me. I bought my size and surprisingly, it was a perfect fit-from the waist, bumm area, all the way to the length of the pants. I've never had this happen before so I was a bit shocked, not too mention embarrassed, since I was out and about with my friends when this happened. I wrapped a jacket around my waist and went on hoping it wouldn't fall off. I can't imagine Zara would sell products with such poor quality, this must be one of those pants that slipped through the quality check by mistake. I physically went into the Zara store in the Glendale Galleria hoping to get a replacement. But , because it has been over a month since it's purchase, I was Re-directed to calling their on-line customer service to get it resolved. So I did, to be told I needed to go into the store and speak to the manager to find resolution. Hello, I already tried that!!!! I was told multiple times by Hanesha (online rep) that they couldn't do anything to help me. RIDICULOUS!!!!! This is the type of customer service that Zara provides - ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE. I love Zara. I can honestly say 90% of my clothes are from here. I usually look online to see what I like, see store availability, then go to a store to grab it. I like this Zara because it has children's clothing. I've been to all the stores in the area and get the good costumer service here. They've always been courteous over the phone when I need to reserve items. In all honesty all Zaras can be a little messy because of the patronage. Love their jeans and shoes. June 2018... There are 5 chicks standing around the register but only one is ringing. Sometimes I have the leisure to stroll around the mall without a care in the world but at other times I have places to go and people to see and standing in a line for 15 minutes while the employees are lollygagging is not my idea of fun. Been shopping at Zara for several years now and truly enjoy the customer service each time I visit the location in Old Town, Pasadena or at the Santa Anita mall. I've had the chance to TRY and shop at the location inside of the Glendale Galleria two times and twice have I experienced the worst customer service known to man kind. Either they look right through you and don't acknowledge your existence as a customer or when they do its unwilling. Today I picked two suits to purchase and waited in line for what was about 8 minutes before eagerly making my way to the register, as soon as I got to the register instead of a, Hi how are you? Or a Did you find everything you need? I was told that they have no garment bags and she would have to fold the suit up and throw it in a bag; nonsense right? And instead of apologizing or providing any solution she asked if I want the suits or not - clearly I opted for the later of the two options given. Mind you after my "transaction" while a customer stood waiting to buy a shirt and the same cashier was approached by a manager and asked if she needs any help since the line was growing to which she responded she didn't care. On my other visit to the store I sought help and was left dumbfounded as each employee pointed at the other and no one wanted to take the time and help. This place is behind the times, with service policy. NOBODY likes paper receipts. And then you put the onerous on customers to keep their PAPER receipts for a return. This is not 1990. Get electronic record and receipts. Was rudely denied an exchange of a $30 item as I was about to purchase hundreds in clothes. So your stupid policy means people will walk out of your store and not spend any money. After seeing all the poor reviews and refusal to do returns. Looks like time to open a complaint to corporate. I wish I could rate this place 0 stars. I got a suit as a gift from my girlfriend she didn't know my size, the suit was too big and the employee at the Pasadena store who helped her told her she could go to any Zara and exchange it without the receipt. She said the only thing she needed was the barcode that's printed on the tag inside the suit. When we came to this location, (Glendale) and asked the employee that helped us was ok, doing her job. We asked for a manager, we spoke to two. SHEILA and FLAVIO ECHEVERRIA, and they were just super rude, unwilling to help, did not show any sort of interest in helping us resolve our issue, they told me to call customer service because they couldn't do it. As I kept trying to explain them the situation they would constantly interrupt me and repeat the same sentence over and over again without letting me talk? Kept trying to shut me down until I told him to stop being uneducated and interrupting me. He finally stop talking. I am really disappointed because I would have never expected such bad service here. I have shopped here for years and it sucks when they are super happy to take your money but when you want to exchange something they completely shut you up. What a terrible brand! I tried to return an item but was denied because I had no receipt. Welcome to the 21st Century, Zara, not everyone keeps their paper receipt. I could prove I purchased the item via online banking etc. but to no avail. Asked to speak to a manager who kept repeating themselves. I've been buying clothes from them for almost 10 years but never again after receiving such poor customer service. The store is filled with rude employees who don't greet you. Their employees are so rude and have the biggest attitudes. Only a few times have I ran into an employee that was kind. I ordered a dress online because I wasn't sure if it was going to fit me or not. While I was waiting for the order I ended up having to have a major surgery and it turned out the dress was not going to fit me. So I called their care line to cancel the order and get a refund but they are telling me they can't do that unless I go in the store. Against my better judgement I went in hoping it will be quick so I can get my refund because this dress wasn't cheap. The employees with their terrible attitudes told me i needed to wait in line (I was about to collapse). I decided it's not worth it and I will have to call and they told me I needed to go in and there was no way around that. I wasn't arguing with them over the phone I was calmly asking questions and explaining my frustrations. I asked to speak to another person who might be able to help better and the caller hung up on me. So I'm at a loss right now. This location is high traffic and features many products not yet available online. Zara is fast-fashion which means they cycle through products fairly quick, and you might not find the things you liked last week anymore. If you find something at the store, you like and have the size available then you should get it right away or you'll be stuck trying to find online or other locations with very little luck (Iv been there)! This high traffic store has long line at the fitting rooms and an even lengthier at the cash register. Still, online ordering is best bet! Both shipping and return shipping are free with purchase of $75 or more, which is easily doable! Good store, can get over busy sometime which kind of make it hard to try things. read more

The Beverly Center Zara store and staff are amazing! The store was very neat and and clean, all clothes were folded. Everyone had great smiles and were very helpful. I was in the womens deparment and this tall nice guy asked right away "can I help you find something?" and of course I said yes please. I was looking for a gift, he asked what age groip and knew right away what was cool. Zara is my favorite store ever! The clothes are hip and the prices are the best the staff are nice. read more

This store is terrible. Employees are just fooling around . There is a line out the door and there is only 3 cashiers working. When customers complained and asked for more cashiers management was careless and said that the other employees aren't trained to be on the registers. If that is the case why let them work there. To be honest, if I could give no stars I would. I went with my brother to Zara to buy a few gifts for Christmas. I love the clothing here, but the customer service is absolutely crappy. I am not one to complain about businesses through Yelp, but rather just in person to the manager. I think everyone should know Zara's attitude toward customer service. My brother and I went to return a coat in which we presented the gift receipt, original receipt, and item back to the employee. He specifically asked for the money back on the card and even showed the employee his card, and inserted it in. A week later my brother realized that there was no money back on his card. We went back and come to find out the employee (must've been untrained) and gave us store credit. Well, we then asked for them to change it and switch it. They said, "There is absolutely nothing that we can do. Once it's store credit, we can't change it." How is it that we called the customer service line 4 times, went to the store 3 times, and in a matter of 3 weeks nobody was able to help us. In which today, the store manger refused to call their BIG boss and said we just need to call the customer service line. Well, we spoke to the "head" customer service boss and she said, "I'm sorry for the situation but it was your fault hat you presented the gift receipt with the coat. That's why he gave you store credit." What the.... how is that right? He even took our card. As an oblivious customer to their policies, we just gave them all the things we had to get out money back. I'm sorry but Zara, for a billion dollar company... your customer service is worth nothing. A week ago I shopped from Glendale gallery 500$ worth of clothes, one of pants is small on me and the worker apparently put the receipt in my shopping bag. I called them today and spoke with one of the workers. She told me we will not be able to exchange it or return it without a receipt, I asked for the manager of the store LISA. I wanted to return the pants or exchange it for shirts she did not help me to solve this problem without a receipt. The worker never gave me the receipt or put it in the bag. I have never been so offended at any retail store in my life. While shopping there I asked the employee to bring me the second pair to boot I was trying on. She brought the wrong size and then argued with me for 5 minutes to convince me that I told her to bring the size she brought instead of apologizing or just bringing the correct size. After I told her My shoe size is an 8 so why would I ask her for a size six, she began to raise her voice at me that I was the one that said the wrong size. I asked her why would she bring a size six as the second pair to a size 8? How does that make any sense. Before I knew it, her manager Paula or Paolo, claiming she was the "owner" of the store approached me aggressively threatening to kick Me out of the store and never let me back in. What? Without even asking what the issue was she began to yell at me and raise her hand as if she was talking to a child waiving her finger at me. The whole experience was So surreal that I just couldn't believe that a retail store manager would be such an idiot. I don't like calling people out but she has no business being a manager. It's a shame that people like Paula get to a position that they are clearly not fit for and likely got no training for. Zara should reconsider their hiring and training policy. read more
