ZARA is supposedly an international company, but they don't support their product when crossing borders. I purchased several items in Toronto recently. Two of which did not fit or were sold to me damaged. I didn't realize this until I got back home to Houston. Attempting to rectify the exchange/refund at my local store I was made aware of their international "policy" of not honoring returns or exchanges. Each country is treated like a separate business and after wasting an hour on the phone with the US and Canadian corporate office I realized I was only hitting a brick wall. ZARA's clothes are only nice because they are cheap and don't look half bad for a mall store. I guess you do get what you pay for. You've proven your loyalty to me,ZARA, so my loyalty to you will be in the form of no longer gracing your showrooms full of cheap knockoffs. read more

Zara is fashion forward and at an affordable price. This Zara has the biggest selection, they have a stock room the size of a warehouse below the store, so most things are not on the floor due to their floor size. A sales associate can always send a stock check for what you are looking for if they have it. read more

My only problem are the price tags, but that's not to be expected considering my college student job/budget! I am so in love with Zara! As Houstonians, I think we're really lucky for the Galleria to include this store! I know not many malls in different states contain a Zara, so that's a brownie point for us! I think it's pretty cool when I hear my friends from other states are traveling to Houston just to make a shopping trip at Zara :) Makes me feel as if I have a little of the upper hand living over here (sorry!) The one star is for the one employee there who was actually helpful. The rest of them - all 20 or more - were wandering around looking busy but not interacting with customers whatsoever! All I needed to do was exchange one for one items of different sizes. The check out is SUPER slow - they actually take the time to put the sensors back on the purchased items before he would exchange them for the new sizes I needed. I remember when Zara used to be a place where I could go and was guaranteed to find something that I liked. Recently, the quality has become more like H&M and the quantity has increased tenfold. This store in particular used to be my fave before the much needed remodeling. Now that Zara is expanding everywhere in the Houston area, I feel like it has lost it's cuteness to me. I remember a time when their sales associates used to be helpful and would dress up for coming to work. Now it created an environment where that one friend of yours was one shot away from depresso. Their sales never have anything that I am looking for and their regular priced items feel like they are made with really cheap fabrics. The products no longer have a good finish. There was a sports jacket that I tried on and the inside of the sleeve literally had so many threads coming out of it like it was rushed out of a sweatshop so that the material would reach the US from Bangladesh before a labor union raid or something. This Zara has everything. I don't usually shop at Zara but I bought several things at this location because I saw quite a few items I liked. I went during Labor Day weekend so it was slammed. The baby clothes there were soo cute (I do not have a baby *yet). I got a sick pair of black edgy leather like pants with zippers on the sides of the pants, a red jumper for my girlfriend's birthday present, and a a tiger sweatshirt that I found in the boy's section. I LOVE zara! You can always walk in and find something! They always have amazing womens shoes. The jeans are priced good. $40-$60 and have an amazing fit. It's always stocked with cute dresses, skirts, pants, everything! Of course their designs are knockoffs of trends set by major design names, but, helloooo, that's what all the clothing stores/boutiques do, so it's nothing new. I wish they had ZARA kids like in other countries :( The mens department is very small, and only sometimes have good stuff, in the winter they always have cool jackets. You can mostly find formal wear for work. (( Yes, the quality is not the best, but its not bad either. Love love this store. You can always find something here that's reasonably priced but with better quality than the other fast-fashion sores. Zara clothes aren't disposable like F21 and is much classier. I can find nice business casual here, cocktail attire... Even jeans and layering basics that are all very cute, fit well, and last through the washing machine. Also their hand bags are something to look at while you're there. Some are made from real leather, not all, and they always have a decent price tag. Zara is from Spain and truly reflects the sleek simple European look... Saw something on the return rack that I wanted to purchase and they said they could not sell it to me for 48 hours. I asked multiple employees to confirm this and they said yes. I wanted to make sure I would not miss out on the last of this clearance item and they said to come back at 11 in two days. I rushed to the store to get there at 11 that day and they said they didn't open until 12. I asked if they could at least see if the item was there so I wouldn't need to wait for an hour and they said no--we're closed. Their customer service doesn't begin until 12pm Sunday. read more

Purchased 2 pairs of Jeans for my 13 year old on November 1st of this year, gave them to her on Christmas Day (and she was not happy with the style) - tried to exchange them on the day after Christmas and was informed that as it was over 30 days from my purchase that they were only exchangeable for the exact same product in a different style. I would suggest not shopping at Zara at all, but if you feel that you have to .. wait until mid December so that the person you are buying for has an opportunity to exchange. read more

This location left me bitter about the customer service that zara "provided". Before I proceed, I'd like to skim through the quality of the items before expressing my frustration about this particular store. Zara used to provide such great quality for their brand but recently most of the items lacked elasticity and the material no longer feels like what I paid for. If anything all the blouses feels like polyester and the graphic tees shrinks/ fade within 3 washes (I'm not even exaggerating, all my shirts looked like they came out of a thrift store). Unfortunately, I'm one of those people who gets riled up when my clothes goes to waste but they fit my style so I somehow always get lured in... yes, I'm aware that my logic isn't completely there, but bare with me. Styles are always up to date and I like how Zara has a specific theme to them that I can't seem to fall for in other stores, their fit is also another factor. Their consistency in selecting styles to sell is generally the reason why I still lurk on their website. Back to this particular store's customer service. I'm an employee at another retail so I'm aware of policies and how to maintain a respectful attitude towards those who work in the same industry as I do. As I walked in the first thing I noticed was how stoic the workers looked. All the workers there seemed like they hate their job... I get that retail is a horrid job and you don't get paid enough to put up with the crap that the job entails, but does anyone not believe in work ethics anymore? (I mean, not to sound pretentious or anything) I went into the store to ask if my items were still good for returns since I forgot their return policy. On my receipt, it told me that I would be able to get store credit if I was unable to return it within the allotted time (or so that's what I thought I had read). The cashier told me that my return had expire and she would not take it back, and they were not able to issue me store credit. Which was fine since it's store policy. A lady with short black hair and glasses comes up to me and told me to call customer service and "they would tell me the same thing" with the most distasteful look on her face and her tone did not give an ounce of decency to want to help me. She acted like I gave her an attitude or even uttered a word to her... I was so shocked that I just walked away silently because wtf? yeah that's literally what I thought as I walked out. Apparently, she was the manager so I was like great, an asshole manager. I'm an avid online shopper so I'll probably stick to that from now on. I lived on Zara when I lived in barcelona. I was superpsyched to see it at the Galleria, but my oh my, this is not the Zara of my Euro-wandering days! Poor quality, high prices, and everything is smushed together everywhere in a big mess! I read some reviews from the guys on here for the Zara in the Galleria and I have to confirm their experiences all seem to be true. For some reason, the houston Zara thinks it is better than it really is. In San Francisco or New York, Zara has a way more casual and mainstream atmosphere, almost like a Gap for people out of high school. In Houston, the sales associates seem to think they're working at some avant-garde high-end store. I've never been offered assistance once, and when I do ask for help for things such as moving something stored at the top of the display down to see, they're usually SO LAZY about it. One time an associate literally said "Oh just look at it from here and decide if you like it first." What does that even mean?! And it's not like they're busy, they are usually just standing behind a computer with the screensaver going. Or they're dramatic guys dressed like they're a wannabe fashion blogger running around like headless chickens acting busy and flustered eventhough they're not actually helping anyone or running any errands. Seriously, just have your eyes follow one of those sales guys who just seems to be all over the floor, it's like he's playing human pinball by himself with the sides of the store. As for the clothing options, the Zara Galleria one lacks a lot of the options that are in hipper cities and that are available online. Based off how this review is going, it should not be surprise that the stuff I do buy at Zara are from their online webstore which have more options and are oddly more user friendly than the actual people they hire. read more

We were shopping and trying on some clothes at Zara, before hand we asked if "two people could enter the dressing room? " and the attendant told us not a problem. But ten minutes later another attendant yelled behind the curtain demanding someone to get out immediately. "Store policy only allows one person in the dressing room!" When we attempted to explain, we were treated unfairly and talked down too. When addressed to the store manager, we received a generic apologize. We've shopped in Zara in Buenos Aires, loved the service and it's impossible to believe this treatment in USA, employees need to receive "Ethic's training and some form of customer service courses" before being allowed to assist customers. I can usually find some great, affordable clothing here. Their prices range greatly from item to item but can accommodate almost any budget. Their handbags are also priced really well and on trend. I think of Zara as a fast fashion store hit with much better quality. This was my first time actually coming to this location on a Saturday and all I can say is wow! Kudos to the staff for constantly folding and straightening up the sales floor. Every time I saw them they had a handful of clothes that needed to be hung up or refolded. The line for the fitting room was ridiculous, intimidating and cut my shopping trip short because I did not want to wait in that line. I would suggest going on a weekday if possible. If u want customer service, don't shop here. First of all one of the salespeople couldn't even speak English. They were having a store wide sale and we picked out a blazer that was marked $69.99 along with a 100 other blazers marked the same. Unfortunately the tag on the jacket I wanted fell off by the time I got in line. When they went to ring it up they said it was $149! My wife went back to the rack & grabbed the exact same jacket in a different size w/ a price tag but they refused to sell the size I wanted at the same price. They said we can buy the other size for the sale price but not the size we wanted! Are u f-ing kidding me?! I totally agree with the rest of the reviews, the one star goes for the clothes that are very nice and unique (especially the coats and jackets) and the good sizes for small people like me. The lack of more stars is due the horrible customer service, the workers there walk around the store like zombies and don't bother to help or ask if you need anything, the ones at the registers don't even make eye contact as if you were to ask for an autograph. Excellent quality clothing, awesome leather shoes and bags at great prices, full of color and a little different from the run of the mill options at the mall. If you catch their sales, you won the lotto, because they are BIG sales. I went there in July (twice!) and did not get any item for more than $10.00, except a pair of comfortable cobalt blue suede shoes for $19.00. For teens, young adults, and young-at heart-whatever-your-age, male and female. Items are cool, elegant but almost on the edge, always stylish. Ah Zara what to say where to start. Since, I am reviewing this for this location I want to be fair. This is still by far my favorite clothing store but the issue is the men's selection is rather small. However, it's not as big an issue because of their amazing return policy. Free returns to any store is a major reason I shop here aside from their style of course. I usually order the same shirt with different sizes and return the size that doesn't fit. The employees are helpful and returns are easy. It usually gets packed but lines go relatively fast. As stated previously only the selection is a negative but I don't put too much blame on them, I'll just buy and test the sizes and return. read more
