An absolute neighborhood gem! Not sure what was best...the servers, the food or the ambiance. A cheerful upbeat place but not overly noisy. They make fresh pita in the wood fired oven. The hummus is fresh and home made with great texture. My husband had beef kabobs and I the mushroom gyro. All were divine. We also shared the pistachio baklava cheesecake. Absolutely worth visiting and a welcome addition to the area. Chef fuses different influences and ideas to present some unique but definitely Mediterranean dishes. Pricing is a bit steep on some items; $15 for a small plate of hummus is nuts unless you enjoy the ton of olives and other stuff that came on it (I guess they used expensive olives); I did not. But that was the only real dud and I appreciate a chef looking for creative takes on traditional dishes. Definitely worth a visit, and I'll be checking in to see what new stuff they create. read more

Went here for lunch. It was really good. Had the falafel wrap. Falafel was very tasty, with a little kick to it. Waitress recommended the French fries. They had a kick to it. Try the homemade pita with the sauces. Mango sauce was very good, tangy with a little kick. Tzatziki wasn't your usual taste, had a different spice added to it, but was quite good. We tried the pistachio cheesecake and that my friend was a hit, right out of the ball park. We will most definitely be back to try dinner! read more

I don't know if I'd recommend this place. Don't get me wrong, the service was wonderful and it's beautiful inside. However, the prices? I was floored. The whipped feta was tasty. It was $16. My falafels were alright, $16. Two steak skewers were $30. The steak was seasoned so odd. Almost like the taste of a burnt cigarette? Could've gotten better steak at Texas road house unfortunately. You can get double the food at a hole in the wall. The food just isn't worth the price. I won't be going again. read more

Wish the evening lighting was a bit less bright as it's a beautiful space but the sophisticated food would easily fit as a special date night place or trendy spot if it weren't so illuminated. But the food is so fantastic it's a must go place. Loved the open kitchen - and brightness works here as it's super clean looking. Flavors are unusual - not scary but definitely enough to keep you talking about what you're eating. Some of the flavored labneh are worthy by themselves and, star of the show for us, was the smoked chili cauliflower which is melt in your mouth delicious. Had to write this since someone said 'skip it'. Couldn't be more off the mark. Zara is exactly what it's supposed to be - a fresh food, quality neighborhood spot. The staff is enthusiastic and attentive - no "I'll get your server"...instead, everyone was anxious to help. Hummus and eggplant dips were made on premises and the filet kabobs were terrific. We need more of these small, neighborhood restaurants and less big box chains. Hope we will support entrepeneurs like this. read more

Skip this one. It cannot survive long with the limited menu, lack of enough indoor seating and poor service. Ordered the Limone chicken, came after a long wait, was TINY and we were going to share. Looked more like half of a pgeon. I then ordered a caesar salad with chicken and 4 little pieces of hearts of romaine came with a few pcs of chicken (not skewered) which were good. Drinks served with no ice, from a can for $3. Seating was in the parking lot with street noise. What happens when summer hits ! Will never go back and you save your time and money and find a better restaurant. They need to add some decent seafood choices at a good price and in general think about the palm beach audience. Amazing food, service and ambiance. Stumbled upon it while visiting dentist next door for lunch, decided to come back for dinner after having their lunch and did not regret it one bit. Every item of food was peak fresh (Greek salad was terrific) and the pistachio cheesecake with mango sorbet rounded a great dinner. The flavors of the dishes we chose were such a grand departure from Mediterranean food we have had in the past. There are enough vegan/vegetarian choices to make most happy. Service was pleasant. Ambiance was easy on the eyes, just enough wall decor. However the acoustics could use some sound proofing. Since it's a small dining room and there are tin ceiling, once it's full it's hard to have a conversation. Would return in the future and tell my vegetarian friends to give the menu a try. read more
