Zara has always been a store where fashion is where it is at. Originally from Spain, Europe so you know there is that style that you do not get in other stores. So Zara is pretty much high quality and they offer many styles from dress clothes to party time clothes. So many stylish girls always go to that store and the store has a beautiful inviting vibe that does not upset. It gives you that expensive hotel vibe of elegance and lounge music like instrumental jazz music playing in the background. The store is dimly lit giving you that expensive taste. I went inside and saw lots of fur coats. There is the white long fur but the button was dented and I couldn't buy it! It was the last one in the rack and it was a small size! That fur coat was the best one I saw in the whole store. Too bad the 2nd button down was messed up! Ugh! Then I saw another darker kind of like a beige color fur coat but did not suit my body at all. Looks too uniformed and boxy on me. I looked too bulked and wide in it. So I decided to not buy any of them because they were too uniformed and the fur was too short and trimmed. I was so sad I did not see a nice long fur coat that looks very good on me. Either my body does not look good or the fur coat looks too boxy and short. Anyways, I came across these red penny loafers in the back of the store and I tried them on. It looked so good on me with the sock and flare pants that I wanted to get them. I second hinted and decided to skip on those and then when I wanted them again, some girl took them and I was devastated. Luckily when I was about to leave the store, I found another pair of 7.5 red penny loafers on the floor of a rack. I got it fast and purchased it before anyone could take it away! So after that I saw some belts that I really needed to get. My flare pants I had on in the store kept on sliding down my hips! Ugh my hips are so small. Thankfully there were belts in stock. Too bad one of the belts I wanted did not come with a price tag and I was too lazy to ask a sales rep to get the price and get them to help me purchase it. I don't know why that brown belt was missing the price tag. Sucks. The belts were also in 3 different sizes. I had to get the 90 cms one and there were a few left. I ended up getting a black leather and a dark brown suede one in 90 cms that were still in stock! The brown suede one is really pretty and wide! They are also real genuine leather so you can smell that cow. Really smelly! But a good smell! I just wish Zara has more sales and discounts because the clothes are still somewhat pricey and in Europe they are cheap! It sucks that in America we have to pay the import tariffs that Europe does not have to. You can see the European prices and they are way cheaper than the American prices! Sucks. If only Zara can do something about decreasing the prices to match the European prices. There are now many self checkout kiosks and the receipt can either be emailed or texted to you on the phone. read more

Very clean store with an okay selection, but there's barely any staff around, and the ones I do see are unnecessarily rude. No greeting, no conversation, and you can't ask them anything -- the answer is always, "Everything we have is out, we don't keep backstock. If you don't see your size, it's already sold." Like... that's it? No offer to check another location, no suggestion to order online -- nothing. Whatever happened to customer service? Overall, the level of unprofessionalism is enough for me to not recommend this location. You're better off going to any other store. read more

The only thing they're consistent with is their abysmal customer service. I avoid this location whenever possible. I can overlook their apathetic, unfriendly, "I hate this job" attitude, but it's not acceptable to be rude to customers. I came in to return items and asked an associate where the returns are because there wasn't signage and because they are constantly switching it from upstairs versus downstairs. I went upstairs as instructed and there were no associates at the register, so I asked a nearby male associate if he could get someone to assist at the register for a return. He said it's downstairs, so I asked, are you sure because I came up here since the downstairs associate just told me to. He could have simply either 1) gotten an associate to help or 2) reconfirm that it is downstairs. Instead, he said with a condescending tone, "well you're welcome to wait at an empty register" and proceeded to walk away. This isn't a high end store so I don't expect 5 star service, but this is unacceptable basic customer service. read more

I purchased a nice blazer there for $150. It ripped above the pocket the next day (first time wearing it). Customer service both in store and on the phone could not care less. Staff member in store barely looked me in the eye and didn't help me try to find a solution for this shitty product. Overall I like their clothes but I'm not impressed with the quality, or their customer service. Yes, most of retail store are just OK. Because the lack of worker or the inaccurate stock system! I checked online there is one left at the store. I actually don't give very high hope about the sale that left in the store. but even no good price left in the boutique the worker are still good and give a service. The fitting room are empty but I actually like it. For all of you who have never shopped here, DON'T!!! Heed my warning. On December 12th I placed an order for 3 baby items and 4 adult items. The package arrived on the 15th and that morning I went to this store (if you want to call it a store) and returned the 4 items. Please note I have never shopped here before and will never do so again!! I walk in the moment the store opened and went to the second floor for returns. I went to a desk where there was no one there. I was then rudely told the person is on the other side. As if I was supposed to know that. I get to that desk and the person behind it was as miserable as everyone in that store. Now, a good customer service associate would have asked me since I presented a gift receipt if I wanted a store credit or the credit back to my card. I was asked NOTHING! She took it upon herself to give me a gift card (as if I would ever shop here again) and it wasn't even the full amount of the refund. I was SHORTCHANGED $57.80 not including tax. THE ABSOLUTE NERVE!! After saying this isn't what I wanted she gave me customer services #. They were useless as well and told me there was nothing they can do for me. OH REALLY??? I then called American Express (and so thankful I used their card to make this USELESS purchase) and it is now in the hands of American Express and Zara. BTW, Amex told me I was not the first person to raise this issue. Wow, Zara, some reputation you have. You might want to try and improve your reputation but as far as I'm concerned, there is nothing you can do to EVER change my mind. This relationship started and ended within 3 hours. This review is not for the location of ZARA. It is for the policy of ZARA. People never purchase jewelry, i.e., earrings and open the package on the sides and expect to return a perfectly pair of earrings attached in the same packaging with the bar code and price. You will unfortunately not be able to return the item. You MUST open the package where the almost invisible seal is at the bottom. This was my experience and in my opinion the policy is ridiculous. In my opinion this is one of the top Zara locations in the city. There are two fairly nice-sized floors and they maintain enough items in stock. I like that it's not typically crowded when I visit and that they have multiple cashiers to ring you up. I also like the fact that there is a doorman who greets people when they enter the store. Lastly, I love the fact that this location is so accessible by a number of subway trains. I have regularly received good service when I visit, even if I am just picking up a package. read more

I have been shopping at Zara for years and realized their customer service is getting worse. I received notification that my order was ready for pickup so I went to this store on my lunch break. The sales associate searched for about 10 minutes and told me she couldn't find my package. I asked to speak with a manager who then did the same thing. This basically means my package was either stolen or given to the wrong customer. I was then asked to reach out to customer service online so that they could issue a refund (but they still will have to reach out and confirm with the store that the package is "lost"). This is ridiculous because it's not my responsibility and also my money is basically stolen. I am disputing the charge with my bank, do not have packages shipped here!!! read more

This store is okay if you're extremely thin anorexic and have no curves the sizing of their clothes to me are not made for a real American woman and this is just my opinion I'm not judging anyone else the styles are fine I can usually find something very similar in H&M for half the price I haven't shop there and over a year because the prices are extremely high and the clothes are not made for curvy women you can never find anyone in the sales floor to help you and if you do they always tell you they don't have your size or your color and will not check in the back not worth the hassle for me maybe someone else this store is just not worth the hype honestly read more

Manager at this store needs to get their things in order. One week returns are downstairs in a line for returns and purchases, another week that same line is for ONLY returns, then another week returns are ONLY upstairs and you find yourself making lines for 20 minutes only to be redirected to a different part of the store. Please just figure it out already!!! read more

Had the most unpleasant retail experience of my life in the Fidi Zara store yesterday, "manager" Megan who at first refused to give me her name and refused to refund my damaged blouse bought the previous day, even though the customer support person on the phone told her she was able to give me a refund because it was quality issue. The blouse had a hole I only discovered when I was ironing it to wear to an important meeting that day. She made an exception and gave a person in front of me a refund, told me there was no one I could email and she would not help me. Clearly she decided I was not a customer she would help- I was dressed head to toe in Zara and do not make returns. I went back to the 5th Ave store where I bought the blouse they said it looked like security tag damage, looked for a replacement and gave me a refund immediately. Megan was as an appalling "Manager" if that is in fact her job, she eventually gave me her name and said she is usually in IT. Very, very poor, rude and disappointing customer service and I hope the real management can give her some effective training. I am a very good Zara customer, she did not care. We all deserve attention and good treatment unless they are rude when asking. I am stating my claim from yesterday, Thursday, January 25, 2024 at exactly 4:06 pm when the clerk at the second floor register on the back side "a young man with glasses" responded in a mocking manner to a simple question to answer. . It is embarrassing and in very bad taste to have to expose that in a company of such prestige they have rude employees with NO MINIMUM EDUCATION. I saw a lot of negative reviews for this Zara location - some related to the staff and others related to the always extremely long line for returns. None of this really bothered me (until today) because I usually just pop in at random times, never really looking for anything specific. In comparison to other Zara stores, I would say the clothing is pretty well organized and everything is easy to find. If I need a size that I don't see, I just check the app. I've never really relied on the staff here. Today, however, I got to experience some of what the other reviewers were talking about.... I walked in at about 5:15 and it was busy, but nothing out of the ordinary. I picked up a few items and went straight to the register downstairs. There are about 5 or 6 registers but only 2 had cashiers. Not an issue, I get that it's not busy season. When it was my turn to check out, the cashier was in such a hurry that he failed to take off one of the alarms on my items - so when I went to exit, the alarms went off obviously. I took the item back to the register and the cashier scanned it and said it was okay. I didn't see anything removed so I checked the items myself and found the alarm thingy and pointed it out to him. Instead of just removing it so we could carry on with our evenings, he continued helping the next customer. But why? So inefficient! Also, not sure why I had to tell him to remove said alarm thingy. Calvin "I'm the Manager" at this store is horrible and rude to customers. We were doing a return with a receipt from just a few days ago and he insisted we get store credit and refused to return our money back to the Chase Credit Card used. He spoke over my daughter and me, was super rude, and had an inflated ego... "I'm the manager and I said so" "I can have you thrown out of this store if you don't like it". We were in the right, not sure why he chose us to spare with, but we will definately visiting the Zara in SOHO from now on instead of this one a block down from where my daughter lives in the financial district. Came in Sunday, October 13 to exchange items (but they didn't have the coat i wanted). In the process of returning my items, cashier/staff gave me the worst customer service experience. 1) gave me a nasty attitude 2) instead of fixing the issue on her end or coming up with a solution, she chose to blame me/insisted I am wrong and I was lying 3) made me feel like a thief/villain/criminal 4) didn't apologize after finding out the root cause of the issue is on her end and that she jumped the gun by immediately assuming I was wrong.... Maybe she was prejudice against color of my skin or the way I look, but this branch needs to train their staff on emotional intelligence, cultural sensitivity and customer service. read more

This was my go-to location because it's conveniently the closest one to home, but after last night I'll sacrifice the extra travel time. I got there around 6 to do some quick shopping. Already knew what I needed, and once again - they NEVER bring up new arrivals. I circled the store up and down twice to find a top I wanted. The store wasn't busy at the time that I got there, the staff once again walks around avoiding eye contact with customers, and continues their conversations with other coworkers. I approached one of the employees who was folding some jeans - hey, I'm not in a rush but when you're done folding would you mind helping me find a top please, I have the item number. (phone in my hand on the shirt I'm looking for) Idiot takes a breath - "go to the fitting room, they can help you". I go to the fitting room which BTW - I worked in retail, I know you threw me to someone else cause you didn't want to be bothered, and it's not the fitting rooms responsibly to help customers find items. I let the girl know this guy sent me to her & she catches an attitude (I understood the attitude). What I didn't understand was her and another employee then started giving me dirty looks talking in Spanish. Guy on the floor comes to the fitting room, the chick asked him to help me - which he then started to piss and moan about it cause he's "soooooo busy". No you're not busy, you're just lazy. (You really need to laugh when everyone wants to cry about making minimum wage) So the guy takes my item number and said he'll be right up, that it's downstairs (obviously). Guess how long I waited for the top to be brought upstairs - 30 MINUTES. (I was on the phone the entire time I was waiting) 30 minutes while I watched the guy who took my item number coming upstairs hanging out and talking to his coworkers. I approached him and before I could say anything - "it's coming up". Finally some chick comes upstairs rolling her eyes handing me the top. (I'm so sorry that you had to WORK & do the job you get PAID to do) I was so turned off that I didn't bother trying anything on, just went straight to check out. (Only people nice are at the registers btw) I would've understood their attitudes, pettiness, laziness, if it was really busy and if I had some nasty attitude. The store was dead, and I've worked in retail and understand how annoying it can be. I always treat everyone with respect - shit, I even help fold the tables, the racks, put everything back on the hangers after I try things on, cause I even get annoyed lol. What the staff in this location need to understand is - there's absolutely no reason for the way you all act. If you can't work in retail, then quit.
