Literally the slowest place I've ever been to. Nobody decided to tell chastity that she works at a fast food place and she decides to do anything but bring an order that's been on her screen for nearly a half hour out. Asked multiple times how long and she and the other girl up front kept going 5 minutes while doing literally anything else. Most places fire you for that, I guess not zaxbys on Sam Rittenberg. This is my first time visiting Zaxbys. Because of this, we took a while at the cash register (no one was behind us don't worry) and the cashier was very patient and kind. I'm upset that I didn't get his name, however he had dreads to his middle back tied in a low ponytail. He was very understanding and considerate. Also, the inside of the restaurant was cool, as the walls were decorated with all kinds of signs and it was clean. The bathrooms weren't too dirty either. The food was pretty good too, in my opinion maybe even better than Raising Canes. The chicken fingers and fries here are way more seasoned than Canes' unseasoned limp chicken. I would definitely come back here when in need for a quick bite. read more

I don't know why I even give franchise restaurants the time a day. I ordered two large chicken finger plates, one was supposed to come with the coleslaw regular large plate, but the other was supposed to come substitute slaw for extra fries. I didn't get extra fried. I also requested extra seasoning on the plates and no extra seasoning was there. I ordered an extra six Zack sauces and only got two. As you can tell him I have attached photos we did not get the correct order. I managed 5 Zaxby's restaurants in Atlanta before moving to Charleston, get your crap together!! We also went through the drive-through and had to wait in the drive-through for 20 minutes for this as cars kept pulling around us leaving . And I don't quite understand why because you know everybody there is getting chicken fingers. I refuse to spend my money here again. My order was around $40 and was wrong and cold. The staff are not friendly, it's run by high school kids that give no f%#ks. I won't be back! Super awkward when we went to order and the girl working turns to ask if they can give us the chicken... so we left and will probably not be back. Stopped by the drive thru last Friday at 10:20pm because the store hours state they are open till 11. Someone inside asked us to go ahead with our order. I asked for boneless chicken wings and was told they were out of all wings. I then asked for a chicken sandwich and was told they were out of chicken sandwiches. Realizing the employees were just f***ing with us and had no intention of taking our order we decided to drive off. Whoever was pulling off from the drive thru window seemed equally as frustrated dealing with the staff by the speed in which they pulled off. I want to give a HUGE shout out to the drive thru employee today during the 1-2pm time frame. He was the most professional, courteous, genuine person I have encountered today! He looked me directly in the eye. Showed real caring when he asked how I was and THANKED me for visiting today! Most times we find a conversation going when arriving at the pickup window that we aren't part of and they don't stop to acknowledge. This was NOT one of those moments! Of course I like the Zaxby's Chicken Fingers & Buffalo Wings on Sam Rittenburg Boulevard in West Ashley. This is one of my favorite Zaxby's locations. They are well managed and efficient and their food preparation is consistently good. I have had a really good experience every time that I have been here and they have made everything right each time. This location is very convenient from just about everywhere in West Ashley. I like all of the different items that they have on the wall here and a few are unique and humorous. The staff here is very cool and works hard. I am impressed with this Zaxby's . read more

Please do not spend your money at this location! The managers and staff are unruly people. I understand that the food industry can be quite frustrating at times when dealing with customers but that doesn't mean you have to treat people unfairly because you're having a bad day or a prior customer or issue has you pissed off! You should still be able to handle situations or circumstances in a professional manner. Paying customers keep the business thriving and keep the employees with a steady paycheck. Companies don't invest in on the job training for no reason. It helps to build character and improve business development. This particular location will not be around long if they continue to keep unprofessional employees at the forefront. No one is held accountable for their actions and they keep doing it because they don't care. It's all about a paycheck. I was out running errands and before I knew it, the lunch hour has passed and I was starving. So I ducked into Zaxbys for a chicken Caesar salad. Normally I would have opted for the drive through, but I wasn't in a hurry and figured my review would hold more weight if I actually went inside. So, I did this for you, Yelp. I did it all for you. What a surprise. The interior decor was packed with posters, tin signs, random tchotchkes and framed art. Kind of like what you might expect at a bar and grill but minus the low lighting. The employees were attentive and quick to greet me. The dining area was clean. And my salad was served on a plate. What!? Plastic utensils but real (plastic) plate. I felt almost ... fancy. Almost. My salad hit the spot and for the price was great. Actually I got more chicken on this salad (at half the price) than I did last weekend at a sit down restaurant. Nicely done Zaxbys. The chicken was a bit salty but the lettuce was fresh and they didn't skimp on the tasty croutons. Which, by the way, had a nice crunch and flavor. How I wish I could have tried the wings. But today was not the day, as I was eating so close to dinner AND trying to count my calories. Oh, yes, their posted menu includes calorie info which is good and bad all at the same time, if you know what I mean. Its chicken fingers in various forms. As in processed chicken in many forms. The thing is Zaxs has good sauce and great sweet tea so you'll put up with the less than healthy meal. This Zaxbys is kind of tucked away which i don't mind, but as every other Zaxbys is, the parking situation is tight. Upon walking in, I immediately knew we would be getting some questionable service and I was right. The food was great my family and I all got the big zac snax or whatever it's called. We were going to get salads but glancing in the kitchen, we changed our minds. From what we could see, there was one person in the back and they didn't have a hairnet on even though they're hair wasn't pulled back at all. The counter and register area looked quite sticky looking. I wanted a crème root beer but it came out completely clear so I went for the Dr.Pepper. It was incredibly flat and tasted like carbonated water mostly but it was tolerable. We went to go sit down in a booth and something scurried under the table!! It was a little lizard-we named him Jefferey. We sat down at another booth which was the cleanest but we just wanted to eat a quick bite and head out. I have been to this Zaxby's multiple times and the drive thru staff has always been super nice. EXCEPT for today. Today, August 14th approximately 7:30 p.m., i pulled through to get my teenage daughter some dinner. Food was good as usual, BUT, Miss Thang at the drive thru was, as Bon Qui Qui would say, "ROO". No greeting, no thank you, no smile. EVER. I was nice but that did not work either. She was a big, tall, black girl. Zero personality and lacked courtesy and basic social skills. FYI to the manager. You need to REMOVE her from the drive through. The best and only place she should be is on KP OR BATHOOM DUTY. People like this can kill the reputation of your business. As a manager, it's kind of hard to believe you don't realize who you have working for you that is best equipped socially and respectfully to be dealing with paying customers. Open your eyes manager. Take note of your employees and see what you think. Hell. Have them mystery shopped. But hell would freeze over before I ever hired someone like this, let alone let them work a drive thru. And in case you wonder who I'm talking about, I just so happen to have a few photos and a video for your reference. I always favor this restaurant because usually they do a great job usually. But the last few times I have been my fries have not had ANY seasoning for one, and two you can see the attached picture of how many fries my meal came with. I asked for cheese added to my sandwich was charged for it and didn't receive it, so before leaving I asked for the cheese. When I arrived home I also noticed it had no tomato which actually comes with the sandwich. I expect to get more than 11 fries with my meal. I wish that was an exaggeration but I literally counted them and only had 11. Not to mention that I always recommend this specific location and when my parents went to get meals they said they don't offer combos. That and that they don't do Nibblers meals meaning my little sister got only one nibbler in her "meal". This is ridiculous and has ruined Zaxby's for me seeing as how this used to be the only one I could go to because the other one sucks. Completely ridiculous and severely disappointed. read more

That's not the worst part. The workers at this zaxbys are by far the worst. They always have the worst attitudes. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but after this time I give up. I'd never heard of a Zaxbys til I moved to SC, but I'm in love. I'm a chicken tender junkie. They're my go to when I can't make up my mind. The chicken here is pretty good! Our portions were much bigger than we expected (it's no easy feat to send my husband off full, but they did!) The fries were okay, the coleslaw was good, and the onion rings really hit the spot. My husband said the boneless wings were good and spicy. The sweet tea was great. Their service was quick, efficient, and friendly. Hate to give 5 stars to a "fast food" place but this place was outstanding and the experience was so good I just thought I don't think it could get better. My wife and I ordered a couple salads with chicken. I ordered blackened chicken and got buffalo. The server that was walking around the restaurant cleaning tables and just being nice grabbed it for me and walked it to the counter and got it fixed in no time. The person at the register was super helpful. The manager made sure to check on us. The chicken zalad was outstanding. It is a little more expensive than some of the other "fast food" joints but wow is it good. The bathrooms were very well kept along with everything at this operation. Their staff average age is over the norm. And I LIKE it a lot. Really impressed with this operation and will be back. read more

I feel like everyone has heard of Zaxby's, but I'll say that I love their Zalads, especially the Cob salad which has bacon, a boiled egg, fresh greens, and their signature Texas style toast. I'm being healthy so I didn't order the birthday cake milkshake that they have back right now. It's my favorite, but order it without the sprinkles because they're tough when frozen. What was new for me on this occasion was that I ordered my food online which was detailed down to the amount and type of dressing, received an email confirmation immediately, and walked right over to pick it up, only having to wait a few minutes. The staff at this location were pleasant and helpful. The location itself was very clean and the the food was up to the Zaxby's standard. I recommend Zaxby's for those looking for a quick, fresh salad with a good price. read more

If a could give them half a star I would. This Zaxby's is the reason why I won't give Zaxby's another penny. To start off they were rude and made me feel like I was an unwanted customer. After ordering I stood there for 15 minutes as people who ordered after me were getting served. Finally when the cashier looked at me and asked what was wrong with my order I said I haven't received it yet. Then she got angry and said she handed it to me. She then told her manager that I already got my food and that I was trying to scam them. So after making them look stupid by telling them to look at the cameras which they actually did. They still gave me the wrong food and different size drink that I ordered. I pointed that out but they were too stupid to fix and I left. They're just plain rude and uninviting. read more

He was on drive through and greeted me with a big smile when I pulled up to the window, and as he handed me the bag, told me everything that was inside. Asked if there was anything else he could help me with? Then told me to have a great day. All while keeping eye contact and a genuine smile on his face. Then when I came in to get his name, it seemed as if the whole crew started smiling when I asked for his name because he had done a great job. Like the team was there to support him. The worse example of leadership! Short staff in kitchen yet staff tripping over themselves in the front. A 40 minute wait NEVER acceptable.
