Sweetie had heard about this place and figured they were like Cane's, which we both like. There was one near our hotel and we needed something quick, so we tried it out. The food: the chicken fingers were good, but a little dry. The fries were okay, but I left most of mine. I got some fried cheese bits thinking they would be like cheese curds. Meh. I left most of those, too. Their original sauce is similar to Cane's but more, well, pickly? As if you mixed some tartar sauce in. The spicy mustard was better. They have about a dozen sauces, and that leads to my main issue (aside from just average food.) Things are too complicated here. The menu includes wings, fingers, salads, sandwiches, all those sauces, and more. Plus, it's not very well organized, so it's hard to find what you want. That confusion seemed to carry over to service: it was slow and disorganized. Friendly, yes, but no one seemed to be in charge or to know what to do. First time for me. I am just here for Teacher Appreciation Week. It was so Grand of Zaxby's to offer a free meal item each day of teacher appreciation week! I seldom take fast food seriously but the chicken tenders with Zaxby sauce surprised me. Although there was a very loud and large crowd of customers, the young cashier Kenny was so personable and patient with us. We were very impressed that a young man would deliver such excellent customer service. It's been months since I had or went to Zaxby's. I commend all the restaurants for their adaptability to the challenges with the pandemic. They only do drive throughs and takeout. You can order ahead, pull into a designated spot, and call a number to have your order brought to your car. I thought that was cool. I ordered my food via doordash pickup (rather than delivering) so I actually went inside to pick up my food per the directions for doordash orders. Everyone was nice and I didn't have to wait long for my order. But they were super busy. The line was wrapped around the building, they had quite a few orders waiting for other doordash and grub hub pickups, the phone was ringing off the hook... and my order was still good and correct. I even punctured one of my cups and the gentleman gave me another cup with no drama. This was an overall pleasant experience. read more

If I could give this place less stars and still write a review i would. We stopped at this Zaxbys on our way home as evacuees from Hurricane Irma. We were kicked out with our service dog because we did not have her documentation. A "regular" customer, who, as we were told, complains about everything, protested about our dog and our family of 4 adults and 4 children had to split in order to eat. This was a very unpleasant experience to have, especially after being hours on the road through Georgia's closed down exits. I really think that the Zaxbys Corporation should be careful how they treat all customers and not just cater to "dog hating" regulars, especially in a time like this. We are seriously discussing getting legal advice on this matter because our service dog disclosure was legally sufficient. read more

The quality of the food has gone down considerably. The location by the airport is terrible. The service is poor and no one is professional, even management. I went there one time because their drive thru was backed up and the cashier told me that I might as well go through the drive thru because that's where they are prioritizing for the next 45 minutes and he casually used profanity as he explained it. It doesn't matter if you order in advance on the app you will still have to wait 30 minutes for your food, then nobody tells you when your food is up you have to try to get someone's attention as they carry on with their conversations. I reached out to the company on a survey and got no response. I commented about one of my experiences online and they messaged me and asked for my information and said they would follow up. It's been a almost a month and I haven't heard from anyone. I'm done giving my money in exchange for mediocre food and crappy service, will not return to any location. read more

There is one person taking orders and two other girls standing there doing nothing. Terrible customer service. Asked a simple question about a picture by their drive through then they let me sit there. Tracy was the MOD. She came out the back door after several minutes of silence. When I asked her about the photo, she had no answer either. In fact, she looked surprised when she saw the pic! This was the first zaxbys I've tried. They aren't in the Midwest. Both times I've gotten salads. The first time I got the bleu w spicy chicken and this time I got the Cobb. I enjoy spice so next time I may get Cobb w spicy. Both times the veggies were fresh and the chicken was delicious. The Cobb had tomatoes cucumbers crispy onions cheese lettuce chicken egg and bacon. For a fast food style restaurant I think it is a little above the McDs, KFCs, etc. But, if you want Zax sauce (their one of a kind zippy sauce for fries and wings) you have to pay $.50 more per little square ---- that is a company no-no, in my book. Needing dinner near our hotel, a little late in the evening, we consulted Yelp and found Zaxby's. As we approached the counter we told the server that we had never been before. Right away the person next to us said we would become addicted to Zaxby's. Boy, was she correct. The server was very sweet. She took time to explain everything on the menu to us and answered all of our questions. Upon her recommendation I had the club sandwich, which comes "in a basket" with wonderful seasoned crinkle cut French fries.
