I decided to try a deal on the app. I received a free Big Zax Snak Meal for becoming a new app member. I decided to also order the Zensation Zalad on the side (but it was really an entree portion that I ordered). Everything was great, BUT they gave me ranch with my Zax Snak Meal when I had ordered Zax Sauce. When I was in the drive thru, I also noticed that they were sold out of egg rolls. I was then thinking in my mind, "Oh crap, I am probably not going to receive the REAL Zensation Zalad because the entree calls for an egg roll." I come to find, when I get home, that they gave me an egg roll! I cannot give a five because THEY DO NOT EVEN HAVE THEIR SIGNATURE ZAUCE..or is it sauce? I also found it odd that they have their signature sauce in a wrapped take out container, equivalent to ketchup packets); however, some of their sauces like their Buffalo Garlic Sauce they have to put it in a to go plastic container. Why not have the Zax Sauce onsite and have these garlic buffalo sauces offered in wrapped take out container like ketchup packets? And what is up with this Asian thing? You know, they have chicken wings and chicken tenders and super sized chicken salads. I wouldn't eat this over Popeyes, nor KFC nor Raising Canes. I'm not from here so I gave them a try, not all that. I wouldn't come back on my own free will but if someone was buying, I guess you had me and Free99 but I'd pressure them to go somewhere else. Boneless wings were, not better than the stuff you get at Walmart and they were pretty light on the sauce as well. Chicken tenders seems pretty dark, maybe they needed to swap that grease out. After asking for an explanation, they just told us we could leave without the food and without a refund. Apparently, there was "nothing they could do once the food was already made". Although I love Zaxby's, this place is the worst experience I've ever had. My family of 5 made a relatively large order but nothing too crazy. One meal for each of us. After 20 minutes of waiting, we asked about our order and turns out they mixed up the order with a different order. Mind you, the restaurant was not busy. It was past lunch rush hour. They then started our order from scratch and we waited an additional 20 minutes. We asked for some type of refund or discount after waiting so long and the lady was very dismissive and had an attitude. A nice stop for a chicken sandwich. The service was quick and the food was hot and prepared well. Got a chicken tender sandwich and a nibbler. I have an unhealthy obsession with Zaxby's. Since we do not have them in NJ (yet), I make it a point to have a Zaxby's snack plate whenever I am in NC (which is the furthest south my region goes). Well, today, I was on my way to the airport in Lexington, KY and what do my weary eyes see, but a Zaxby's sign. I pulled in and they did not disappoint. Crinkle-cut fries are always a plus in my book, and these were perfectly golden and had a good seasoning salt on them. They also have very good sandwiches and salads as well. My favorite sandwich is the Cajun Club. Blackened chicken, bacon, Ranch, green leaf lettuce, tomato and American cheese on a toasted bun. Yum. Salad wise, I would go with the Blue, Mixed greens, red cabbage, carrots, roma tomatoes, blue cheese crumbles, fried onions, and choice of buffalo or blackened chicken, with Texas toast. read more

I've only had the fries and chicken salad which are usually very good. Every time I leave frustrated at the attitude of the employees. The last and final time I went, the guy at the drive thru smarted off and once I got to my destination and realized that he didn't put a fork in the bag, I called the manager and explained. I had never been to a Zaxby's before now. I was told it was a Poor Man's Canes. This kind of was the case, but not. The Zaxby's sauce isn't anything like the awsome Cane Sauce. The Chicken finger, Toast, and fries are about the same. Please note the Poor Man's Canes isn't an offensive term. It was merely used to say that the food at Zax is cheaper than the food at Canes. The food was good and hot. Very tasty, but it was no Cane's. It wasn't a bad experience at all for my first attempt to eat here. The service was great. I was getting 1 order for dining in and 1 to go. He refused to sell me the to go order at the same time of my order. He said customer satisfaction is job 1 for him and he suggested to come back after I ate my order to get my to go order. He wanted the person receiving the to go order to have the best customer experience as possible with the hot and yummy food. I have to give him props for that. I was kind of impressed. I normally don't put fast food restaurants on here but I went through the drive-through and the girls working the drive-through would not even speak.. Then once I received my $10 chicken sandwich and fries I literally counted my french fries and there was only 10 fries in the meal . Also they forgot to give me my drink and I guess that was my fault because I forgot to ask Before I drove off. The food is usually pretty good at Zaxby's. The sauce and the fries are awesome. On this occasion I ordered a salad, without chicken, and light dressing. I went through the drive through. I know every restaurant has a bad day, but my drink order and my food order was both wrong.
