I contacted zaxbys and the store manager, Hose, called me (not exaggerating) MINUTES later with the phone number I had entered for contact. He told me to come in the next day whenever I was free to pick up some free food, and I told him I'd be there at 12:45. Had a horrible day at school & ended up not getting there until 1:00 but Hose made that grilled chicken sandwhich for me in minutes. See, I've been coming to this store for a while, ordering the same thing online; anxiety problems make ordering online an amazing alternative as if I'm in a particularly anxious mood I can just grab it and go without having to interact. I been to other Zaxby's and this is unfortunately a poor representation of this chain. Normally, I enjoy a salad with the friend chicken on top. This location not only had wilted lettuce, that I asked them to replace, but also the chicken was over fried, not burnt, but tasted like it had with been fried again, or somehow heated up! The place was dirty: tables and chairs had not been wiped down, granted it was late during lunch hour ( around 2pm) but even then I would think there would have cleaned up? I stopped in last Wednesday for lunch, which was a free Nibbler because of my recent birthday. The parking lot, just past noon, was absolutely packed. The drive up line extended completely around the building - to the exit line for those who had just received their order. While trying to decide what to do because, I didn't want to block the drive up customers who were leaving, I saw a customer enter a parked car. When he pulled out, I parked, and went inside to order. They were also slammed, but I did get my order placed fairly promptly, considering how many people were there. The customer in line behind me reminded me that the nearest Chik-Fil-A and the nearest Wend's were both closed for remodeling. I always appreciate the extra seasoning on the fries. The mid-pandemic operating hours were initially a concern, but even though it was very busy, the staff was on top of it. LOCATION: behind the McDonald's and old blockbuster (now a gold store) FOOD: food here is decent. no matter what you order, there will be some sort of greasiness or oil on there. the breads all have butter on it, just as heavily as the texas toast (soooo bad for you, yet so good). the cajun chicken club, nibblers, and the wings & things are my go-to meals. the chicken isn't dry, but it's oily..even when it's grilled. the wings are decent as well. sometimes they are crispy and other times, they're not. the wings are also inconsistent when it comes to size. PACKAGING: they use a black styrofoam box for their food, but why is it that every time I am handed my food..there's ALWAYS nasty, oily fingerprints all over the box?! to think a black box could hide those greasy fingerprints and handprints...GROSS. I always have to wash my hands after I handle and open the box...just to avoid some sort of food poisoning. blech~ SERVICE: not the friendliest. I just can't get over all these rude people who work at fast food restaurants. I am throughly disappointed in the customer service received after I called the restaurant. So, co-worker so kindly went to Zaxby's for me and I asked for a House Salad with blackened chicken. Drive thru attendant repeated the order and when the co-worker got to the window he paid and told me he said he didn't need the receipt because of course he thought it was correct. By all of our surprise, there was NO CHICKEN on the salad. So I called and spoke with the manager and explained everything. Come to find out they don't have blackened chicken anymore but shouldn't have the person taking the order said that so I could have said grilled is fine. Instead, I got charged the full price for a house salad with NO CHICKEN. The manager that answered put me on hold, then another person got on the phone by Hozey Thomas who stated he was the General Manager. He proceeds to tell me to bring the salad back and the receipt. Sir, I'm working and needed to eat so I'm not bringing the salad back plus WHT would I do that so y'all can do something nasty to the salad and give it back to me. And I explained that my coworker didn't get the receipt. Like who the hell would go to all this trouble to call back if it wasn't legitimately a real issue, I got a salad with NO CHICKEN and that's what your restaurant services. I mean really what happen to the customer is always right, see this is why I love Chick-fil-A because a manager and definitely not the general manager would have argued with the customer. At no time did either of those individuals say "my apologies, we are sorry to hear that, let me figure something out". Zaxby's y'all need to do better. read more

I don't understand all the low ratings; I found the service to be fast and friendly, and the food quality was exactly what I expected for this chain. The bathroom was clean. So I went through the drive through of this location the other day. It was after normal lunch time so I figured it would be super fast. There was one car in front of me and they ordered their food and then I pulled up to the little box where you order. I sat and waited. Sat and waited for a little more. I said, "hello?" No answer. At this point I should have just left. But as an avid Yelp reviewer I figured this would make for a fun review to write. I looked at my watch and started to time how long I sat there until someone acknowledged my existence. Also I was just really hungry so I continued to wait. 3 minutes later a voice spoke to me. It wasn't god lol it was the zaxby's ' person. Surprising, I know. So I ordered and went on to the window. I can't complain about the food but there wasn't a sorry about the wait or anything. It was just so strange. I'm not going to lie, I've complained about other zaxby's locations in the past for this same thing. There was ONE person in front of me who by the way, didn't order food. This location has been hanging around and doing a good job of business despite the awkwardness of getting in and out of the location due to the odd location on the corner of Lower Roswell and Johnson Ferry - I mean, it is on the corner without actually being on the corner. So even if you get in, it's tough to get back out and go back the direction you came from. That being said, it is a solid location. If you have read my reviews, you know I am not a fast food frequent flyer. But when I do hit a joint, I do want the food to be prepared well, hot and fresh and not slop on a plate. This Zax does this well and my order is always right - no going back for corrections. I will say their lettuce for the salads has been sub-par the last 2 visits (wilted, some black pieces), but nothing I can't fish out and throw away and still have plenty to eat - this is mostly annoyance and just shouldn't happen. It is general laziness. Their iced tea is always fresh and tasty. I am usually a drive thru visitor at this location, and their service is decent through the window. I usually get a smile and a thank you and please come again-type of sentiment. I explained I was not gonna drive 15 minutes for back since I had an appt. so the manager offered me a coupon for a free meal and I let them know the date and time range when I would be back to be able to use it. So two days later I go back through the drive-through explained the situation. when I'm given the total they're trying to charge me for three meals instead of two. Explained again about the coupon that we left at the drive-through they did remove one of the meals from my order but did not apologize and rude. Meh. It's just fried chicken tenders. Every time we go it's pretty good, and the crinkle fries might remind you of your childhood a little so it's ok I guess. Good sweet tea I suppose. They use the little crushed ice pellets that are the shape of peliated catfish farming feed. They keep your coke or sweet tea real cold ya'll. My wife loves the chicken. It's her fav, and she doesn't know that I know she sneaks over there for a snack attack at least once a week. So 4 stars from her and 2 stars from me equals average 3 stars for Zaxby's. read more

Salads came with the wrong dressing and when I asked her to replace them she tried to give me dipping sauce instead of dressing. Then when I finally received my food it was overdone, as if the tenders were old and just dropped in the grease again to make them hot. This is one of those times when a zero star rating is really the only option although not allowed by Yelp. After a long day of everyone having activities, we realized that we hadn't made plans for dinner. We decided that the best alternative was for me to stop by Zaxby's on my way home. So, everyone texted their orders to me. It was a relatively large order with several meals and side items. I went through the drive-thru and received the order in a relatively quick amount of time - for Zaxby's. The order came in two bags - one paper bag that included a couple of side items and a larger plastic bag that had the majority of the order shoved into the bag. I did a quick check of the order in the parking lot before driving off and everything seemed to be there. However, when I got home I quickly realized that one of the side items had not been included. One of the smaller containers that I assumed contained a side actually just included some sauce containers. I left what I had of the order with the family so that they could eat and promptly returned to Zaxby's. When I return to Zaxby's, I went up to the register and had to stand and wait for a few minutes even though it was not all that busy. In fact, a couple of people were clearly in cleanup mode for when the store was going to close in an hour. When Maricela - who appeared to be the manager - finally realized I was standing at the register and came over, I told her that unfortunately when I got home I realized that part of my order was missing. She immediately responded that she saw the side item in the bag. I told her that I was sorry but the side item was not in with all of the other food when I got home. Maricela looked at me with this strange smirk on her face and waited an uncomfortable amount of time before responding again that she saw the item in the bag. At this point, I realize that Maricela believes that I am a liar. I tell her that I would not drive home and then drive back to the store just to get a free side item that cost less than five dollars. With the same strange smirk on her face and after another awkward silence, she says she will give me another side item. She then went to the counter told the cook to prepare another side item and made gestures and comments to the cook making it clear that the item had been put in my order originally. After waiting several minutes for the side item to be prepared, I noticed that there was a side item box sitting in the drive-thru preparation area on top of the bins where they keep all of the silverware, napkins, and sauces that they put into the bags while prepping the orders. I imagine that was my side item and Maricela had forgot to put into my bag. When the replacement side item was ready, another employee bagged it and brought it over to me. Maricela had turned her back to me and refused to acknowledge me after our initial interaction. I am not sure what kind of training Zaxby's is giving their managers and their employees, but I find it hard to believe that they are training their managers to treat customers with such rudeness and disrespect. No doubt I will not be frequenting this Zaxby's anytime soon, and I am not sure that I will be eating at any Zaxby's in the near future. read more

I drove thru and got a Tomato Lettuce and Chicken combo, and of course a couple miles down the road when I went to eat it the tomatoes were about the size of quarters, and one was from the very bottom of the tomato. Nothing like the sandwich you see on their TV ad. The lettuce was almost non existant, just a few shredded strips, then when I went to eat the fries, which is usually the highlight of the meal, they were just lukewarm, and had NO seasoning!!! What a disappointment! Had I not been so far away and hungry, I would have gone back and demanded a refund. it's simple. I've been eating at Zaxby's for almost 15 years. The chicken fingers keep getting smaller, the wings keep getting smaller, and the quality is mediocre at best. I didn't realize how mediocre till I visited a place in Nashville, McDougal's Chicken Fingers. Fingers were plump, juicy, big, sauces were great, sides were great, and best of all, I asked for an extra sauce, they just gave me one! Wow! Not charge me 25 cents! And their service was impecable. I keep trying to give this place chances because it is right across the street from me and every time they mess up my order. The customer service is sub par as if nobody cares. The fries I get are soft like they have been sitting around for a long time. The chicken tastes dry and chewy. Don't bother ordering the Boneless chicken wing - it's indescribably yucky. They will make you wait forever, and it's not that good. I had to wait 30 minutes in the drive thru. By the time they brought the food to my car (where I was waiting without a drink or anything while watching everyone else get served) it was cold and nasty. The sauce had congealed around the fried batter. The sauce itself was way too sweet. And while they call it a "meal" they don't even serve bread with it. All this for $6+after taxes. Definitely not worth it. When I returned the meal and asked for my money back, they didn't even apologize. They should be ashamed of themselves. I called to complain and a different store got the complaint. The manager of that store was very apologetic and seemed genuinely concerned, even though it wasn't his store.
