I love Zaxaby's. This is my alternative to Chick-Fil-A. Each time I come, I always get the Large chicken tender plate with no bread and extra fries. I love the Zaxby sauce when eating both the chicken tenders and fries. These are the crinkle fries that are seasoned, which I absolutely love. The chicken tenders have light/medium soft breading, which is between avg - above avg on the taste. Nothing spectacular. The flavor of these tenders are avg without the Zaxby sauce. I haven't tried anything else on the menu as of yet, but I will. If you're looking for extraordinary svc like chick-fil-a you may not find it. Its no different than a Mcdonalds or Wendy's. Second day open but flowing well all things considered. Hot crispy chicken fingers with creamy tangy Zax sauce. They have interesting milkshake flavors to choose from like Birthday cake, Banana pudding, or Chocolate cookie. I wish they didn't have. We ordered twice from this location. The first time, the chicken wings were undercooked. I told my husband to call. He decided to give them another shot since it was their opening week. Blah blah blah. I haven't heard of any recent food poisoning incidents connected with them so I allowed him to talk me into a second try. Nope. Nope. Nope. Two orders too many. On the second order, they didn't include the fries, the drinks, or the sauces we ordered. ALL the chicken was overcooked this time so I'm guessing someone else complained and they were over-compensating. The fries were too heavily seasoned and mushy. The salad was nothing to write home about and bordering on inedible. The worst part of the ordeal was having to make a second trip to pick up everything they forgot only to be met with indifference by the employees. Since it is a good distance from home, today was my first time at the Melbourne location. It was busy and service was a little slow but food is as good as I remembered. The first time, the situation was totally unexpected but it was taken care of appropriately. Another customer took my order by mistake and nobody noticed until I went back to the counter once I heard an order number way above mine. Food here is pretty good. Clean restaurant, clean restrooms which always stands out to me. I always get the 4 fingerz plate. Food is always super super hot and fresh. However, I had to give 3 stars because the food is occasionally VERY salty. The fries, chicken, and especially the bread. Sometimes it's covered in so much salt I can't even eat it. I usually never visit a place again if the customer service is so horrible, but their food makes me want to see if the manager takes feedback like this and does anything with it. The state of Florida experienced a hurricane yesterday and this restaurant opened last night to customers. It was very packed because not a lot of people were open and everybody wanted to eat. people without food, people without electricity and people who had both but just didn't want to cook after slaving over their homes for the last two days. So we were happy they were open, BUT, it was a complete S-show from the beginning. A drive through that was wrapped around and nobody could get in or out from the parking lot. They didn't have any extra staff outside like Chick Fila does to help cars and the level of annoyance between the hungry people trying to get in the drive thru line was only met with equal hostility for people who had been trapped in their dining room for hours and now just want to go home after having the worst dining room experience of their lives. So the dining room, . . we knew it was packed and there were no tables, and that's fine because we knew it would be some sort of beyond average wait to get tables and by the time our food came we were likely to have a table. When I placed the order for our large group, I asked the lady taking the order about how long the wait would be. In our party we had 3 small children so it matters to know. We got there at 720, and the lady said 20 minutes. My experience in dining services is that I was looking at more like 30 or 40 so I asked "are you sure?' and she gave me a condescending look and said YES, we are working really hard back here. Then I felt bad. I never asked that to imply that they weren't working hard, and I was extremely grateful that they were even open. But then that was it. 20 minutes, 40 minutes, 60 minutes, an hour and 15 minutes later, still we have no food. Ridiculous, the kids were all melting and we were extremely hangry. And look. I'm OKAY with waiting an hour or an hour of a half or even 3 hours but then JUST TELL ME THAT UP FRONT, especially when I asked you TWICE. It's the part that I asked and was blown off and then it is four 4 times the quoted wait time you had said (20 minutes went to , we ordered at 720 and got our food at 845! it was dine in but she made us come to the counter and pick up our food. And the girl who originally told me 20 minutes, was the one who handed me my food. I told her that in the future she shouldn't tell customers 20 minutes when it's going to be almost two hours, and she just looked at me like she didn't care. The dining room can only be described as a bigger S show than the counter service. All the drinks in the flavored drink choices were out. the photos show all the drinks that were out. I get that you are busy, but when we asked them to help us, they said they don't have anyone to do that right now. They have all the cartridges there but no person to do it. Apparently there are only a few people working who know how to do that and they are all busy making food. No lids. When another table's customer asked for lids, she was given five (she only needed one, so not sure if that was just a secret message to say hey throw the other four up there so the next 4 people don't ask us). People accidentally spilled their drink and nobody would help them. The lady asked for a towel or a mop and they were too busy to even do that and I watched her clean her own table miserably. Even my children were trying to help. Another person was telling your staff that someone dropped a cup of sauce on the floor and the lid opened. It sat there for 35 minutes. When someone actually came out they came out with a broom (not a mop) and proceeded to try to 'clean it' with a broom. All he accomplished was he spread it bigger than it originally was. I told him that made it worse and he needed a mop and then he left. I assumed to get a mop but he never returned, EVER. It was still there when we left and someone with a full tray of food almost slipped in it. No one from Zaxbys ever answers their customer service feedback form on their company website, so I'm putting it here. They wont answer it here either but at least customers will know. If you think this store is going to ever be busy, DON'T GO. Their staff is horrible and the only time to go is when they first open when they are happy and helpful. It goes south quickly when it's busy. The manager should be fired or be trained in how to train people who work in the store. It's the worst Zaxbys I've ever been to but sadly the only one in this town. read more

We desperately need new places to eat in this area and therefore I was looking forward to Zaxby's opening (after watching it being built for months). Nice atmosphere for a fast food joint. The menus was strange...chicken fingers. Great for finicky kids I guess. I ate in and had the Caesar Zalad. It was a generous size which came in a melamine bowl (hard plastic). It had 2 chicken fingers cut up with bacon crumbles, Parmesan cheese, croutons , fresh lettuce and two packets of dressing. Caloric intake is labeled on the menu as 675 for the salad plus 180 for the dressing. It was filling and tasted like a Caesar salad (not enough dressing to cover entire salad). But the price is what will keep me from eating here much. For a Zalad and a cup of water from the fountain, it cost me $8.72. If I'm going to spend almost $10 for lunch, it's not going to be fast food chicken fingers!! read more

This was my first (and last) visit to Zaxby's today. The place, including the parking, was crowded, the line for the drive-thru was very long, therefore we (my wife, our toddler, and I) assumed that this restaurant was good for being so popular. Honestly, I don't understand why. The menu is very confusing, it's expensive ($35 for a kid meal, a salad, and 10 chicken fingers), and it is extremely salty! Everything, even the salad, was too salty. Once you order, you have to wait there, standing, for about 15 minutes to get your tray/food. Then, I had to go back 3 times to the counter to complaint about the order that was not accurate: first, they didn't give me any sauce for the chicken finger, 2nd trip back to the counter to complaint that there was not dressing on the salad (nor on the side), 3rd because there was no napkins whatsoever. There were more mistakes (I ordered spicy Buffalo wings, they got me Ranch nuggets) but after 3 trips to the counter, that was enough, my opinion of this place was forged. Although it is expensive, the food is not good, feels cheap and not fresh at all. The decor is nice, the building looks nice and modern, but everything else is very cheap: the cups for the drinks are very cheap, once again, no napkins no where, cheap sauce already packed up like at McDonald's (which is cheaper and better!), a piece of square bread on top of the chicken (not good!), too much seasoning on everything. This place (or any other Zaxby's) will never get my business ever again. So my mom just called me almost in tears about her dining experience here yesterday. After receiving her food, she stated that she we unable to enjoy her meal because a guy by the name of Joey(she believes he was the manager) started to open and close a large knife over and over again. They asked him if he could stop because it was making them uncomfortable, and his reply was to ask if it "bothered" them. Though I'm sure it might make anyone uncomfortable to have someone you don't displaying a knife while you are eating in an establishment, it was extremely unnerving for my mother for reasons that aren't really relevant here. With that being said, she then told me that as they were leaving Joey bid two 60 y/o WOMEN a farewell by saying,"You GIRLS have a good day." I really hope that this isn't the way that Zaxby's is doing business in my hometown. Because if it is...that would really suck. She has been so excited about this new opening(talked about it for a month) but wasn't able to even to eat her meal so we can't review the food. Went through the drive through at a non-busy time, 11:25am, before the lunch rush. The service could have been better. I ordered 5 drinks, only received 4. Four of the drinks were the same size but different kinds, with no labeling to distinguish between them. After watching it be built for months, I finally brought my family here for dinner tonight. I haven't eaten at a Zaxby's in years, and it is always nice to go somewhere new. My first impression walking in was not a good one. For a brand new restaurant, the place was really dirty. There was trash all over the floor and tables. It looked as if the place hadn't been swept all day. Normally I would walk out of a place like this but we decided to stay. We ordered our meal and got a fair amount of food for the price we paid. It cost me $25 to feed my family of 4, and I couldn't possiably eat another bite. The food was as good as I remember it being, and the staff was super friendly. The soda machine was out of ice, and the tables were a little dirty with grease from previous guests. All in all it was a good experience. A little more attention to the cleaning I the lobby, and this would have been a 5 star review. read more
