I was once a loyal customer. I realize that prices are increasing everywhere and this alone would not have demanded this rating, but...the chicken fingers were quite small. The fries had a taste, chewiness, and temperature that told me that they were cooked and held in a warmer to be ordered at a later time. The bread was mashed, probably by someone's fingers. I am going to try to attach two photos. One before I started and one what I choose to not eat. It's a lot harder to get a new customer than it is to keep a loyal customer. read more

Their chicken fingers are getting so small they look like chicken baby toes. Won't do that again.

This location is disgusting. They reheat the fried chicken after letting it sit on a plate warmer for who knows how long. The cooks have also never heard of salt before on fries and I think they dump the oil unto to fries becuase you can squeeze out like a sponge some of the oil on the fries. They can't even provide water becuase it's out of order. These workers should be out of a job, they're lucky employers are desperate for workers right now. Drive thru employees when it's around 830-9pm will purposefully ignore you until it's closing time. If not that then they will play extremely loud noises through the intercom until you leave. I understand coming right before closing around 935-940 and so on is super annoying but an hour and a half early?? They have children working at night and it's absolutely ridiculous that management continues to let this happen. read more

They get my order wrong or it's ice cold every time I order door dash. That's not even an exaggeration. I can't use grub hub bc it's not available in this area. It's not door dash's fault... I've even called the restaurant after placing the order through doordash to ensure it's seen to correctly.. nope not even that will work. Twice I have been there, twice they have messed up my order completely. Asked for an extra bread basket at the drive thru, got home and was charged but not bread basket. Asked for ranch sauce for my strips, no ranch. Asked for mild tongue torch sauce, they put the hottest sauce they have on them on the last visit. Last time eating at this establishment. I have always loved zaxbys. It has some awesome food that doesn't feel like fast food. The kicking chicken sandwich meal is definitely my favorite meal there and one of the cheapest. I just wish they didn't charge for ranch. I've never had a problem with customer service unless you show up 5 minutes before they close but I completely get that. Waited 15 minutes for a Cobb salad with grilled chicken. When we got home and opened it we found the chicken was still raw. How can you knowingly put raw chicken on a salad and sell it to someone?!!!!!! There's no way they didn't see it was raw, it's literally still slimy. Their communication between the front and back is horrible. After ordering and paying for the meal that specifically came with Cole slaw, I didn't receive the Cole slaw with my order. I brought my food back up and said I did not receive the Cole slaw. They said they didn't have any left. I asked why they didn't say anything than before I had paid for it. They said "oh we did not know they were out in the back" I asked for a refund of item I did not receive and the manager told me it was only $1.60 and it basically wasn't worth refunding me. I told them to forget it than. I really don't need $1.60 anyway it was just the fact that they did not solve the problem or seem to care. Also, both ice machines were out of ice and instead of refilling it, they gave me ice from the back and gave me like 5 ice cubes. Definitely will not come back to this location. read more

This is the only Zaxby's I've been to and their food hasn't impressed me during the couple times I've been here. First time I ate here their fries were very overseasoned. The second time they were OK, but the salad (zalad) was just boring. There was nothing "wrong" with the food or service, it just doesn't stand up to other chicken places I've been to. read more

I get really tired of coming here and being disappointed each time. Have you ever been to a restaurant where the food was great and you can't wait to go back? However, each time you go the food never measures up again. Great place to get some chicken. The boneless wings feel like they come from a bag but the tender's look like they breaded them there fresh. The regular wings are not big like at Buffalo Wild Wings but they do have several flavors of sauce to choose from. They do have the best soft drink machine around. You can get punch, cherry, peach, etc. flavor's added to sprite or Fanta Zero. Lots of combinations available. Very polite staff and a great family atmosphere. read more

Never once greeted, young man at the counter just stared at us awkwardly once he finally came to the POS. After we placed our order we had to wait for the manager who was in the restroom to come override something, after all the inconveniences I asked for extra sauce and the boy tries to charge me but one girl said don't worry about it and handed it to me so that's why I'm leaving a 2 star not to mention the Caesar salad was full of water. read more

I love Zaxby's but my last visit was a bit ridiculous. I got a salad and asked for a side order of regular fries. The guy asked me if I wanted anything to drink which I did and that was a large water. I was told that I would get charged but most places around Sanford charge a reasonable amount for something I can get at home. Well after paying $2.25 for a large water. Stopped by for lunch today with the wife for the first time ever. I always hear they have great chicken. This location is brand new. We walked in and immediately see half the dinning area is still under construction and closed off by a large sheet of plastic. It was very crowded inside and there was not enough seating for the number of customers. Several folks behind us walked out due to this reason. We ordered our food because my wife snagged the last two seat table left. She ordered the chicken wings and I ordered chicken fingers. I also saw they had fried pickles so I added that to my order. The food was ready pretty quickly. We started eating and both commented that we thought it would be better considering what we had heard. It was ok. Nothing special at all. We ate and left. My wife started having stomach issues within 10 minutes of leaving. She is still not feeling well. My stomach started to hurt after we got home (20 minutes after we left Zaxby's). Unfortunately, we cannot eat dinner tonight due to how we both feel. Our first Zaxby's experience will most likely be our last. Chick-fil-a is right next door to this location and has much better food. Disappointed! read more

My family and I had a very disappointing visit to this location. While the food was typical "fast food", it took nearly 20 minutes to receive our food. Apparently, they had run out of one component of our order, but did not feel it necessary to inform us of our foreseeable wait. When we questioned the staff about our tardy meals, we recieved a half-hearted apology and were forced to wait several minutes more to actually get the food to our table. During our 20 minutes of waiting, we were able to draw several conclusions about this location. 1) Dining in is a poor idea, as we were not the only customers who had a endure long wait times for their "fast food." 2) this location was not properly prepared for customer satisfaction. The drink machine had to be attended to during our visit, which took forever so we had to opt for tea. 3) There was ZERO manager presence here. After voicing our complaints to the staff, there was no "table touch" done. There was no one to ask if we enjoyed our experience and there was no one to even approach with our dissatisfaction. While we completed their survey to make sure that someone knows of their issues, there was no comment box available to vocalize the specifics of our experience. My advice... unless you've got 20 extra minutes to devote to waiting for chicken fingers, go somewhere else. read more
