As soon as we walked in, the employees made a face and before we ordered they asked if we were dining in or takeout. We said dining in but as soon as I said that, the cashier gave a side eye to her coworker that was cleaning the tables. After that I decided to rather get it to go because they clearly didn't want us there. I would understand if we walked in closer to closing time but it had just turned 8 pm and they close at 10 pm so I'm very confused on why they're giving us attitude. I also work customer service so I would understand if we came inside last minute but we didn't. And with the faces and side eyes, they could've at least waited until we walked away and not do it right in front of our faces. Once I received my food I noticed they were missing our sauces and when I got home and took a look at my food, I saw that me and my cousin got an insanely small amount of fries. I have never received food like this at any other Zaxbys location until this one. i've been a real fan of Zaxby's chicken since they opened in Smyrna however, lately the last two meals there the chicken strips were to salty to eat. Paid for Zax sauce and they forgot to add it to my bag. I went back through the drive thru again to ask them for the Zax sauce and the employee accused me of lying. She said she definitely put the sauce in my bag. I explained that it wasn't it the bag and offered to let her look in the bag and she would not make eye contact with me and another employee handed me a Zax sauce and and did not apologize for this entire interaction. #29/2022 Zo it was before covid the last time I'd been to a Zaxby's. I was thinking about Panda Express while I was at my terminal here but I thought you know what I'm going to go to Zaxby's it's been quite a few years it shouldn't have been but oh well. So I said to myself why ze heck not. I was able to get my tractor in to ze parking lot parked out of the way meandered on in first thing I saw that welcomed me was a freestyle Coke machine what does that mean? If you read my reviews by now you should know that means old man Kevin gets his diet Seagram's ginger ale LOL! I peruse the menu board and I remember a few years back I'd have the zalads but I decided I wanted something else today so I opted to go with the Cajun club meal. consists of a grilled blackened chicken breast, with ranch dressing, bacon, tomato, lettuce on a toasted split potato bun. I also wanted some fingers AKA chicken strips they call them fingers kind of like Raising Cain's does. So I also added a Zax snack meal Mac only consisting of three fingers. I have to to get some extra ranch sauce for the sandwich. Two sauces I had to get of course was the original Zaz sauce and I thought about the buffalo but I didn't like the name torch they probably would burn my insides so I opted for what they call the wimpy sauce because I'm a wimp:-( They gave me my drink cup and then went over the freestyle machine and got myself set up with a Seagram's diet ginger ale of course Food came out nice and quick they called my name first I didn't know who they were calling because they called Calvi LMAO!! NOT THE FIRST TIME IT'S HAPPENED SOMETIMES IT'S DEVIN BUT SOMETIMES IT'S KEN. It's all good. Finally pointed and said are you talking to me she's like yeah you're Calvin aren't you I said no I'm Kevin but that's close enough. The dining room was very clean they do a nice job of keeping it up however they do close it early at 8:30 p.m. you have to be in or else they tell you go around in the Drive-Thru. So I opened up the chicken fingers they look great like they always did no problem there I open up the sandwich and it looked really good too I took a little bite off for a nibble to see how spicy was his cage and black and chicken it wasn't real spicy it had a nice little taste to it I enjoyed it very much. It also came with Fry's I opted for no seasoning on the crinkles. All in all I was very pleased I think I'll come down here a little more often when I'm at the yard I was very satisfied when I walked out to the truck. I had to stop at Zaxby's since they are no longer local to me. Raising Caine's won the chicken finger fight in my hometown. The buffalo sauce, Tongue Torch, was flavorful and not numb your mouth hot. The crinkle fries are thicker than most with a hint of seasoned salt. The chicken fingers were on the smallish side. The Texas Toast was buttery and crispy. Overall, pretty good for fast food and had all the pros and cons like I remembered. read more

I normally like going to any Zaxby's but today's experience was not good. The traffic in the parking lot was stopped because two patrons were talking to a gentleman in his car who was stopped in the middle of the lane and nobody could get around him. Once we finally parked and went inside the place was loud and dirty. But I like the Zaxby's menu and I was hungry so we started and ordered. Street ordering and getting our cups I went to fill them and the drink machine was not working right. It couldn't make ice and everything was mixed wrong. I tried the different drinks and they all seemed off. Then after sitting down all these orders that came in after mine were being filled. We were order 11 and it went all the way to 17 before ours was called and I could go get it. The food was good, which is why I still give this the stars. On a good day when their service is better and the drink machine works they're probably a four-star establishment, but without changes in how they clean the dining area and bathroom I think it would be hard to earn a fifth star. We were there 20 minutes and I think I saw an attendant come out once to clean tables and the floor was left messy the entire time we were there. read more

I went through the drive thru for dinner late on a Sunday night...I was able to pull straight up to the place to order, the lady said she was ready to take my order, then after I told her what I wanted, she asked me to repeat it all. I waited about 15 min for my food and the lady at the window didn't know what I ordered either. This is THE SPOT when it comes to a good chicken tender. They make some rad toast.The Zax Sauce is pretty much crack too. No idea what's in it, but it's mighty delicious. Since the opening of the location in Antioch, I don't venture to this one much anymore. However, I recently got a Groupon for $5 for two Meal Dealz with drinks so I went on Sunday. AMAZING deal. Well worth the drive too. The service here and food is always great. It's clean and fast too. A+ in my book as far as fast food goes. Quick service but like every other Zaxby's I've ever been to they can't follow directions. Zaxby's sandwiches tend to be incredibly dry and I ALWAYS ask for extra sauce. I don't even care if I have to pay extra if he means not choking on a sandwich that's as dry as the Sahara. Yet, even when my order is repeated back to me, I never seem to get extra. Zaxby's in Smyrna Tn has the worst customer service of any Zaxby's I've ever been to. 2.13.2018 I went through the Smyrna Tn Zaxby's and ordered a Big Zax Snack, a Cobb Salad and The Blue salad. I asked for no onion straws on The Blue. I made sure to emphasis no onion straws. I asked the lady taking my order to make sure she noted no onion straws on my salad. The previous week I ordered this salad and when I got home noticed they forgot to put my dressing in the bag so I reiterated my dressing as well. When I got to the window I told the cashier about the missing salad dressing last week and how inconvenient it is when Drive thru orders are packaged wrong. Guess what??? When I got home, pulled off my clothes, put on my pjs and sat down to eat....I noticed onion straws on my salad. I was livid! Unlike the week before I called to complain. I called the number on my receipt and asked to speak to the manager. Angelica came to the phone. I explained to her what happened. She was apologetic and asked if I wanted to comeback to have my order replaced. I was not leaving the house again that night. I had been at work 2 counties over and didn't have the strength to go back out. Angelica said she would take my name and order so that I could have my order replaced at my convenience. I told her it is very disappointing when your order is incorrect at the Drive thru. It costs the consumer more money and more time when fast food orders are packaged incorrectly. If I was atCheddars and my order was wrong all I would need to do was tell the waiter or waitress and they would correct it without causing me undue time, money and energy. 2.22.18 I stopped at Zaxby's on my way home. I placed my order and while I was waiting remembered, they owe me a replacement salad. When I got to the window I asked the cashier for Angelica. She was not in. Ordered The House w/ fried and honed mustard dressing to go. when she handed me my order, I said "honey mustard right?" she said "yes". I got back to work and had to eat a dry salad no dressing of no kind. The sign on the wall warns you that the place is addictive. I totally agree. I've been known to go once a week. They are constantly experimenting with new ideas, such as fried pickle chips, chicken parmesan sandwich, birthday cake shake, among others. You've got to go try the new stuff when you hear about it otherwise it will be gone by the time you "get around to it." The old standbys for me and the wife are the kickin' chicken sandwich, the potato chips (which are not quite fried all the way through.. best that way) and buffalo fingers in nuclear. The marinara that comes with the cheddar bites is extremely good. I really miss the chicken parmesan sandwich and the fried pickle chips. One weekend either late last year or early this year they ran a promotion where you were given a green receipt and if you came back with it the following month, you got the same meal absolutely free. I have been to Zaxby's several times and had hoped it would improve. Today the girl at the drive thru sounded like she was asleep. I ordered the Zesty Fried Mushrooms, because they're always good. But, this is the perplexing part, for a place specializing in chicken, why is it never good. Today I ordered bone in wings with original sauce and the skin was not crisp, the wings were fatty and I threw them in the garbage after 3-4 wings. I won't be back after this trip. I'm definitely a fan of Zaxby's and have been since college. I love buffalo wings, and buffalo wings love me. However, at this Zaxby's, the last couple of times we've been, the chicken tenders have been a little dry. And I wish Zaxby's would offer grilled chicken tenders as well as fried ones like the local chain McDougal's. Still, this is my go-to place when I want a quick buffalo wing fix. Sometimes I'm in the mood for fast chicken and I'm not really feeling Chick-fil-A, this is when Zaxbys comes into play. I usually never have any issues with this location. The employees here are mostly high school and sometimes they aren't the friendliest. The chicken and fries can get a little spongy if you get them to go, I think it's the humidity from the steam so it's best to eat before too long.
