There are a lot of fried chicken places everywhere, and go to any of those, not Zaxbys. Zaxbys tastes like a sad chemically knock-off version of caines. Fingers are all kinds of different sizes, some very long. Others short. All skinny. All oily. None appetizing. The sauce tastes like a very unfresh batch of caines sauce plus a mega load of preservatives. Fries. You're looking at 2 orders. That's not a lot of fries. Some were super oily and soft, some undercooked, none nice and cripsy on the outside with a soft inside. Toast was sad and oily. For fast food. I expect it to be edible, fast, and affordable. I didn't even come close to finishing this because I was working through each bite like a toddler eating boiled unseasoned spinach. So, while technically, it was edible, it was pretty close to not being edible. Fast, they had the order out timely. Affordable for the price of zaxbys, I could have eaten happy hour sushi, good fried chicken 2-3 times, panera, etc. They are so expensive for what you get. Seriously, pick anywhere else, and you've got better odds of enjoying the food. Truly, you couldn't pay me to eat here again. I'll go to one of the 20 other fried chicken places in a 10-mile radius and actually enjoy my meal. We are sad. We just spent $67 on three surf and turf, and two orders of curds, and one order of fried pickles. We had to wait a bit for the shrimp, which was fine, but it was clear they boxed up everything else first which got ridiculously cold while they waited for the shrimp. Chicken was chewy and overcooked. Shrimp was way overcooked. We had asked for lemon pepper seasoning on two of the meals and none had any seasoning, at all. Service was not bad- they were friendly and they brought the food out once the shrimp was done, but it all just tasted terrible. My dog enjoyed most of mine but he also eats out of the litter box if we don't catch him. read more

How have i never tried Zaxby's?! This is such a nice change of chicken other than chick fil a. Love their texas toast so thick and fresh! Their chicken has the perfect amount of breading on it and doesn't seem overly greasy. Great flavor and love their honey mustard! The worst Zaxbys I have ever had in my life. I sent my husband to get me a 10 piece with fries and toast. The wings were absolutely soggy...no a bit of crunch to them. My fries were soggy asf. The only thing good was the toast. The manager was absolutely rude and didn't want to issue refund due to no receipt that the drive thru worker didn't provide. She didn't even offer to remake my food and act as if she couldn't pull my receipt from the drive thru. Watching four employees walk behind the dumpster gate to smoke weed and smelling it on my way out is the cherry on top of my order 99% of the time being wrong once the evening crew comes in. Of course, I have nothing against getting high, but I just wonder sometimes why placing my order in the drive-thru requires me to repeat my order six times before the employee can both understand and input the order into the system to be made. And no, not a one-time thing. A frequent customer of the spicy chicken, this is a reoccurring theme that never fails to ruin my mood which should be the complete opposite of eating Zaxby's. I highly recommend either different management to oversee operations (in the afternoon/evenings), or at the very least just recommend that your employees wait to toke it up once they get home. read more

I went there Saturday around 8 p.m. My Cajun club meal had only 7 French fries, my chicken wasn't blackened, there was no bacon, and no ranch. And my chicken was RAW on the inside. My nibbler bun was harder than a rock. I called to speak to the manager she said her name was Cassandra. She told me to get over it. I'm pregnant, raw chicken can kill my child. Wtf is wrong with you? And I used to be a manager for zaxbys, so this is just mind blowing this is what the standard has come to. Cobb Salad from Zaxby's is so good! It is a HUGE salad for the price! It was suppose to come with bacon, but I couldn't find it anywhere on the salad. It won't stop me from coming back to get this yummy salad. The lettuce they use for the salad is excellent without a lot of gross piece thrown in. I love the Cobb salad, however the service is very slow and not that friendly or concerned that you were there, maybe they were having a bad morning, it was 11:30am. When you think of fast food, you don't think of waiting 20 minutes for your fast food. All though my Cobb salad with fried chicken pieces, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, cheddar cheese, sliced hard boiled egg, bacon pieces, onion crisps and Texas toast was very good (OK, worth the wait). They are trying to save a nickel by not including the complementary sauce and end up loosing $26. The Assistant Manager is incredibly rude to customer. she will become irate and belittle you if you advocate for yourself. She has a hard time being accountable for her actions. She only apologizes when prompted by the General Manager; she plaster on a plastic smile and delivers a vey discreet, backhanded one. The food is good; but, the service sucks. The manager of this location is 100% commited to CUSTOMER service. Ok, so here's my story. I placed my order through GrubHub at 8:45. I get a call from the manager at Zaxbys at 9:15 saying that my order has been ready for a while and that GrubHub still hasn't assigned a delivery driver. I call GrubHub and they assure me that someone will be there shortly. I remind them that the restaurant closes in 45 minutes. Call the manager back, he says he'll wait a bit to remake my food so I can for sure get fresh food. THE GRUBHUB DRIVER NEVER SHOWED! At 10pm the manager calls me again, apologizing profusely, saying that the restaurant was closing and that they tried to call the delivery driver but they never answered. This manager did absolutely everything in his power to make sure that I got my meal as fresh as possible and as soon as possible. My meal would have been perfect if I had not used GrubHub. We come here more often than I care to admit, but it works for us. We get lunch or dinner from here 1-2 times per month and we also pick up food from here for babysitters. My favorite is the fried chicken salad - the chicken in delicious, the greens are always crisp and fresh, and all the toppings are always good. They always get my order right and the staff is friendly. The baby eats my cheese, some chicken, some veggies. K likes the strips and fries, and sometimes we just get one order of that and split - it's plenty. I kind of wish it was a little bit less good, and maybe I'd look right past it as I do with almost all the other fast food and chain restaurants nearby. In the nearly four years we've lived over here, we've made it a point to avoid chains and fast food, and we've mostly succeeded. But Zaxby's and the super close cousin Slim Chicken's somehow avoids being lumped in with the rest. So, good job to them, and bad job to my willpower, meal-planning, cooking ahead and all that stuff I thought I would do once I became a grown up. Went thru the drive thru to order something quick and sat there 25 minutes. Once you get in line there is no outlet to leave so I was stuck. Guess they had to go kill some chickens to fill the orders for all of us in line. This is my Second time to go there and definitely last due to such slow service!! Waking in, the restaurant was very clean, and the employees immediately greeted us. The menu is pretty simple, very similar to other chicken strip places. The prices were a little lower than I expected, especially since the portions are more than what I'm used to. The chicken was extraordinarily juicy, but the fries were a little limp. Presently surprised with this place. Been twice and had the Cajun chicken sandwich meal and the 4 chicken finger meal. Both were excellent! The Cajun chicken sandwich is my favorite so far. I love Zaxby's!! They're one of my favorite fast food places - their chicken is delicious - 5 stars!! The week before last I stopped in for a late lunch and, as usual, the food was great and, on most occasions, I am greeted when I walk in the door and have received exceptionally friendly and courteous service. But, I could tell from her (name withheld) attitude when I approached the counter that this young lady couldn't have cared less if I was there. She was pre-occupied with something, but managed to barely blurt out just enough words to take my order. My bill came to $13.22, so I gave her $20.22. Of course, this threw her a curve ball because the machine (register) assumed I would tender a $20 bill and was telling her to give me $6.78 change. She couldn't make the correct change from what I had given her, went silent and looked down and I could tell that she was doing the math on her phone. Eventually she gave me the correct change. I got my drink and ketchup and set up my table and then went back to the counter to pick up my food. She handed me the tray and I said, "thank you" (no response from her) and went back to my table to enjoy my meal, which was very good. There was only one other person in the restaurant, so she came out from behind the counter with a broom and dustpan and started sweeping the dining room. I swear if she had moved any more slowly, she would've take root. What really bothered me today, and does with so many other restaurants, is that so many of these employees don't seem to have the words "please," "thank you," and "you're welcome" in their vocabularies and this young lady certainly didn't and had a bad attitude, to boot. I don't blame her, I blame her parents, gubb'ment schools and customer service training, or lack thereof. I doubt the latter is the case as again, I usually receive great service here. So, for her benefit, here's how our exchange should've transpired: Employee: Welcome to Zaxby's, sir, may I take your order please? Diner: Yes, I'd like a Cobb Zalad, regular fries and medium drink, please. Employee: All right, thank you, that will be $13.22, please. Diner: I hand her the money. Employee: Your change is $7 (hands me the change). Thank you for coming in today, your order number is 27 and we'll have that right up for you, sir. Diner: Okay, thank you very much. Employee: Calls my order number and I go to pick up the tray. Diner: Thank you, ma'am. Employee: You're welcome, sir, enjoy your meal and let us know if we can get anything else for you. While sweeping the dining room, she could've also asked if I was enjoying my meal. I know this all sounds like some old f*rt yearning for the good ol' days, but I've worked in retail and institutional food service in most positions and I know a lot of diners out there share my sentiments. To the restaurant owners and managers, come on, help these kids out, be more than just a trainer; be a mentor and give them the benefits of all your skills and knowledge, at least to the point that they will accept your assistance and yes, I know that can be a real stretch these days. I don't know what was going on in this young lady's life - she could've been having a bad day - I understand because we've all had them, but when serving the public, attitude is everything, so you need to check your problems at the door because not all people are as understanding as I and just know that in the food service industry, a little bit of courtesy and manners goes a long way from getting a 10% tip to a 30% tip. In a pinch I needed to grab a yummy lunch to celebrate my son graduating a year early from high school! (Proud mom squeal) I was worried they would be busy since it was lunch time so I called my order in. The lady took my order and was very friendly. I arrived there in 10 minutes just like I said I would and only waited 5 minutes for my food. The restaurant was very clean and the staff was very friendly. The environment has a great feel to it, it just feels happy! My family and I will definitely be going there to dine in. Oh and the bathroom was very clean, which is huge because with my experience if the bathroom is dirty the kitchen is dirty. Loved my experience here and the food was great!
