After posting my previous 1-star review, I was contacted by Zeb's owner Amy who asked if I could share more with her about my experience so she could work to remediate the issues. I spoke directly with her and it is incredibly clear how much she truly cares about each guest having a great experience. She was receptive to my feedback and genuinely apologetic. While there were some extenuating circumstances that likely contributed to our bad experience (such as it being the first day with a new computer system), she did not make excuses but instead focused on what she could do to address the issues. This level of management involvement is so critical to success in a small business but also so very rare in today's world. The time she took to fully understand what happened has absolutely changed my mind about giving Zeb's another chance. We will now definitely go back - because of Amy. read more

We've been going to Zeb's since they opened. They usually have great lunch specials. On Monday's they have a burger special. Full bar available for those who like a cocktail or a beer with their meal. Definitely not skimpy on servings. They have a lot of booths and a few tables. When you walk in the doors, to the right is the bar and to the left is the dining area. They have an outdoor dining area available in the summer. Some of the servers are more personable than others and some are more attentive than others also. Their chili is very tasty -- not overly spicy where it burns your mouth, but just enough to make the top of your head tingle. Zeb's has the best burgers we've had in town - juicy, grilled, and delicious! We went today for their Monday special - a Zeb burger (tomato, lettuce) is $5 and specialty burgers are $7. Hat tip to fellow yelp elite Kay H. for the inspiration! We got the Zeb's burger and the smoked gouda burger (with yummy carmelized onions). The bun integrity was very good - it stayed together until the very last bite, and wasn't so thick as to be intrusive. It was not overdone (although one of our medium rare burgers was half well-done, half medium rare - what? How does this happen?). I give the burgers 5 stars. I was surprised by the upcharge for a slice of onion. There are no pickles. We purposely went at an off hour (1:45) for lunch, so we could avoid crowds. However, the waitress we had, while pleasant, gave such inattentive service that it dropped our review down to 3 stars. She filled our drinks once, even though they were empty almost the whole time. She came back and checked on our table *after* we finished dining. What if we had had a problem? And, it took a long time to even take our order (let alone bring it to the table), even with only a few tables filled. I cannot imagine how long of a wait it must be during peak dining hours. The onion rings (an additional $1.25) were large - three came, to replace the fries. They were tasty but greasy - I would not get them again. read more

Tried Zebs for first time and it was wonderful. I had cod and my wife had chicken wrap both were yummy and the mushroom beer battered are great appetizer. Service was excellent. I guess the only comment would be that the cod should have come with rice instead of small salad read more

How come I have never heard of this place but it's better late than never, eh? We went for their Monday Specials with friends to catch up and hang out. It's a great environment as well. We love their burgers and fries. I was afraid that we would have a bad experience since they were busy. On the contrary, they delivered a great juicy thick burger! Nom Nom Nom I thought their bread would be greasy, but surprisingly, it came out perfect. We would love to go back and try the other varieties of their burger family. I learned that eating the best burger would be not altering but just go with the flow! PS: I love their mason water jars and it's the perfect size for water. We came here because we had come before and received good food. However, tonight I'm said to say it was not very good. We ordered half and order of onion rings which were very greasy. We each ordered the 10 ounce sirloin steak. My husband ordered his with the mashed potatoes. We got our salads and each of us had rotten, slimy lettuce in our bowls. So we get our dinners. Mine was medium well. No flavor at all! It was hard to cut. My mother got hers well done. Again no flavor. My husband got his medium well, came out well with NO flavor. We had to get a bottle of A-1 Steaksauce to try and make it have some flavor. My husband's mashed potatoes were cold and again, no seasoning and no flavor. Our waitress asked us how dinner was because there was still meat left on our plates. We said not good and the waitress said nothing. No apology, nothing. She asked if we wanted dessert and our bill. I came here with my friends. It was Monday so they have very good burgers offers for Mondays and Thursdays. I ordered the gouda cheese burger. I requested medium well beef. It takes long to get your orders done and it takes longer to be seated. Maybe because of the offer. The burger was very good portion. Well cooked and tasty. I ordered fries as side dish. First time trying this place and I was so excited based off of the many good reviews. The hostess came over to the wait stand to seat us and had a clear attitude for seemingly no reason. The tables available were able to accommodate larger parties, she looked and said, "just 2?" I said, "Yes" and she said, "Ugh, okay" and proceeded to seat us. My boyfriend and I thought that was odd, but we brushed it off. The waitstaff was very friendly! The food was terrible, honestly. We got the bbq chicken fitters as an appetizer, which turned out to be fried and then grilled chicken strips. The hostess was doubling as a food runner and when I asked for extra bbq sauce in the most condescending voice she said, "Umm you want more bbq sauce?" Perhaps she was flustered, but I saw/heard her present that same attitude to several other patrons. For dinner I ordered the pecan chicken and it was inedible. I think that Zeb's is in an odd location (Texas Corners), unless you live nearby then you are probably really glad that it is here. The double Bloody Mary for $2 was spicy and had a nice flavor and the price was right. Their other alcohol selections are interesting too (e.g., pear cider). I had a turkey sandwich with jalapeños with a side salad with jalapeño ranch dressing and it was very good. My husband had the Teriyaki wrap and sweet potato fries. He said that the fries were great but the wrap was only okay. Total bill for our group of 5 for Sunday lunch including 4 alcoholic drinks was $80. read more

If you closed your eyes and someone led you in the door, sat you down at a table and then you opened your eyes; you would swear that you are "up north" in a back woods restaurant. The walls were built to look like a log cabin and the decor reminds you of a slower time, which is really relaxing to me. They have quite the variety of craft beers on tap so for a guy like me, I am in my glory with all of them. To go along with the great beer is a plate of nachos ($12.99) that is enough to feed two grown men, with a side of salsa and sour cream. They have a pretty full menu and specials each night of the week but the real secret here is that if you come between 2pm and 5pm, they offer some absolutely killer deals on select appetizers and half...yes indeedy... half off beer pints. Then, after your day is done and the kids are in bed, you can sneak back there for another half off pint from 930pm-1100pm. Wow! If you want to eat solid American food like a "local", this is your place. We stopped in after a recommendation and we were not disappointed. We were craving a burger and luckily stopped in on a Monday, their burger special day. We came in ravenous and left stuffed. Half-pound Zeb burgers (lettuce and tomato with fries) are $5, and half-pound specialty burgers with fries are $7 (typically $11). I got the the Texas and it was amazing! Cheddar, lettuce, tomato, bacon, sautéed mush and onion served on a big, soft, floppy bun! All ingredients were fresh and the bacon was good -there was enough that you could actually taste it on the burger and it wasn't the pre-cooked thin style a lot of joints use. The fries are lightly seasoned steak-style. We both ate for $13.14 -what a steal for delicious food! For nearly 15 years I have been coming to Zebs and have never been disappointed. The service is good, the food is good, and the prices are good. I love the Pecan Chicken with mashed sweet potatoes. It's my go-to item whenever I stop in. A few weeks ago D ordered one of their specials - sausage lasagna. It was a huge serving and he couldn't finish it all. He raved about it the entire time we were there. I had the leftovers the following day and I do have to say it was delicious. It is busy on Fridays & Saturdays. They have live music on Saturdays also, which makes the bar area a little tight and a little loud. Also their happy hour specials can't be beat. read more

This was a surprisingly pleasant find. The restaurant is really comprised of 2 parts - a very large horseshoe shaped bar and the main dining area. The bar reminds me of some of the central PA hometown bars that my grandad would occasionally take me to when I was a kid to watch a few innings of a Pirate game, when I had a ginger ale and he had a Jim Beam highball, arriving back home just a tad late for dinner, but not so late that my grandmother would be too too mad at us. But I digress...I was with a group so we didn't sit at the bar, instead opting for the dining room. I had a Tumbleweed salad (steak, onion straws, southwest ranch dressing) which was really good. One of my colleagues gave me a piece of her fried perch from a portion too big for her to comfortably finish, which I thought was delicious. The wine list is limited, but they have some great local brews on tap. The dessert menu looked really good, but i didn't want to go into a food coma so I passed. So Zebs is one of my favorite local hangouts. The food is always delicious and their specials are usually quite delicious along with being reasonably priced. The best feature of Zebs has to be their fabulous happy hour specials. During both afternoon and late night they have half off drinks and the afternoon happy hour has discounted appetizers. I am so torn between 3-4 stars on this one. The food always tastes great. Sweet pepper crab soup, potato skins, onion rings, huge rangoons, perch, and brisket are all amazing. Although, service can make or break a restaurant. I feel as though they are not as attentive as they used to be unless you're more of a regular depending on who is serving you. Also, the amount of time it takes to get your food when they are not as busy is longer than expected. I'm hoping to give them a higher rating in the future because the food deserves it. read more
