This company used to be the contracted company for my condo complex. They were terrible. They messed up multiple slab leaks, were not proficient in repiping the buildings, and were extremely sloppy in their work. They used an excess of epoxy when doing some underground building work without bothering to wipe it away and now a few years later, it has dislodged and I am dealing with clogged pipes and a clogged shower cartridge due to their haste. My HOA is refusing to pay for it, so I am out over $2,000 at their negligence. Be careful. read more

Another 5 stars for the visit today. They came down for a leak detection and found out that it was the irrigation that was leaking. Since Zech plumbing doesn't do irrigation leaks, they recommended couple of other companies who specialize in irrigation leaks. We had a very sad experience with the company. The technician that was sent to us started fixing the water heater and explained that he will need to buy some extra parts the next day. We haven't received the call from the company and when I called back the customer support, the person said that the technician person is not working anymore and we will not be able to come anymore, maybe find someone else. After experiencing the latest slab leak in our home, we decided to re-pipe in October 2022. We gathered multiple bids including Zech Plumbing to make the most informed decision. From the original estimate that John did for us, we felt very confident that they would do a great job for us at a very reasonable price. I must say that it is an intense project to do while you are in the home. The daily crew of 3, Pedro, Paul and Marty, arrived on time each day and worked diligently to complete their work efficiently always making sure at the end of each day we had water access and a functioning shower! They completed the job with minimal drywall cutouts and did a great job with drywall patching and texturing. We had a painter come in afterwards to do the last phase of the job. Our second floor shower was leaking through the wall in the first floor. Zech plumber Sean investigated and determined that the 25 year old vertical cast iron pipe had split right up its side. He did minimal drywall cuts, removed the pipe, and replaced it with a new pipe. He replaced the drywall, but left us to get a drywall and mud repair later, which we have scheduled this Friday. read more

Zech plumbing has saved us multiple times over the past 10 years in two homes. In our first home we had a leak from our kitchen sink into the garage. After one plumber made a hole in the drywall and after 5 minutes said we needed to have an entire wall opened up to see what the issue was. Then another plumber tell us we needed to jackhammer up our driveway to look for the leak. Zech plumbing came out, scoped the pipe, found the source of the leak which was in a flower bed therefore no jackhammering and overall permanent fix for a very reasonable fee. Most recently we had a leak from our upstairs shower into our kitchen. One plumber said it was the shower pan without doing any real tests. We got three quotes for removing roots from a sewer pipe. John responded quickly, knew what he was talking about and had local knowledge of how the pipes ran. His guys came the next day and dug up the front yard, repaired the pipe and replaced everything very efficiently. They were recommend by a realtor, I would certainly recommend them myself. Their price was a whole order of magnitude less expensive than the other two companies. Horrible experience. Scheduled tech to come out for noise in wall we thought was a leak because it stopped when we turned off outside hose lever shutoff. Alex opened nearby sprinkler valves & determined it was just a valve not completely turned off, making the noise. 3 minutes, no repair $135! He seemed embarrassed, he knew it wasn't right charging that, saying it's the owners call. I called office to ask for a concession, something reasonable. The office gal was rude and deflecting, saying she has nothing to do with pricing. I mentioned that when scheduling no one ever mentioned $135. She said & I quote, "I do NOT offer the information unless asked". Incredible. Horrible customer service. In November Zech Plumbing installed a new garbage disposal in my charcoal grey granite kitchen sink. Within a few days noticed a crack all the way through, top to bottom. When the sink is wet, you can't see a crack but after being gone for Thanksgiving and the sink dried out, I say a 3 inch crack coming out from the center where the disposal is located. I called Zech who sent the original installer out a couple of weeks later. He emphatically denied that he could not have possibly cracked the sink. I told him I was not satisfied with his denial and wanted to hear from his boss or company owner. It has now been TWO MONTHS and the boss apparently refuses to call me as I've yet to receive a call. I was able to have a stone company epoxy the crack from inside the sink and under the sink but the granite color had to be refinished to not show the crack. I feel that the owner is not responsive to my concerns, I have now paid almost $400.00 out of my pocket and have not had a call back. They can't prove they didn't do it. I have had this sink 12 years with no crack and a few days after the disposal was installed, the sink is cracked. I think it is not a coincedence. I liked the technician very much and I know "accidents happen" but the owner's total lack of empathy, taking responsibility and refusing to call me back is unacceptable and a terrible way to conduct business. I would expect that it would be worth it for Zech Plumbing to pay for the sink repair and call it a day. I'm not mad it happened but expect Zech Plumbing to take responsibility. You may want to seriously consider if you want to do business with this company. If something were to go wrong, you may find your complaints fall on deaf ears and you are stuck paying for something they deny happened. read more

Zech came over and cleared everything, only to stop up again this month September 2018 -- in 6-1/2 months' time.. Leo from Zech was smugly rude and said they guarantee their work for only ONE month!!! and do not consider the problem as their problem. Wow!!! Also had running water issue with one toilet. Zech said it was too old to fix and replaced it with a new one. Problem, the enamel of this toilet is so shoddy it does not flush everything out because the enamel is insufficient for a smooth, clean flush. read more

I'm selling my house and the buyers request for repairs included fixing slow sink water flow, adding an air gap in the kitchen and replacing corrugated flexible fittings in the sink drain assembly. Zech inspected the dishwasher installation (which was done as part of a brand new kitchen remodel by Home Depot 4 years ago) and said the air gap was built into new dishwashers and no air gap was needed.
