When he arrived, he abruptly dropped the offer to $1,000 -- less than half -- and the shift from "helpful and respectful" to pressure tactics was obvious. I would NEVER buy a vehicle with these people! My girlfriend has been dealing with Montana and one of his coworkers. Montana would constantly text her to nag her, and when she was finally ready to buy something all they did was yank her around. They told her about a vehicle she would be interested in, but it wasn't there, but they PROMISED it would be there Monday. She set an appointment with them, drove all the way there from Battle Creek, just to be told that the vehicle was in CHICAGO!!! They told her that it would be back on Wednesday, so she set an appointment, then texted them that she was on her way and he said ok. She made it almost there, and he texted her that the vehicle was already SOLD!!! What a complete waste of time, and so unprofessional. Received a recall notice for a 21 Lincoln. Called and booked an appointment, indicating that I needed a loaner car if it was going to take more than a few hours. Recall states 4 hours to multiple days. I live 40 miles from the dealership. The appointment was scheduled. A week later, I received a call indicating that since we didn't buy the car at their dealership, a loaner was not available. The car has 28,000 miles on it! I could understand if it were something I caused, but it's a recall. Booked at a local Ford Dealership and problem solved. Audi and BMW never treated us this way. Repair department is the worst. Over a week and half late on a one week repair because "the parts are not in". After repair the parts were not available for my inspection upon request per Michigan Law (Act 300 of 1974 SS 257.1333). When I came to pick up my car after the repairs were complete, the instrument cluster had no lights and the speedometer did not work. And the top line care that they promise is bogus, my car was never washed or cleaned in any way. It was, in fact, left parked under a tree that shed and dropped sap all over it. took my car to Zeigler Lincoln service to get an oil change on Friday afternoon. I left the car there after signing the "contract" that said the estimate would be $70 for oil change, inspection, and tire rotation. They told me it would be done within an hour, I gave them TWO phone numbers for us, and we left for errands. Husband dropped me back off almost 2 hours later, and when I went to get my car, I waited about 15 minutes for paperwork to get there. Service man brought paperwork to cashier and told me I needed new tires and the tire estimate was on the paperwork ($1100 for Firestone or Goodyear or something, $1200 for Michelin). Fine, I'll take it to Discount Tire because I love them! I handed my credit card to the cashier, and she said my total was $150+change! I told her he had told me $70 when I came in. She looked at the paperwork and shrugged and charged my card. Everyone seemed in a hurry, and I was too, so I figured they found something that needed filling (brake power steering or some other fluid). When I got home, we were looking over paperwork, and I saw that they didn't do a tire rotation, and change oil was ALL they did. We couldn't see anything that showed why it was over 2x what they told me. Also, it wasn't the same paperwork because the tire estimate wasn't written on it. MY BAD for paying that, but we went in today to see where the charges came from. We had been charged twice for the oil change, and because I had already paid, there was NOTHING they could do about it. Come back in six months and get a free oil change. It's not free Dude! I already paid for it. They should have simply given my money back, and I wouldn't have had to tell everyone what a SCAMMING pit they are running. We'll be calling the manager Monday to get our measly $80 bucks back, but I won't be going for service there ever again! read more

Last week I ran out of gas on Stadium, the guys in the service department did all they could to help me out (so thankful!). So today I came back for an oil change, and I have never had a more pleasant oil-changing experience! The guys went above and beyond. They even washed my jeep. Based on customer service alone, I'd absolutely recommend the service department. I was expecting the price to be on the higher end, but the price for the oil change and inspection was great! My two terrible experiences at Ziegler Ford. Last week, dropped off my new diesel truck on Friday for an oil change, detail and to have a small issues looked at by service. Came back on Wednesday to pick it up and only 1 of 3 things was done. Told Tom he failed at his job, he was supposed to get all this handled. ( I had tried calling and texting several times before pickup to make sure everything was done and done well, but they don't communicate well here at all.) Said it wasn't his job to make sure everything got done. Got the manager Bryan who at least agreed they had dropped the ball. Ironically, they had a bill ready for me for the detail, but 4.5 business days to get some very simple work done and they didn't. Checked the oil before I left and it was low and black as when I dropped it off. They said that's normal for a diesel. Not my first truck, have 500K miles experience with the 6.7 motor since I drive for a living. I bet them if they did another oil change in front of me and the color didn't change, I'd pay for it. Well, it did change and I was right again. I also asked about greasing my chassis and was told there weren't any places to grease. OK, there are many. 5 min later someone started greasing my chassis. These people were nice enough for the most part, but lack training and leadership and seem to be looking for short cuts at every turn. My first experience was a simple tire rotation. Told them I was in a real hurry, didn't need to try to squeeze it in if it would mess up their schedule. They said no problem. 45 minutes later I'm told they're almost done. 1.5 hours later I finally check in with them and they never even started because they couldn't find my lug nut key!!! Are you kidding me?? This place is a terrible joke. Avoid at all costs. read more

Horrible service! I will drive all the way to Grand Rapids or Battle Creek before I go to this service center. They have no clue how to take care of vehicles, their techs are slobs and they tried charging me over 900.00 to out new brakes and rotators on my Lincoln when they could have been rotated. I took it to the Lincoln dealership in GR and I paid $213.00 as opposed to the 900.00 that Zeigler was going to charge. The service manager is great but needs to find better techs and teach them instead of taking care of their dirty work to cover his butt. read more

I was so close to purchasing a car at the Ziegler Dodge building, got right down to getting pre approved from our bank on a loan, but was told we still had to speak with the financial guy, business manager I think is his title. So my husband goes in to speak with Allen. Remember that name because unless you want to be treated like you're a dumbass you'll want to stay clear of him. He wanted my husband to get a loan through him. My husband told him he was all set with his bank. Allen proceeded to ask my husband if he had bad credit. Not sure where that comes in since we're already pre approved. Then Allen says to my husband, how long are you keeping the car ( none of his business). And then finally, Allen says And since you don't care about money, he basically told my husband do what you want. Well Allen that was what we were trying to do before you had to go and speak down to us. Allen was more concerned about his goals rather than ours. I had a bad feeling all night, on top of that their service department reviews on Yelp are horrible. The only nice thing I can say is they gave me my $100 deposit back. I was happy about that. My sales guy Rob Yoder was patient and professional with me and I appreciate that. Sorry Rob you lost a sale because of Allen. If that dealership allows Allen to speak to customers that way. I don't have faith that the service department will be any better. Now If you started a drinking game on whenever I said Allen's name you should be feeling no pain right now. P. S. Dishonest. I took my car with 30,000 miles on it for a routine check up and the service representative informed me that I needed to replace my front breaks "immediately". Zeigler was going to charge me $300 for this. Since my car was relatively new, I was suspicious and advised him I wanted to see for myself before committing to changing them out. I also planned to purchase the brakes and rotors from the store and replace them myself since it would only cost $125. Upon looking at the brakes with my own eyes, I saw that they were relatively new, with probably 10-20,000 miles of life left in them. The rotors were also fine. Had I not caught the representative trying to dupe me into a quick sale, I would have been out $300 for brakes/rotors I didn't even need to replace. Now, I get that Zeigler is in the business of making money. All businesses are. But making a quick buck by trying to trick their customers isn't the way to go about it. While I spent roughly $40 on the check up, Zeigler can be assured that I will never be walking through their doors again. Check ups, major repairs, purchasing a new car, anything. They have a small selection of entry level BMW's. Their BMW service department is difficult to get a hold of. I went in to look at an M5 on the showroom floor while my 535 was in service. The sales manager gave me the head to toe look over and blew me off as a young chump who could never afford an expensive car. He refused to even start it up for me. I took my business elsewhere that took me seriously. You have to specifically ask them to wash your car, which should be standard with any stealership service. When they actually did wash it, it actually came back even dirtier than before. I had to wipe it down myself. I believe they have rebuilt their dealership recently, but I have not been back since. read more

Eh. Meh. I guess I expected the customer service to be tcomparable to my former Honda dealership in Gilbert, Arizona. It wasn't. I went in for the Express Service. My old Honda dealership: Someone came out and greeted each customer, got the customer's name, offered a card, asked what she/he could do for the car, entered each service on a tablet, customer got an estimate for all the maintenance. If you liked that particular serviceman/woman, you could contact him/her directly in the future. It was an excellent way to establish and maintain relationships. Honda Zeigler: I drop my car off, walk inside, and say what I need done to my car. The man working at the front never asks my name (or even appears to care), never gives me an estimate of all the costs . . . I finally ask him if I needed to do anything else, and he replied by saying all he needed was my keys. Later, some poor technician wanders around the waiting room asking who owns a red Honda Civic. He didn't know it was me because no one ever asked my name. I get my invoice and go to check out, and the total was a surprise. The person working at the window didn't offer to break down my bill; I had to ask, and the total didn't sound right, even though I asked her if she applied my coupons (turns out, they didn't). She was not friendly, nor was she accommodating. I looked for a way to submit customer feedback on Zeigler's website, but I couldn't find it. Some plus sides: I have to get my oil changed only once a year (I don't drive much). And, a very friendly man gave me an oil change coupon for next time. :) Get your customer service together, Zeigler. Take a page from SanTan Honda. read more

Be aware. I bought a used BMW 47000 miles , they sold to me stating it is in good shape. I brought it back to their service department twice within 2 weeks of buying it complaining of black smoke of the exhaust and I was told all is good. Less than 5000 miles , the car broke down and found out the engine is not fixable. Don't trust their used cars. Don't trust their service department. Wish I never used them. read more

Oil changes are quick. But at the Chrysler Dodge Ram dealer, service is atrocious. Brought my Chrysler corporate vehicle in 3 weeks ago, set up a date to bring it in to get my tires changed. Come in 2 Wednesday's after and leave them my car. Sat for an hour and fifteen minutes then walked up to the desk to let them know I was going to leave with a friend to get some food. They tell me that my car is ready to go. Great, right? Well they tell me that they have just diagnosed that I need new tires. I already set up the appointment to get new tires, they looked at it. Now, they re-inspected and put the order in for new tires. "Come in at noon tomorrow" they said. Takes 30 min per tire they told me (only needed 2 new ones). Come in the next day, hand over my keys at 1. It's currently 2:30 and it looks like my car just pulled up in the garage. Been sitting there for 5 minutes while the service men sit at there desks, not informing me my car is ready. The Rochester Hills dealer I usually go to offers water, a snack, and keeps you updated on your service. Haven't been approached by anyone in the 2 days I've been here. Bottom line, I'm going to make sure I drive my vehicle back to the east side of the state for service. read more

Bought car at Dodge dealership, overall process was acceptable. Problems encountered when car needed service, ex- factory tires for car not in stock, requiring several days waiting, no courtesy shuttle offered for repairs, computers "down" resulting in lengthy waits, & car was returned with large scratches & dents supposedly "not caused" by the dealer, yet not previously present! They had difficulty locating the warranty, or even sales agreement. Waiting room is nice & clean. Well appointed with an area for the children. Edit: after meeting with the repair department, they rectified the entire issue, and quickly. They referred me to a local scratch repair service, and took care of the issue. They were able to locate my paperwork, and take care of the issues. I went from being very unhappy, to receiving excellent service. Will return. read more

I came in and asked about a vehicle I had found online. The salesman directed me to a different vehicle that I said I would like to purchase. He then told me that the vehicle was newly in stock and that he would have to look up the price. He quoted me a very high price and I walked away from the sale. The next day I found the same car listed on Craigslist. The car started at less then the salesman said his "bottom line" price was. I called the new salesman and he confirmed the right price and said he would hold it for me. I came in the next day to buy the car and the salesman said that he couldn't sell it to me for the listed price despite having confirmed the price the night before. I asked to speak to the manager who was very short with me and talked to everyone but me. Finally, he met with me and when I told him what happened he told me that was common practice. He said that he frequently would post low prices and that he allows his employees to jack up the prices once the customer comes into the dealership. He said that is why he puts small print under the ads. I pulled up the craigslist posting which had no small print and no "Subject to change" warning on it. He said that it's different on craigslist. He refused to give the car for the price he listed it for and said that he gave me a price for a different car anyways but it didn't matter anyways! He wouldn't even give me the quote for the car that I was trying to buy!!!!! Don't go there!!! They play by there own rules and are very rude and condescending. The service I received at Ziegler was very satisfactory. I was greeted immediately and my service needs discussed. I was also advised about a recall and was given the option of having that taken care of right away or re-scheduled. My car was taken in right away. The waiting area was very clean and a pleasant, comfortable place to wait. The repairs were completed in the window of time I had been promised and within dollar amount discussed. I was surprised I was charged for items that I thought should have been covered under an extended warranty that I had purchased when I bought the car.. I was told the service center could not answer the questions I regarding extended warranty coverage This is something I will be following up on and will repost the entire issue here.. Overall, it is great to have a professional, full service Honda dealer with extended hours. UPDATE: After numerous phone calls, to the finance office and then the General Manager I decided to personally to go to the dealership to discuss the Zurich warranty. I was assured it will be honored at all dealers and is better than the honda warranty. I'll make that final assessment at next maintenance check. SO far very professional and personal in ttrying to reassure me. October 2012 I finally received a coupon for completing this YELP. read more

After my second failed attempt at buying a car there I can safely say I will never buy a car there. I love everything the owners do for the community but there sales and finance people are not top notch. I basically went in money in hand with a car in mind. The car was not certified and OVER the kbb value for the certified model. I was still willing to buy it. It was over budget, still willing to buy it. Had bumps and road rash, still willing to buy it. Took 3 days to get approved (although I was already approved through my bank which they can write through) and in that time I found another vehicle. (for much less) We were very upfront with time restraints and everything. When I thanked the sales person for his time and told him I found/purchased another car. He blamed my bank for being slow. Hmm that makes a lot of sense seeing as I used the same bank for this transaction. It was a classic "I know we are over your budget so I will take you till the deadline so you don't buy another one" but I'm smart and kept looking after the second day of pulling teeth to get a response from him at all. read more

I purchased a car from the Kalamazoo location and have had issues since day one. They told me they would "make it right with me" but when it came down to it they turn there backs and did nothing. When asked about trading the car in on something different they became more concerned about how that would look in the car fax report instead of taking care of the customer. I also informed them my wife would be in the market for a new SUV within a couple months of the purchase of my car (which is now) but will not be going back or recommending them to anyone. Make sure you read all the fine print. I did not until the day after and found over $1000.00 in extras I did not know about. When I called them on it they made up some excuse and said it would be credited to my loan. It has been over two months and they still have no idea of the status. Buyer beware. read more

Yes, it's more expensive than your local shop, but it's a dealership. I've alwa felt treated respectfully, even though we are on a very tight budget and can't always afford what they recommend. They also provide a military discount and work within what I tell them I am able to afford.
