One could easily argue that downtown is oversaturated with pizza parlors. But Zeke's has more than enough going on to justify bringing its own slices to compete. What I love: Absolutely consistent product. Crust is always light and airy on the inside, but cooked firmly with a slight crunch underneath. The cheese? Always a perfect golden brown. Never too droopy or greasy here. What I like: They've got a full espresso bar and some gelato here as well. I see people coming in just to grab coffee despite an abundance of standalone cafes nearby. Not every pizzeria needs to be gourmet wood-fired stuff. They don't need to all have unorthodox menus. If you're looking for plain ol' regular pizza and maybe an Americano afterwards, you'll be just fine at Zeke's. read more

I stopped by during my lunch break and my first impression was the great service. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with a friendly smile from the woman working at the counter. She was patient while we decided what to order and even offered suggestions on the menu. You order at the counter, take a seat, and they bring your food out when it's ready. I came with a group and we ordered a beef pizza, bacon pizza, pepperoni pizza, and wings. The food was just okay. I couldn't really taste the toppings on the pizza. The inside of the restaurant was clean and had a decent amount of seating. The main reason for the high review is the excellent service. However, I don't think I would come back for the food, as it didn't stand out to me. read more

Zeke's Pizza opened in what I believe used to be the Big Brothers/Big Sisters office. I'd heard their story about an immigrant starting a small business, which I'm always happy to support, and honestly wish I had tried them sooner. Some of the culinary offerings are a bit unconventional, like promoting both coffee and pizza. I ended up trying both, even though it's not my typical pairing. The espresso was good, and I ordered the personal Meat Lovers pizza. It was solid overall, though not the best pizza within a one-mile radius. The space is clean and inviting, though the layout feels a little unusual for a restaurant. Service is counter-style and was friendly, but the communication between the kitchen and front of house seemed off. My friend didn't get the croissant she ordered because they had run out, and unfortunately no one told her until much later. They did make it right with a substitution, but it would've been better to know up front. We were also confused about whether we were supposed to bus our own table since there weren't any visible trash cans. We ended up asking and learned that bussing isn't expected. This is my second time at Zeke's but not my last. Walked in for lunch after a long morning at work and was warmly greeted by the nicest man behind the counter. He recommended the special, which was a personal sundried tomato chicken spinach pizza. All he had to say was sundried tomatoes and he had me! While I paid the gentleman felt bad about now offering me a drink, so he offered me one complimentary. II checked out the dining area while I set up my computer for work. It did not take long for my pipping hot pizza to come my way. It was a tiny, but mighty and filled with toppings that with each bite got better and better. I love how the tomatoes complemented the chicken and spinach so well. Each bite was so full of flavor that I was very sad when I got full. Thankfully I had two more slices left that I happily ate a couple of hours later. I am happy to see that Zekes is thriving and growing! This is not only a place for pizza and coffee, but a gathering spot and safe place for all! I got to check out one of the co-working spaces and I can't wait to see what will happen with this and the rest of the building. read more

Right picked up a supreme personal pizza it came out so hot and fresh and delicious the sauce amazing nice and cheesy just the way I like it. The crust soft but yet crunchy. Oh man I rarely write a one star, my experience was far from what I thought it would be. You order at the counter and sit down, we ordered a small pizza, 8 wings, a Cesar salad with ranch and a side of marinara sauce. The pizza was undercooked.. it was gummy and so when they started to bring out our other food we let the server know and to our surprise they took the pizza we had started eating and recooked the same pizza... pictures are included. I am not a chef but I have my food handlers license and I don't think that's something that is permitted but I could be wrong. The Cesar salad was basic honestly a bagged Cesar salad Kit has more to it. The wings are AWFUL they are the equivalent of buying frozen wings from the grocery store. And the marinara sauce was bad like expired bad. They brought us out the pizza and it's like maybe the equivalent of a homemade Peter piper pizza. I hope they take the time during the start of their business to grow and learn. read more

I ate dinner here last night with two friends. It is a recently opened casual pizzeria with counter service, small paper plates and plastic utensils that you should avoid using on hot food, which will melt the plastic. I ordered a personal-size pizza with sausage, onion and chicken. It was OK, but my friend's lemon-pepper chicken wings were outstanding. The place has a real Nighthawks at the Diner feel because of its downtown location and tables hugging the large picture windows. You would be on display if there were people strolling up and down Alameda Street, but there aren't any. This part of downtown is almost deserted day and night. read more

It was very bright and clean. Jordon at the front to order was great. We had the pizza. It was vegetarian and there were six of us. The crust was amazing. It was light and chewy and thin and there were plenty of veggies on there! They had a small house salad and it was very generous. Ordered a pizza for pickup while I was downtown. Service was fast and the pizza travelled well about ten minutes. Reminded me of a pizza place I grew up with. It's just a good standard pizza. Price was excellent. I feel like lately any place you go for a pie ends up being $40+. This was a large pie for pickup with two toppings for less than $20. My friend and I shared a few small pizzas at Zeke's. I never give reviews unless I can say something positive about a business but in this case I decided to do so. The pizza at Zeke's is OK, nothing more really. I hope they survive, but seeing restaurants come and go like I have in Tucson for 50 years, I don't think they will survive long term, Idk, I hope they do because it is kind of a cool place and I am sure they spent a fortune remodeling. Although the Pizza is good can be pricey... Coffee not good at all. Not only that you will pay $1.50 per .2oz cup of Ranch dressing. Paid $76 for 2 at lunch. The next time $45 both orders included Buffalo Wing with each ranch $159 or so per .2oz. You would think with the only options for tip is 15% or more per order Ranch should be included. The difference between the $75,and the $45 was we omitted the side salad and gave and 18% tip. Try Empire pizza or Rally's Pizza. Better service better price!
