This is a great alternative to taking pills to relieve pain! First my daughter went for relief with migraines, it was so shocking to see her improvement, my wife and I were in tears. Next it was my turn for my back. After the first session I felt immediate relief, it may be because I was open to it, but now I'm not having to take pills anymore. I was very nervous coming in for acupuncture. I was diagnosed with pregnancy carpal tunnel. I did not have it with my first pregnancy. Despite my fear I asked my doctor for a referral. On every visit Dr.Shirley asks my pain level, and treats accordingly. I was recommended acupuncture and the cupping method. I've always been scared of cupping, but Dr. Shirley took all worries away. It was an enjoyable experience. The facilities are 5 star! In the front waiting area, you remove your shoes. The place feels sanitary. The rooms are clean and feel good. Dr. Shirley dims the lights for you to relax, always knocks before entering the room to check on you periodically. There is even a button you may press if needing any assistance during treatment. She has a heat lamp to sooth you, and the bed tables may be heated as well. And relaxing music playing in the background. What more, after treatment you do not feel rushed out. I have sciatica and it flared up to a pain level about 9 on a 10 point scale. I have read about acupuncture and was somewhat of a skeptic when people would claim that it would take their pain away or at least diminish it significantly. On my first visit I explained my symptoms and the treatment began, I only felt one needle go in my back. The pain from the needle was like a little pinch. Right after the treatment I did not notice any improvement. I got home and went to bed. The next morning I got up and realized that the sciatic pain dropped to 5 or a 6. By the morning after 3rd appointment the pain was down to 4 to 5. I could not believe the progress that I have gotten in such a short time. The staff is amazing.
