Wow, This place is a hidden gem. They have a very cool outside patio and nice indoor seating as well. The food is out of this world. Our waiter Lena was so friendly and helpful as we were struggling with what to order due to so many great options. She also guided us on the heat level where 0 is no spice and 10 is on fire. But she warned us that the cook this night might make the Curry dishes a little hotter than normal. My wife had the Tom Kha Gai soup with chicken and said it was the best she has ever had. She also had the Ginger with chicken which is Sautéed with fresh ginger, onions, carrots, bell pepper, and mushrooms. Again it was so good. I had the Pad Thai with chicken which was Stir-fried rice noodles with egg, bean sprouts, green onion, and topped with crushed peanuts and cabbage. I have never had Pad Thai before but the flavor in this dish was outstanding and I would highly recommend it. We both got our meals with a heat level of 1 and it was pretty mild. I had a few peppers in mine that kicked up the heat quite a bit when I bit into one. I couldn't see them but I knew it when I bit into one. There were only a couple so it was fine. For drinks My wife had a Blackberry sage margarita and the glass was rimmed with black salt. It was very tasty. I had the Zen Old Fashioned and it was one of the better old fashioned I have had. This is a place you have to go to multiple times to try all their great dishes. If you like Thai food you're going to love this place. They also have some Oriental options on the menu which I am interested in trying my next visit.

We've ordered here several times for treasure out and haven't had one thing that was questionable. While waiting for our take it we had a cocktail , which, was questionable. How could this Bistro make the best Mojitos, ev-ah!!?!!

Tried this place for the first time in a continuing quest for the best Thai food. Nice atmosphere, look forward to coming back and dining in their nice outside area (complete with bar!). Interesting drink menu - I tried the specialty margarita - I think it was blackberry sage - so delicious! We enjoyed our appetizer of gyoza dumplings with a yummy ponzu sauce. Hubs had pad see ew and I had panang curry (never had with with green peas but it was good) - both excellent! Had to have the mango and sticky rice for dessert (my favorite!) Service was great!

Took a trip to Daytona and quickly looked up places to eat. We typically love Thai food so when we came across Zen Bistro naturally we were intrigued. The outdoor seating was such a nice atmosphere. And the food was FANTASTIC. The spring rolls are a must, my boyfriend had the spicy fried rice which he loved and I had the chicken garlic entree. I absolutely loved the dried garlic bits on top; I need to learn how to make that myself it was that good. We kept thinking about going back the whole trip.

Great Thai food, objectively some of the best in the area. The seating is nice and very rarely encounter a wait. Slightly expensive, but the ginger salad and curry plates are well worth. We take our relatives here when they visit and it's always a hit. *edited to add photo*

This is a must try! By far my favorite Thai spot My boyfriend and I spontaneously tried this restaurant during our Daytona getaway weekend and fell in love! Food: 5/5. Incredible, I was surprised by the large protein option, and everything was delicious! I'm not a huge soup fan, and I was pleasantly surprised! Service: staff was lovely and friendly Ambiance: beautiful and relaxing! The outside patio is very inviting

I love Thai food. However, I was surprised at the prices of their curries, noodles, fried rice, and sautéed dishes. On 7/9/24, each of these dishes cost $20-30, price depending on the protein you order. Who would pay $24 for shrimp fried rice?! It's outrageous! $20 for Vegetable $21 for Chicken or tofu $22 for Beef or pork $24 for Shrimp $28 for Fish $30 for Duck Service was good. Food came out quickly. We ordered house salad with ginger dressing ($6) and chicken pineapple curry ($21). Salad was tasty; the pineapple curry was also delicious. Chicken was tough chicken breast with no flavor, but that's expected with most Thai restaurants because that's all pre-prepared. Once you choose your protein, it's added then. Looked like a nice outdoor bar and outdoor seating. We dined inside where there were several booths to choose from. Deducting 1 star for the overpriced menu.

Cocktail with white rum and lavender. Took forever to get our cocktails. Cocktail was better than the food. Told the server my meal was bland and had no spice in it. I ordered it medium and it was so bland. His fix was to bring me some seasoning. I didn't eat my meal and told him I didn't like it. His comment was at least you are here with good company. What? He knew I didn't like it because I told him. Never saw a manager. I assumed he was going to have it remade to what I ordered but I assumed wrong. Super poor customer service. If gave a one star it was pretty bad. Left my meal on the table.

Excellent restaurant, very relaxing outdoor seating area. The food was fantastic, with credit to my server for helping me out with some great recommendations as well. The Chicken Skewers were perfectly cooked and seasoned well. The Fried Banana with Ice cream was crispy, and subtly sweet with the honey on top. The Spicy Fried Rice was a bit overpriced with no protein landing at 20 dollars... not worth it for the quality.

The service here is amazing! All of the staff is so friendly!! The food was good, every dish came out fast and hot. The patio is so cute! We had a 30 minute wait on a Saturday night but it was worth it!

Food at Zen Bistro is consistently amazing! Only complaint is if you call for takeout they often do not answer phone or it rings busy.

The food was so tasty and delicious that I'm already planning to return, but I'll have to wait. They are only open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. This eatery is located in the Daytona Farmers' and Flea Market. We parked on the south side of the premises and entered directly from outside, without going into the actual market. We walked up to the counter and placed an order. In about ten to twelve minutes, our order was ready. Everything is always packed "to go". So if you'd like to eat at one of the few tables, you'll unpack your food. I loved that my food was prepared fresh, to-order. The wait was worth it. The dining area was clean and was quite busy. There were many boba drinks and milk teas to choose from. There's definitely something for everyone.

The restaurant is small and the decor is what I'd call cozy chaotic - lots of beautiful Thai shrines and figures, but then funky Christmas lights strung over whimsical photos. Don't let the "Reserved" tags on every table cause you concern, we and every party that came in after us were assured we could sit anywhere. We started with the Som Tam papaya salad at a medium and it had a perfect kick with the sour-sweet-funk punch of lime, fish sauce, rock sugar, probably some tamarind? It was fresh, cool and crunchy and a refreshing start to the meal. I had to try the Summer Breeze Rolls because I was actually first introduced to this restaurant by their stalls set up at various local farmers markets and the peanut sauce is out of this world, perfectly sweet and salty and a little curry spice kick as well. The rolls were wrapped a bit loose but I love that they grill the shrimp and also stuff mostly with lettuce instead of a ton of noodles so the rolls were more crisp than squish/starch. I got the panang curry medium and I think I could have gone a step up on heat but it was a nice mild burn that let the flavor of the sauce shine through. The veggies were crisp, the chicken tender, and I was happy with every bite. My father got the Lard Na 100 with crispy duck (a $10.50 upcharge but so worth it, so well cooked and crisp!) and loved it, just had no heat despite ordering it medium. I was impressed with the noodles - wide rice noodles but cooked firm so they didn't fall apart but had a delightful chew. The service was friendly, attentive, and super helpful with suggestions on heat level since we hadn't been before and didn't know if they pulled their punches (they don't, so start at a level below what you usually get elsewhere). We're now on a quest to eat our way through the menu!

I've traveled to places like New York, Orlando, Los Angeles, Chicago and Detroit to find some of the best Thai food, so I wasn't expecting to discover such a gem in Port Orange. I stopped into a small family-owned Thai restaurant and ordered one of my favorite dishes, Pad Prik King with beef, along with sticky rice and ice cream for dessert. From the very first bite, I was impressed. Their version of the Prik King was different from what I'm used to, featuring an extra ingredient that elevated the dish and made it absolutely phenomenal. I requested it moderately spicy, and they delivered a perfect level of heat--bold, flavorful, and authentic without overpowering the dish. The freshness of the string beans, the tenderness of the beef, and the rich, unique sauce all stood out. Every ingredient tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. Then came dessert. Their homemade sticky rice served with ice cream completely exceeded my expectations. It was easily one of the best sticky rice desserts I've had, and I've visited a lot of Thai restaurants over the years. What made the experience even better was the warm hospitality. The waitress was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the entire meal feel like you were dining in someone's home rather than a restaurant. If you're a fan of authentic Thai food and want to support a great mom-and-pop business, I highly recommend checking this place out. It was a wonderful surprise and a meal I won't soon forget.
