In Daytona for a few days and my Yelp fam did me right again! Wonderful ginger tea, beautifully fragrant Chamomile Lavender tea and an amazing thai iced tea. It had a little different flavor than our hometown one, but it was just as good. We had the special gyoza, which came with a nicely spiced sauce. We went here last night. The service was very slow and they completely forget one appetizer that we ordered. The main entrees were very good (Panang Curry and Thai Basil). The food was hot and fresh. We've tried every Thai restaurant in the Daytona Beach area and this is truly our favorite! As hubs says.... "I could eat here every day!" Interior is clean, bright and welcoming, and love the jazz music that's always playing. Jenny is the proprietor and is SO sweet and accommodating - couldn't ask for better service. We've tried several appetizers - all delicious (spring rolls, chicken curry puff, and gyoza). All the dishes we've tried so far are amazing - basil fried rice; pad kee mao (drunken noodles); ginger, mixed vegetable and basil stir fries. The tom kha soup is also great. I love that you get a large bottle of water for the table. Definitely our go-to Thai restaurant from here on out! read more

The food was incredible!!!! Best Thai I've ever had!! The food came out super quick and everything was well seasoned and came out hot. I recommend the spicy edamame!!! The restaurant was clean with a wide range of seating options. When we first walked in we were greeted and sat right away and got are drink orders taken right away. This review update is just to say how amazing the Noodle Soup on the specials menu is - 10/10! I got it medium spicy with duck and let's just say I let out a deep and guttural "oh yeah" when I took my first sip of the broth. The dark flavorful broth is so decadent and with the noodles and crispy big chunks of duck - this is one of my new favorite dishes at Lan Lamoon! We came upon this gem when our old Thai place was damaged by the hurricane. Jenny, whom I believe is the owner, is so awesome and sweet! Wonderful food and service! We got the spicy Thai salad, shrimp tempura to start, followed by the stirfry, basil, chicken. My mom was a little upset because her basil chicken was missing green beans, but overall great flavor. For dessert I got the mango and sticky rice. It wasn't the best I've had, but it was decent. If you're planning to have Thai and you're in the area you must try this place, we did take out and it was off the charts. I can't wait to grab a seat here and explore the menu - it's rare that you can order takeout and it's amazing even after a 20 minute drive. The food preparation and packaging was impressive, the ridge containers kept our meals as close to a dine in experience as you can get, this is customer service at its best, it's not inexpensive to put together these kind of meals and package them up ensuring the food stays hot and delicious, this attention to detail tells me there are no short cuts taken in the food preparation this kitchen is the real deal. We ordered the chicken satay for a starter, this (4) piece appetizer could be a meal in itself it was absolutely delicious - the skewered chicken was full of flavor and the portions were surprisingly large. The sauces were authentic but honestly this chicken stands on its own. The Beef Pad See Ew Noodles was nothing short of incredible - there was plenty of tender lean beef and the veggies still had that crunchy texture but the show stopper was the wide flat noodles that just absorbed the sauce. We ordered this dish "thai hot" and boy does this dish deliver the heat no doubt this place understands the importance of getting the level of heat right during the cooking process (no adjustment needed at the table). If you're not familiar with authentic Thai cooking be cautious when ordering it at this level - I absolutely loved it but it's definitely at the upper end of the "thai hot" scale. Chicken Pad Thai - delicious ordered mild, full of flavor and it paired well with the Pad See Ew, the sweetness cleansed my palette when the heat seemed to get a little too much, it wasn't planned this way but it worked out great. I personally would of liked it a few levels hotter especially combined with the sweetness of this dish but hey it's not all about me and this kind of meal is all about sharing . The restaurant's decor and ambience was peaceful and seems like an ideal place to go if you're going on a date. The food on the other hand could use a little more spice. You can tell this place is family owned and they work diligently to cater to their customers. I only wish I had great things to rave about their food. We ordered what I believe is a watered down version of chicken Pad Thai and wasn't really impressed. I'll post a picture with no filter and you can be the judge and just see the lack of sauce or seasoning. We also ordered chicken satay which was actually pretty decent and can hold on its own without the sauce. I usually like to order Tom Yum soup when I go to Thai restaurants and this one also felt "watered" down as well. I should have asked for some fish sauce or salt, and maybe it could have been better. The upside though will be their mango ice cream. I just know that I can probably eat 5 more scoops of it. It may be store bought, but it was definitely the highlight. Overall I would probably come here only if I'm around the area and will probably bring my own sauce. read more

We went in on a Friday night before closing after attending my Ma's opening reception for her artshow at The Harris House in collaboration with Sibil's Shrine. We got the fried tofu appetizer, vegetable tempura, papaya salad, mango with sticky rice and pad see eiw with tofu. Everything was so fresh and we were so hungry I didn't get a pic of the tempura and fried tofu. But definitely get them if you navigate a vegan diet. Oh my good God, what a hidden gem this is. The food was amazingly delicious. From the appetizers to our main course, everything was cooked to perfection. Fried chicken wings, chicken satay, taro puff, and fried calamari to start our evening out. Main courses were Massamun Curry with chicken, Pad Thai with shrimp, Bangkok Duck, and Pad Woon Sen. Again, let me say I got to enjoy the duck... it was fabulous. We were a party of 5 .. yes, we made reservations for a Friday night at 6. However, it wasn't necessary as the restaurant wasn't busy, which we all were surprised. But as the evening went on, more folks came in, and here's my only concern about this restaurant there was only one ....yes one server. What a fantastic hidden gem! The location doesn't do it justice but the food was outstanding! We went on a Sunday night and while a few tables were seated, there seemed to be a high volume of take out. The hostess/server/food runner was the sweetest but boy did she work hard. (Hiring sign on door) She was the only staff other than the kitchen and she went non-stop. Did we wait a bit longer than we expected, yes. Was she extremely gracious and apologetic, yes. Was the food worth it, absolutely! The drunken noodles were cooked to perfection and the mango ice cream was a pleasant treat at the end. This is a definite return location for dinner.
