What a wonderful Thai restaurant . Perhaps the best fried rice I've ever had. I went with the Hawaiian Fried rice with chicken, beef and shrimp. Portion was huge, took half home. I went back again for another dish. I ordered the spicy noodles thai hot for takeout as I wasn't up for dining in then due to weather. They forgot the chopsticks I asked for. While the dish was missing some vegetables I ordered and the spice level wasn't thai hot the dish was good. I love love love spice. They have fresh vegetables and a great selection too. A unique feature that most spots don't offer which is the veggie selection. That and the taste will keep me coming back. My mouth was watering on the drive home from the smell too. It was a well balanced entree. Only critique taste wise is I wish they used slightly more basil. I only had two pieces in mine. Ambiance there is great and staff is helpful/ friendly. Next time I'll try the pad see ew or a curry. Probably dine in though. Decent portion size for takeout. Definitely hot temperature wise even around 15 minutes later. Cooked to ordered. We ordered pick up a few days ago and it was some of the worst Thai food I've had. The fried rice had 4 pieces of shrimp and the to go box was less than half full. The pad see ew had zero flavor and was so dry I had to make my own sauce and re-toss the dish so the kids would eat it. For the price you pay, this place is not worth it. read more

The first visit several months ago was excellent. Since then two take out and one dining in were totally different. Pad See Ew has totally changed. So bland! All three follow up orders were pretty bad. The take out orders were like they forgot the vegetables and sauce despite being ordered. The last in restaurant experience was so bland. I've ordered the same thing for years and it was almost not edible this last time. The chicken pad Thai had nothing but noodles and a few green onions, in my experience it's always came with multiple types of veggies and a pile of crushed peanuts and bean sprouts..also the sauce was so bad, nothing how it used to taste.. very disappointing read more

We have ordered the stir fry a dozen + times - very delicious with a protein and 5 vegetables of your choice. 5 Stars. However, the House Crispy Rolls were terrible. Filled with a mush of shredded carrots, onions, yams, rice and chicken we could not discern. Nasty. Also this time, they charged an additional dollar over the menu price for the stir fry. It was empty but people were slowly walking in. The service was very good. The waiter took our drink order and helped with recommendations. We settled for the house special rice and pepper steak. The reason for 4 stats is only because I've had this before, in other restaurants. Their's is OK. (Sorry.) Don't get me wrong. The food is good. The service is really good. The amount of food served is, allot. We were very full at the end. The food came out pretty quick. This includes an appetizer of dumplings. My husband and I came here for dinner while in town visiting my parents. This is now our go-to restaurant when we're in Ormond! We both love Thai food and were excited when my sister told me about the restaurant. We came on a week night around 5pm and were seated right away. We ordered pork dumplings to start which were absolutely delicious! The perfect combination of crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. For our mains, my husband ordered a yellow curry and I ordered a panang curry. I loved that we were able to choose the vegetables in our dishes - I've never seen that before in a Thai restaurant. We both selected our veggies and my husband ordered extra chicken plus rice for both of us. The food arrived quickly and was exactly what we were hoping for. This restaurant definitely needs an older more experienced restaurant worker to add to the support. Last night I took 15 people to Thai Woodhouse for my 59th wedding anniversary. Four days earlier I went in and preordered. They accommodated my request to have it served family style. They also told me I could bring my own wine and a cake. when we arrived tables were set and water pitchers were on table. Food we had left was packaged beautifully by them. Obviously there is no real effort made by the chef to make traditional dishes or guide the customer, just let the customer make up the menu. It's such a pity. My family and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Thai Woodhouse. We were greeted by the friendly owner and were seated right away. The restaurant is BYOB which we did not know but that's okay! Next time we will definitely bring a bottle of wine. We ordered our meals and then the owner brought out edamame on the house! I had shrimp pad Thai and it was very good! I picked my meat and 5 vegetables that I wanted and the spice level. Everyone really enjoyed their meals and we all had leftovers for lunch tomorrow. The server and the owner were really nice and the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing. It seems like a lot of people are repeat customers and know the owner well. Enjoyed my Tom yum soup and spicy noodles. The shrimp were huge and not stingy and cooked just right. My friend ordered salads and both were unexpected and not very good but they did try hard to make her happy. I recommend the soups and other dishes but maybe salads aren't their forte. read more

This was honestly the furthest from authentic Thai food I have ever tried to eat. The portion size was "decadent," unfortunately, the complete lack of traditional flavor and massive amounts of what tasted like next day fish and oyster oil spoiled any hope for even attempting to "deal" with a sub par order of pad Thai. The chicken was cooked beautifully, I will say that much, however, again, the amount of oil was disastrous. I, myself care too much for quality and authenticity to risk the outcome of such a dish. If there are 130 calories per tablespoon of oil, I suspect this one order of pad Thai to be in the 1900calorie bracket with no flavor. Needless to say, I will not be back.
