Today was my second trip back to this location. My first experience was several years ago because I do not live in the area, but I decided to come out this way for a girls nail treatment treat. They were very busy, but very organized. I was very fortunate to have Brian as my nail technician. My nails are gorgeous and, though my hands are perpetually tense, he was very patient with me and took his time, corrected issues as he went along, and delivered an outstanding service. I was in a rush and needed to go somewhere in town, and zen was booked. WORST mistake. Asked for gel mani+reg pedi -the shape incorrectly (even tho asked me multiple times and I said the same how it is now, square w round edges) She sloppily painted, and when I got home 5 min later, 1 nail fully peeled off, and 3 chipped-without me touching anything . They also don't have you wash your hands after filing etc and put lotion in ur hands before the polish which I'm pretty sure just makes it worse since your nails need to be clean from anything for painting. Massage chairs suck and barely work, polishes are visably old. I called for a fix and was able to but let's see how long this lasts. The only thing is she didn't fully fix, just painted on top 1 star bc I can't give anything less. Go to zen instead, just don't get the old lady there , everyone else is good read more

First, Bryan has a terrible attitude and will not converse. When he does his responses are rude and almost insulting. Also, I've never had such a poorly done pedicure. The polish lines were crooked and was not even brought up to my cuticles. The lines on my french gel manicure were also crooked and my cuticle were barely touched so there is dead skin around the cuticles. Have your kid yours, they'll come out better! I went for pedicure and Gel manicure. Brian seems experienced but extremely rushed. During manicure, Led light dryer malfunctioned and every few minutes it would feel extremely hot and have burning sensation on my fingers. They kept telling me to continue putting it back in without exploring the reason or changing the dryer. My fingers burned for couple of hours later. Luckily there was no visible burn. They applied some cream and advised me to do the same at home. Extremely harmful and unprofessional experience. I would not recommend. read more

I went here for dip on my real nails with a design. It looked really nice and everyone was pleasant. They didn't do any sort of clear polish over the design and after I waited a few minutes they told me it was dry and I was all set to go. I got in my car and after about five minutes noticed all the flowers were smudged. I went back to have them fixed and the man who did it seemed frustrated as though it was my fault they smudged. He fixed them and this time put a clear gel coat over which did the trick. That night my thumb nail chipped but I wasn't bothered. But the next day while I was making my bed (nothing crazy) my pointer finger cracked down the middle which was bleeding and extremely painful. I put a bandaid on and was being extremely careful and then a large part of the middle finger nail on the other hand chipped off, also very painful. My nails that I have worked very hard on growing out and paid a lot of money for are ruined. I would recommend avoiding this salon at all costs. read more

The salon is nice and staff is friendly, but the work was subpar. I felt rushed through both the pedicure and manicure. I pointed out a couple areas on my fingernails that needed some touch up and felt like a burden doing so. My technician had already moved on to another customer so I had to ask someone else to put another layer on one of my toenails. Christine's seems very overpriced in comparison to other town options. I asked if I could get "coffin" shaped nails and she rolled her eyes. She put 5 layers on one color, and 1 for another. She burnt 4 of my fingers with the drill. I wanted the nails longer but she filed them to be shorter than my natural nails when I came in. Also kept trying to convince my sister and I to do thing higher priced. I was just back for a pre-holiday mani-pedi. Nancy did a great job as usual. They have a really nice spa pedicure which I highly recommend, with real citrus exfoliation and warm towels and lots of nice massage. I don't know what the other reviewers meant by being rushed, because I certainly was not. Nancy actually apologized last night that she was keeping me too long! Perhaps you should note that some of the negative reviewers of this salon only have one or two reviews up on Yelp and possibly could have hidden agendas. I do see a lot of repeat customers every time I'm here. So I think this nail salon is doing good things for more folks than just me! I went to this salon asking for a fill, and was told that all my nails are lifting and I need a whole new set. She continued with the fill and removed one nail but another nail I came in with off. The two nails she put on weren't even close to all the rest of my nails that were already on they were significantly longer. When I feel the surface of my nail there are several indents and bumps from where she filled the nails. In the end my nails costed $30 when the cost of a fill was $20 I asked why it was so much and she said it was because of how long my nails were (witch made no sense to me) and because of the nails that fell off and the ones she had to take off. Didn't necessarily have a bad experience here, it was my first time. Woman was attentive as I was a walk in, She was nice. The place looked very clean. Only negative thing I can say is they are most definitely overpriced compared to other salons in the area..I went in to get a color change on my toes (no pedicure massage nothing) just color change.. she picked the gel color I had on with a cuticle cutter & quickly & simply filed my short toe nails. Painted them & done. Originally she told me it was $17 when I walked in... then when i went to pay it magically became $44 because I did gel. Also I got dip powder on my nails & the color I picked definitely came out way much brighter than the sample. I paid $99 total. Ive paid that amount elsewhere when I actually get the full pedicure service.. too overpriced for just a gel color change. read more

I have no idea why others have given this place a bad review. I almost didn't go because of the negative comments but I really needed someplace close to my office. So I went at lunch time for a gel manicure. I figured I could always agree with other reviewers if it wasn't good. But it was great. They took the instruments out of the enclave (sterilizer thingy) right before working on me. Sunny did a great job on my short and brittle nails, they look great now. I made an appointment to go back to him for a pedicure. I didn't find the prices high, $30 for a gel manicure is about what I have seen at most salons. If I could give them zero stars I would. I went in and they were very friendly. After they were done I saw my dip was a little bumpy and uneven and none of my nails were the same length. Overall it was just very sloppy looking but I overlooked it. About an hour later one of my dip extensions broke off. I called them calmly and asked if they could be taken off and I could get my money back and the manager said okay. I ended up not having time to get them off and went down to get my money back and the manager Brian started yelling at me. He told me he put all his effort into my nails and I said I appreciate that but for $70 they shouldn't look like this. He they slammed the money on the counter and told me to take it. He went on to scream at me in front of the entire salon telling me I'm "not a nice person" and I "should never come back". At that point I told him if he wants to run his business that way it's not my problem. He went on to chase me out the door yelling I'm a "not nice person". I have worked in the customer service industry for a long time and I am always overly nice to those serving me. Came in for a full set. Asked the nail tech if ombré French tips were possible. The tech then proceeded to walk away and ask what I presume to be the manager who told me no. Wasn't a big deal so I proceeded to get regular hand painted tips. The whole process only took 30 minutes. I can honestly say these are the worst nails I've ever had. I had been going here for years as a loyal client with my daughter. We supported them through the pandemic. I went in for a manicure today and Brian was extremely rude to me. My phone rang and I went to get it out of my bag because my husband was having out patient surgery. He got very upset and impatient because he had to fix a couple of my nails. He also asked where my previous manicure had been done complaining that the gel was hard to remove... I couldn't believe how poorly he treated me. Just went to get a pedicure before leaving on a vacation. Worst pedicure I have ever gotten. Barely used the pumice stone on my dry feet. Left with dead skin hanging from the tops of my toes because she didn't even use the pumice stone on my upper foot or toes at all. Entire thing including polish was done in less than 20 minutes. Worst set of acrylics I've gotten in 40 years! Stumpy and ill-fitting- one is even crooked! When there are no patrons in the salon the place is dead silent, once a customer walks in the staff starts talking about them in Vietnamese. No one is immune to their laughter and comments. One of them makes a comment and every one of the staff looks at the person they are commenting on. I normally do not write reviews but I felt like my experience today warranted it! I had gel polish applied to my nails by the male technician there yesterday. When I saw one of them had chipped I called and they said to come right in and they would fix it no questions asked. So he did and as I was getting ready to leave he said in a louder than normal voice that I had done something to my nails to make this happen. (First of all I did nothing unusual the prior 24 hours. I have a lot of experience with gel polish as I even do my own sometimes when I have time. I just chalked it up to some random reason.) So he continues on in the loud voice that the nails he does NEVER chip and that I alone was to blame. Very defensive. So people in the salon turn around and look at us. I can not tell you how humiliating and inappropriate that was! I have no idea what he thought he was going to gain by humiliating me in front of other clients no less. I went for manicures today with my mom. Both nail techs were very rushed (we couldn't believe how fast we were in and out) even though it was not too busy. They also seemed annoyed that it was taking us a few minutes to choose our colors. After leaving I realized that the gel polish does not reach the end of my nail, so it almost looks grown out already. read more

Updated - 2017 I had changed my review to 5 stars before because I had switched to Christine's after a few bad experiences at another nail salon I went to. But the last few times I went, I have had the gel chip off of my nails within 1 or 2 days. I get gels all the time and this is not supposed to happen. I am leaving it at 4 stars because they are very friendly and accommodating of walk ins. They are a bit pricey but the person who did my French manicure did an excellent job. I came in very last minute to get my nails done for a wedding I was going to and I was helped right away. I think my manicurists name was Mike. This salon is right up the street from me too so I would go back again for a manicure even despite the higher cost. read more

I made an appointment four days before, as it was the Friday before Easter and I wanted to make sure I could get in and my mom was watching my daughter so we coordinated. I walk in and I give the gentlemen my name and he asked me if I was part of group, I said NO, said he did not have my name in the book...after a few minutes of arguing and telling him I called several days in advance, tells me to pick out my color, then about four high school girls walk in getting pedicures, the guy asked me to come back later that day, I was PO'd!
