Favorite spa place in California without a doubt. I have looked for many places in OC, Bay Area, and SD county and this has been the one that I keep coming back to. Extremely good prices for the hard work they do and have had almost only good massages with whoever is available at that time. I really hate to have to leave this review because they are so nice but this is my second time going and wanted to give them a second shot. First time I went I was left with bruises and pain it was the absolute worst massage I've ever had and I've had many from many places. I tried again today and asked for soft Swedish massage and I'm not sure I'd even call it a massage. It didn't feel bad but it wasn't enjoyable I couldn't wait for it to be over. Saw Amy and had a "combo massage" which is basically a full body massage. She was excellent! If you don't care about a fancy spa setting, this is a great place. I came here after my favorite place a couple miles away closed. It's a very nice location and the facility is great as well. You definitely need to call ahead and I suggest asking about specials when you call. They update their menu often, but don't post the updates so you'll miss out if you don't ask. I reserved an hour and noticed that their monthly special was a great deal so I asked to have that done, but they couldn't accommodate the extra 20 minutes. The massage itself was great and my favorite part is that they aren't afraid to give you a real massage. I hold a lot of tension in my glutes and traps from years of running, horseback riding, and swimming so I was happy to get a true full body massage rather than an awkward back and arm massage that you get at chain locations. They have a rewards stamping program so I made sure go pick up a card on my way out. The price is right and the massage was great. The only thing that wasn't great was the check-in process. I showed up 10 minutes early and didn't end up in the room until 15 minutes after my appointment (25 minutes after I arrived). I wasn't in a hurry so it wasn't a problem, but I was disappointed when I realized that if it didn't take them that long to check me in then I totally could have gotten the longer massage. Seriously do not waste your money here. I've been to multiple reflexology places and this was awful. The place smells like a dirty litter box, and it's super hot and stuffy. My massage therapist (if that's what you call it) was hacking up a lung outside and smoking when we walked in....praying to god to didn't get him, luck was not on my side. He had hands like sandpaper, all I could smell was his cigarette breath while he was coughing and burping the whole time, AND to top it off, I have small red bug bites on my back. So gross...Trust me, do not go here. No idea how they have any 5 star reviews. read more

Not sure how this place can possibly get such good reviews. I just moved to the area and have been in need of a massage. I chose this place based on the reviews and the fact that it was a 7 min drive from my house. I certainly wasn't expecting a fancy day spa experience with their pricing but at least a clean establishment with a decent massage. When I walked in, I already knew I would not enjoy this based on the lack of ambiance. Also there were no forms for me to fill which I'm accustomed to whenever I get some type of treatment done. After pre-paying for my 90 min massage I was taken back to a seedy-looking room with just hooks to hang my things, a questionable massage bed, and a bunch of towels. I figured I might as well experience this since I already paid and if it gets weird I can just leave. I was surprised to have a masseuse that was dressed in jeans and a t-shirt. I didn't think it would get any worse but the massage was absolutely horrendous and weird! She kept missing all the areas that matter like my back, neck, and calves and was massaging the most random areas of my body like my ribs and Achilles' tendon. Then at the end of my massage, when I was on my back, she crawled in between my legs and proceeded to massage my thighs. Wtf?! Lesson learned... I will most definitely go to a legitimate establishment next time even if it costs me an arm and a leg. At least now I know what a $57 massage (+tip) will get me : a nonexistent and cold environment, horrible massage by someone who is clearly not properly trained, questionable sanitary practices and possibly a happy ending. I just moved here, and needed a massage. I saw this by my place, and figured might as well. I am not coming back. The foot massage, 3 chairs in the back area and no doors. You can hear people going in and out of the back door non-stop. Please add WD40. It was more annoying than relaxing. The massage itself wasn't even good at all, elbows at 85%. I've come here quite often because of the prices. Massages are okay, people are not as friendly. When we've walked in, the front desk receptionist seems very impatient and unfriendly. One time, my husband and I paid with a hundred dollar bill for two massages and he quickly put the money in HIS POCKET. A little sketch to be honest. The massage therapists come in, most of them are nice, but I've often had someone say, "Finished" and quickly walk out the room as if they didn't want to be there in the first place. Sometimes the music is too quiet, or there's none at all. All these things seem small, but when they are added up they make the ambiance and experience more UNCOMFORTABLE than anything. We've left at times questioning whether or not it was worth it. The last and final thing that made us decide to FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE is that I came in and got a $50 massage. Again, it was good, but not great. Afterwards I tipped in cash $4. As I handed over the TIP the front desk receptionist counted it, made an unpleasant face, and tried to get me to tip more. He went as far as to FOLLOW ME OUTSIDE to tell me that "this time it's fine, but next time I need to tip at least 10%". I saw no sign for that anywhere. I could've handed them the extra dollar, but the exchange made me very uncomfortable and I decided to just walk away. I hope this review is helpful. I've been coming to Zenith Spa for years since I live in Aliso and honestly they always do a great massage for its price for an hour. I've also been to many high end luxury spas that cost $300 per hour so coming here for less than $40 per hour is a great deal if you are coming for a massage without the frills. I'm also very pregnant and at 38 weeks my swollen feet were literally killing me and just got my massage from Tony last night and was amazing! And I got a private room which was awesome.I had a male for the first time and he was great. his name is Mike in case you're interested! What's wonderful about the spots is that it ends up being a full body massage just over the clothes so you're totally comfortable. A couple things to remember when coming here... -Bring cash because most places charge two dollars or more for the credit card transaction fee which is lame -wear clothes that you're not too concerned about since they do massage over towels. This was literally the worst massage i've had in my entire life, and I've had a lot a) the masseuse was running 20 minutes late b) the masseuse did not speak ANY english, so when I tried to tell her that the pressure was too hard she had to walk outside to get the receptionist to come in and translate for her c) the masseuse kept a sheet on me most of the time and rubbed my body over the sheet...I tried to explain that I wanted lotion and for her to rub my back, but it was a lost cause d) the masseuse had a very painful technique to the point where I've come to believe that she learned how to massage POW in Guantanamo Bay and then brought her techniques to this OC "spa" e) there is no privacy or silence in this spa. There are doors and the rooms are separated with curtains. So you can hear the masseuse slapping around the lady in the next 'stall' and hear the receptionist chatting on the phone just save your money and go somewhere better where you won't leave feeling more sore than when you walked in... read more

Typically, when I go to get a massage at places like this, where you only pay $25 for one hour... I cut them quite a bit of slack. The masseuse was Paul. At the beginning I was skeptical because he was massaging my head and pulling on my hair, a little bit. After I told him to be careful he understood quickly and it felt very good. I went in there because I had been so stressed especially due to the hectic holiday season. My shoulders and my traps felt like steel and I had been in a lot of pain with awful headaches. Paul immediately felt where the knots were in my shoulders and my upper back. He starting very gently and worked his way harder, completely releasing whatever tension was in my neck and shoulders. When I left there, as I told my friends, I felt like a new woman! This was definitely one of the best massages I have ever had... even compared to places like Burke Williams. For $40 it can be very nice....but been about 5 times and the only constant is that is inconsistent. Sometimes we leave feeling great, and other times we feel like we went 12 round with Pacquiao. This is not a luxurious experience but certainly relaxing and a great value. I arrived at 9:15 as a walk-in (I called ahead) and was greeted pleasantly. There was a woman on her way out raving about her massage and singing their praises. She mentioned that she would be back and buying gift cards. I was glad to hear that as I had no idea what I was in for. I went for the 30 minute neck, shoulder, back massage and was asked if I preferred a male or female masseuse. The woman really worked out a number of kinks. It wasn't a gentle massage, but she did ask what kind of pressure I wanted. At one point I had to ask her to go softer. She seemed very capable. I can see where this place saves money. The back room is one large room sectioned into smaller rooms with thick curtains. It feels private enough to undress and they played soft music. I was the only client there at the time so I can't comment on the noise. My masseuse barely spoke and the place was silent. The massage table is simple with a low thread count sheet. I was asked to cover up with another sheet and thin blanket folded on the table. There were no fabulous lotions and aromatherapy just plain lotion that was wiped off with a warm towel toward the end. All in all, I'll be back. I'd love to try the check-in special! (If I'm looking to feel pampered, I'll go to my favorite place in Laguna Hills that got me through my pregnancies). read more

Stopped by here to take my fiance. It is a great location, the Caucasian guy up front was extremely helpful and detailed. We only ran into a few hiccups. 1. The robes provided were tiny. were bigger but weren't the biggest people who came through that door. so during the waiting room/foot soak we had to wear our normal clothes. 2. the ladies that were massaging us knocked and walked right in without waiting to be welcomed. so they walked in us naked, not a big deal but there should be a little courtesy before walking through those doors.
