The Lord knows that as much as I love this place, I was so sick from diarrhea in the bathroom after eating their Nagari salmon Nagari Lord knows that I have never experienced anything like this after eating some raw sushi that literally after my second or third bathed I was in the bathroom and I could not even come back and finish the fourth one because I was so afraid of how much it would hurt after coming out from that bathroom, it's just not OK so after I left paid my bill, I left the bathroom after paying my bill and stuff I when I had and tried to talk to the sushi guy and I was like hey I don't think your Nagari is good he just miss me. He was like oh no we just got that in today. We just got that into Gay. There's no way and I'm like yes there is a way, but I didn't say that I internally thought that and now I am driving home all the way home The next 30 minutes with my stomach grumbling and I'm very disappointed because I eat here a lot maybe twice or three times a month which that's not a lot compared to other people but I love it I love this place and then now I feel like I should never eat Nagari there again. My experience was alright. The lamb chops were amazing and very well seasoned. The drinks were a little strong but bland; didn't really have a strong distinct taste. But the bartender was very knowledgeable and friendly. I had two different rolls that were ok but the overall look and texture was inconsistent. read more

Lately I have received really crappy service at this location. Today the hostess quickly sped off to seat us. Although we had quite a few more steps to get to our table, the hostess placed the menus on the table and walked off. How rude! Our waiter, Hieu, did not have a clue and seemed really distracted placing our orders. My husband had to wait 10mins after son & I received our food before he got his. Once my husband received his food, it was only a portion of his order. Does it really take that long for spring rolls? My husband had to approach Hieu in order to get our check as it was taking him entirely too long. We will start going to the Rosemeade location as this is our second consecutive time experiencing bad service. We noticed another couple waiting on their check for a long time with another waiter. Landed at this place last night since I was looking for a place with good ratings open late... It is a gem, loved the ambience, the fact that the place is lively and the food was tasty as well... Had the Tom Yum Chicken Soup which was very delicious and spiced appropriately... Took Drunken Noodles combo with spice level of 3, it was really good as well.. Portion sizes are good enough for one person and the service is reasonably quick given that the place is almost packed even around midnight... Promptly posted on my FB wall that this is a good place open that late since many of us end up working late due to the nature of our work... Went here for the first time late friday night....i was thinking it wasn't going to be busy inside since it was 1am and the restaurant is located in the 'burbs....i was totally wrong! The place had about 75% occupancy and it was poppin' with pop/hip hop playing inside. You have the option of sitting at the drink bar, sushi bar, or inside the dining area...i love their VERY diverse selection of thai and japanese cuisines....but the best part is they're open until 3am! And if you're in the mood for bowling, there's a 24hr bowling facility down the street! I didn't try any of the thai food but i ordered the sashimi seaweed salad (slices of tuna, white tuna, albacore, yellowtail, salmon, and shrimp on top of japanese seaweed with garlic ponzu sauce) and 4 specialty rolls (eel roll, plano roll, retro roll, zenna roll) - they were all delicious! And it went well with hot sake! Their rolls are huge here though! So keep that in mind when ordering. I didn't know this and i ended up not eating all my rolls. Although, they don't have any specialty fish that rotates, just the usual stuff like tuna, yellowfin, salmon, etc. But if you're down with eating the traditional items found inside sushi restaurants, and it's late at night, and you're in the Plano area, this place is worth checking out! The food was bad. The service even worst and the manager lied to our face. Place went downhill. So we went in monday night and they were only 1/4 full yet we had a 15 minute wait. That was fine. The main meals and the an appetizer came out and my friends were almost done eating but my my meal a tuna tataki( an appetizer course) never came out until we asked them for it. They forgot my order. Ok. It was flooded with sauce. Looks more like soup than takaki. Than we had to argue with the waiter, one John t. That it looks nothing like menu. Got a couple recommendations to try this place, went on a Saturday night. Had about a 15 minute wait. Not a fancy place, but I'm there to eat. I ordered a soda; being a soda addict, I'm pretty particular. The Coke had no fizz, seemed flat. Husband was pleased they had Ciroc at the bar. Our waiter started off very friendly and talkative, mentioned this was only his third day (uh oh). They had a red dragon person come out while they sang to a table. That was cool to watch. I guess it was somebody's birthday. The whole time, I kept saying I wanted the dragon to come back. Food was okay. I got the Thai Lomein (Pad Ba-Mee). It wasn't bad, but the chicken was so bland and dry, I scooted it off to the side of my plate and didn't eat it. If it was cooked in a brown sauce (as advertised), it dried up in the cooking process. He got the combination Thai fried rice. It was okay, just needed some soy sauce. Service went downhill. Took a long time for our server to come back after our order was placed. Someone else brought our food out. He just seemed really distracted. I think he was too busy, too new, something. I did like the overall vibe of the restaurant. It was loud, but filled with lots of people laughing, smiling, and just having a good time. Very diverse crowd. Man, my friends had the worst experience going here this past Friday. I'm usually a big fan of zennas, especially happy hour but I think I'm starting to realize how this restaurants quality in going down each time I visit. But this past visit just ruined it completely for me! It took a good minute for the waiter to even get us drinks, it was a busy night though so I can understand that part. The worst part of the night was when the waiter was taking our order. He wasn't patient or understanding at all. My friend asked about an entree and then the waiter answered the question quickly, assumed she's going to buy that item, and moved to the next person. He rushed through it so quickly but in a good way. Like come on man, that's just so rude. He didn't treat us well at all. Then the food came out and everything just looked gross! My friend got spring rolls and the sauce that came with it loooked like someone spit in it (which the waiter could have honestly lol). My other friend got the crunchy roll and it literally tasted like nothing. The worst order of sushi I've ever had. I got the drunken noodles, the way it was put on the plate it looked gross too haha, but it still tasted fine. Probably because I was so hungry haha. The food quality seems like it's just going down so much here. My friend even saw the one of her napkins looked like it was used to kill a bunch of mosquitos. It was so gross! I don't come here often but when I do, it's between 3-7 during their happy hour! Their happy hour offers a variety of different appetizers, sushi, and drinks all at a very low price. Zennas also closes at 3AM so it's a good place to stop by after a night out with friends. Overall, I think their food is okay. Not the best quality food but decent for its price. Off the Hot Tapas side of their happy hour menu, I usually get either the fried calamari, heaven beef, or crispy chicken wings, all ranging from $4-$5. The fried calamari comes with a tangy sweet sauce which goes well with the calamari. The beef was a bit too chewy in my opinion but the hot sauce it came with definitely helped. When ordering wings, you have the option of getting spicy tamarind, teriyaki, or pepper garlic. My friends and I ordered the pepper garlic and felt it was a bit dry. It came with 6 wings for $4.20. If you're deciding between the 3, I would go with the calamari first, then the wings, and last the beef. As for their sushi rolls, the crab meat dynamite is probably the best one there. It includes crawfish, crab stick, avocado, and cucumber topped with a layer of baked crawfish and shredded crab meat and covered in a pool of spicy cream mayo. I would not come to Zennas specifically for sushi though. The crab meat dynamite was $12.50 but there are a lot better places that serve sushi for around the same place price. As for their Thai food, I have yet to try it but I've heard that their sticky rice mango dessert was a must try. read more

It was packed on a Tuesday night - hot and crowded right before happy hour ended (7PM). Our group of 7 was seated pretty quick. Service wasn't too bad- she forgot a drink and never brought an appetizer... but whenever we paid attention and said something, she brought it out to us no problem and kept the happy hour price. The food was brought out - decent presentation and overall okay flavors. We got the spring rolls, spicy tuna and Philadelphia rolls on happy hour. (Philis were more popular). The large bowl of miso soup was enough for all of us. My family enjoys the dip-able crab ragoons here... Both curries were fine (one with shrimp, other with chicken)... and the chicken Pad See-Eew (stir-fried rice noodles, broccoli, bean sprouts) seemed like it had a nice flavor with a level 2 spice. This is a long overdue post. We have been to this location several times since we moved to Plano. The service and food has always been excellent. But David was our server this time and he was amazing! He suggested the perfect roll and got everything out in a timely manner while making sure we were taken care of. I was most impressed with the fact that he did not have to write down our order, which was a laundry list of items! They have a very good happy hour men, including cheap beers, sake, and other drinks along with sushi and tapas. Our favorites are the thai dumplings, gyoza, and samosas. For entree, we normally order Chicken Red Curry and Chicken Lad Na, which were all amazing. This place is my go to for authentic Lad Na. Definitely recommend Zenna! read more

The drunken noodles, which is one of their best sellers, which is also moderately spicy is one of the best dishes that I have tried here. The Sushi selection is amazing! I ordered the Crab Meat Dynamite Roll, which cost $12.50.I have to be careful when I order sushi here because it's so good I can spend quite amount of money. The service is kind of spotty as well. I see why the reviews are so low. I have ordered from Zenna well over a dozen times. The last time they sent my rice and not my egg rolls and still charged me for them. Today they screwed up the order, not the first time that they screwed up the order, but the first time that I ever called to complain about it. They remade the order and sent it out about an hour later and the delivery driver asks for the wrong order. I guess they figured we're just trying our hand at a free order of fried rice. Customer service here is horrible, and for the prices, it should be better!! "Host" or whoever he was took us to our seat without saying a word or offering us a menu, or pointing out QR Code. Ok so I was off early from work and I was craving there coconut soup. I work in Dallas love in mesquite. So I called mesquite location only to be rudely told that they could take my order bc they didn't open till 3. Fine I waited till 5 after 3 only to be told they didn't have coconut soup. It was extremely mushy and it was just a extremely low quality California roll covered with eel. The pad see mow was ordered a 3 out of 5 for spiciness. It was scorching burning hot, and this is someone who has a high tolerance for heat. It was a 5 for sure. Told the waitress, and she only gave a bunch of excuses. Will not be going back ever. I walk in, and the air is really bad, feels like I've walked into the restroom. We arrive pretty late, so their bar was close, even though a little early (1:45am), but that's fine. Their sushi is pretty much 80% rice and 20% anything else, and it's pretty underwhelming, I've honestly had better sushi at a sushi buffet. Their Thai food is nothing special, it's pretty terrible for their price as well, there are many other things better for the same cost. A few months ago, we had ordered online and when we got there to pick up the dinner at 5.30 pm(pick up time on the order), the restaurant was closed with a notice on the door that they had some plumbing issues. Had to get the refund back via our credit card. Decided to give them a second chance a couple days ago. Walked in and they said that their system was down but they will accept cash - No CC. Fine - we had cash on us and were seated. Mind you this was around 6.30-7.00 pm and not at all just before closing time. The server then came by and told us that they could not cook food because the system was down??? What does that even mean?? He said that we were welcome to wait but there was no guarantee when the system would start working? What does taking order got to do with the system? I made an online order on 10/16/2017 at 12:22 pm for 2 orders of chicken yellow curry. I picked it up few mins after 1 pm. We started to eat when we got home. We found out there was no chicken in it. Both orders were no chicken in it. I called their restaurant number and talked to the receptionist. I complained about the missing chicken. Zenna has never let me down! I've been to this Plano location many times and have always had good experiences. I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes for a table, no matter what time I've gone. I'd certainly attribute this to their quick and efficient service since it's certainly not due to a lack of customers! The servers are always super attentive and are always more than happy to explain specials or menu items. In my trips to Zenna I've tried rice entrees, lots of noodle dishes, the egg roll, calamari, and steamed dumpling appetizers, many sushi rolls, and their bento box lunch deal. I've never tasted a bad piece of food here! Pro-tip: Some Asian restaurants ask for your preferred spice level between 1-5 and you say 2 because a 1 is bland and a 2 isn't spicy, it's just spiced. ZENNA'S IS NOT ONE OF THOSE PLACES. If you are a weenie when it comes to spice, do not, I REPEAT, DO NOT order a 2. Try a 1.5 MAYBE. I made this mistake recently, and although the food was still extremely edible, I spent a large amount of time picking out the red pepper flakes to avoid fire-tongue. I would have rated this place much higher. But the noise level was off the charts. And the atmosphere is terrible. The walls are flat featureless concrete with no decoration at all. Which probably partly explains the noise level. The fact that there is no separation from the bar is another big contributor to the noise level.
