It's also awesome that on different days they offer a variety different specials. On this visit, we had great overall service and sat on the outdoor patio bar area because the weather was fantastic. I had their wings, which were served hot and dashed with tasty sauce. Also, for parents with Littles, they have several different kids meals for them to choose from which makes it a fun family experience overall. They also have a variety of beer to choose from and I would definitely recommend heading there on game days. Nice outdoor area. Just because you make a pizza square doesn't mean it's "Detroit style!" It has an inch and a half of crust with absolutely no cheese all the way around. Maybe the other pizza here is better but only bought this one and wouldn't recommend it. One of the toppings I ordered was sausage. If you took all the sausage on that pizza and put them together in a ball, it would be the size of a marble. Same deal for the other toppings ordered. We've been trying to get out more in our own town and decided it was time to give Zeppelin pizza a try. It's the perfect old school pizza joint feel that I remember as a kid. The pizza specialties aren't called deep dish, but cassettes and regular pizzas are vinyls which was confusing at first. We were here on bingo night (Thursday) and happy hour which was a decently fun combo. The draft beers are a good variety and the pizza was good. Not great, but good. Our service was good. Their outdoor space is well equipped with a bar, large tv's and string lights (which for some reason makes it that much cooler), but that's also where all the smokers hang out so it kind of ruins that whole cool vibe for our crew completely. Perfectly fried, not too much seasoning, and served with a tasty marinara. My husband and I each got a small pizza. He got the Pizzaiolo with meat and peppers - you can see a slice of it in the photo, and I got the Blanco which has an olive oil base with spinach, artichokes, tomatoes, and feta. We really enjoyed coming to this location. This is a small pizza shop that offers quite a few other options as well. The food is more typical bar cuisine, but the flavor and cook is quite pleasant. We enjoyed the fried chicken Caesar salad. The lettuce was fresh and dark green and the amount of protein that came with the salad was great! We also tried their chicken Parmesan sandwich. This was certainly a hefty helping, but my husband certainly enjoyed it. Man oh man this food was too good! I ordered the Calamari appetizer, Caprese Bistro Steak, and a 10" Supreme pizza. The Caprese Bistro Steak could use a bit more seasoning but with a little added salt and pepper it was absolutely delicious! Was looking for a place to get an outdoor drink on the island and this came to mind. Probably the second best outdoor spot, second to Tattooed Moose. Very dog friendly and super friendly staff. The drinks were good and refreshing. I got the Backstage Pass, an aperol spritz type drink. This time we got the chicken tenders tossed in Thai chili sauce, the same sauce they use for their wings. The tenders were crispy and the sauce was delicious. They have VERY good ranch. Their pizza is good and they have various specialty options. This is my go to take out spot on the island. read more

Pretty good pizza on John's Island, open late every day which is rare on the Island. I have been several times, never had a bad experience. My most recent visit we split a 14" supreme pizza on a Saturday night. Said it would take 25 minutes but finished in 15, I like that they under promised and over delivered. We went to this place today for lunch. I surprised my mom with going here because she LOVES Led Zeppelin. We ordered the candied Brussel sprouts to start, which didn't actually get to us until we were done eating our main course. I was okay with it though because they were amazing and worth the wait. I couldn't stop eating them! They had a good sweetness to them, crunchy chard flavor, and prosciutto! I would totally order them again. I had the Blanco pizza but with red sauce instead of the olive oil (I know, Blanco means white and not getting it that way defeats the purpose. Everything else on the pizza sounded good though! Tomatoes, spinach, feta, and artichoke hearts). I enjoyed my pizza and they have good crust. My husband got the Zeppelin beef sandwich and liked it okay. It wasn't his favorite dip sandwich. It was a bit strong on the pepper relish they put on it. I tried a bite and agreed. My daughter loved her cheese pizza and my mom enjoyed her Blanco pizza (as it comes). My mom claims she doesn't like Brussel sprouts, but theirs changed her mind. She very much enjoyed them. We sat outside and it was a great atmosphere. It was quiet (not a ton of traffic noise) and all around very nice. We have a lot of favorite places on Johns Island. We are so excited to have this place on the island, especially with living only a mile down the road from it! We actually went on the day they opened, but decided to get it to go due to realizing how crowded they would be, which is awesome. We got a couple pizzas and the fried mozzarella and everything was delicious! All of the staff was super friends and I loved all the band and musical artists shirts all the employees were wearing! I am so sad that the current situation has happened with the pandemic, but am happy they are still open as we have continued to order take out from them and they have not disappointed one bit! Finally made time to try JI location since it's close by. Let them know that the paper towel dispenser in the bathroom had dead batteries and there is no bypass, they said they've known for days but "it works once in a while" so they haven't bothered. Ordered the saddest little $6 side salad I've ever seen. Pizza not fabulous but passable. Our server was sweet and attentive, the only saving grace.
