I have to be honest I didn't expect much out of this place. I just wanted a simple salad. We were greeted and seated quickly. Our server arrived within a few minutes. The only knock, table was dirty. Crumbs all over it. Anyway, we ordered. Toasted Cheese Ravioli, garlic wings, a tossed salad for my wife and a Caesar salad for me. Toasted ravioli arrived first. Served with marinara.and pesto. It was just about perfect. Crispy and cheesy. Salads arrived next and there were huge. My Caesar salad.was so good. Could have used more shaved Parmesan cheese but I'm being nit picky. Wife really enjoyed her salad too. Finally the wings arrived. Crispy with a good but not overpowering garlic flavor. Great location, right on King. Solid pizza. Reasonable price point. REALLY loved that San Marzano is mentioned specifically in the menu. Yum! We sat down at the bar for a quick drink and snack before the usual King Street Friday uptick. Server/bartender was friendly and attentive. Again, solid pizza. We keep our pizza choices simple, especially if "crust" is in the name. And yes, TC delivered a tasty, slightly charred, chewy, and crunchy crust. Let's start with the ok. The pizza was fine. Honestly would have new fourth or fifth in my small town in Maine. It took about an hour to come out and the crust was still undercooked. They don't have a wine list and just a house red seemed to be the only choice. The bar tender server was nice, but not overly invested in speeding up service. Worst dining experience I've ever had. Not busy for a Friday night and the staff was completely overwhelmed. Took 30 min to get drinks, had to get our own silverware, only received 4 very wet plates when there were five of us, and we were repeatedly lied to about the timing of our pizzas, probably to avoid us walking out. We watched numerous tables receive food/drink items they did not order and the pizza was mediocre at best. Very disappointed and was a waste of almost 2 hours of our time. We were told 2 cooks didn't show up so I understand the wait for food but there's no excuse for the horrible service we received. We were comped a pizza and a glass of wine as an apology for the wait time but seemed too little, too late. We would have gladly taken our business elsewhere had we known they were short handed and we would be waiting well over an hour for a few pizzas. read more

The food was AMAZING! And I hate to admit it but I am really picky. The fettuccini was way better than most of the really expensive places we have been. It was DELISH! The focaccia was the best we've ever had! All the ingredients are so fresh and perfectly seasoned. Our server Joanna was a doll and so sweet! But Courtney the manager was a standout!! The margarita pizza was perfect (made the way it should be with a red sauce base and circles of mozzarella with fresh basil) and the truffle Alfredo was THE BEST ALFREDO I've ever had!!! The chef Andrea is from Italy and even came to our table to chat. We also shared the ravioli and focaccia bread as appetizers. The focaccia was legit and came with a delicious pesto sauce. I am traveling and wanted pizza walkable from the hotel! I sat at the bar ordered my to go order and had a drink while waiting. The drinks were delicious but the order took a very long time and the restaurant wasn't very busy! The chef finally brought the pizzas out with profuse apologies for the length of time and a free order of beignets for the wait. The wait was worth it! 10/10 recommend! Native New Yorkers in Charleston for a wedding. We stopped there in between the ceremony and the reception. It was fantastic. They even had gluten free pizza which was a great surprise for me because I can't have gluten. The sauce was delicious. The wait staff was so kind and friendly.
