I recommended Insomnia and she loved it. The bakery items are also terrific. I am a croissant freak, and theirs is now my 3rd favorite. My first is anywhere in Paris, 2nd is Bakery Noveau in Seattle. My third favorite was La Provence, but the version at Insomnia is even better. It flakes crumbs as it should. The staff is also quite friendly Today I had the blueberry/blackberry scone and it was so good. I did bring a croissant home as my wife agrees with my assessment as well. I will definitely be back, and that will be quite soon.

Multiple people who ordered after us got their drinks first. I eventually had to walk up to the bar, point behind the counter, and explain that we'd been waiting and my mom was sitting in the car. For a lot of people, going out for coffee is a treat; It certainly is for me as a student. When you're spending that money, you'd hope for at least decent service. Unfortunately, this visit was the opposite of that expectation.

We sat outside to eat and after a few bites and finding these were nothing like the fluffy Japanese pancakes they'd expected, we threw away $44 worth of what was supposed to be a pleasant breakfast experience. I've been to many bubble tea places, and this is the only one that has a sign up that says the "cup will not be fill to top when order with no ice." I just thought it was quite funny. They have a very large menu and everything they had looked very appetizing, but it's really just for the looks. I ordered a popcorn chicken and the pieces were very small and dry. I tried the coffee flavor drink and it was pretty bland, no coffee taste at all. If you're a real coffee drinker, this will not satisfy you. I did try another drink my group had order, I believe it was the lychee slush? That was actually very good. I would come back for that if I had time since their service is quite slow. I've been wanting to come by this place but the lines during the weekends are always long! But today I decided to wait it out with a buddy of mine. We were greeted at the register by one of the employees. If i could remember I believe her name was Sam. She was very knowledgeable when it came to the menu and since it was our first time there we surely had a lot of questions but she was very patient and helpful. I ended up ordering the split cup with matchata and jasmine milk tea. The staff was working fast and were getting the drinks out quickly. We got out drinks in less than 15 minutes! Not only milk tea, I recommend you try fruit teas such as Lychee Rush, Cucumber limeade ..It made from natural juice fruits. I guess many peoples have them same feeling with me. Everything else was lower price than that and didn't wanna deal with the price difference nor did I think additional tip was deserved. I asked for a refund which they struggled to do and ended up not being able to, so they refunded me in cash. They proceeded to give me $6.90 but I asked doesn't the drink cost $7.70? They said no it's $6.90 until they checked again and I had to call out the $0.80 charge for the size. I even took a picture just incase. Also wanna note when we were watching them make my wife's oolong tea they added aloooot of water. Idk if that's normal but she noted it pretty much just tasted like water. Safe to say never coming here again.

Or rather saccharine, which is what I do. But the drinks here are pure. The baristas here are excellent and I am a former barista, trained by the very particular coffee folks at Port City Java... out of Wilmington NC. I stopped here on the way out of my Planet Fitness not knowing what I would expect or should expect. What I got was an excellent roast with a perfect balance of sweetness, if I did not care for sugar at all. But if you're looking for your corporate coffee chain, this is not it. They also gave me a lovely chocolate coated espresso bean as sort of a finisher. Walk up hang out. There is no ambience to speak of because it's a walk up coffee shop people. You aren't gonna be able to remote work from Human Bean. You want a great cup of coffee you can find it here? But if you like the burnt roast at the Bux... Well, as Shakespeare says, get thee to a nunnery.
