Ahi - Tuna
Tany C.

I order the Ahi-Tuna plate and it was delicious!!! Very flavorful and the sides were perfect. The cucumbers were a perfect way to clear the palate as the Ahi seasoning is on the spicier side. Portioned perfectly!

Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl

The ahi tuna poke bowl is a new item you must try on these hot summer days in Texas. It's super refreshing and tasty. Both the poke cream sauce is light and tangy while the house teriyaki sauce is also light but tart and slightly sweet. A little of both go a long way. The ahi tuna is super fresh and flavorful. For $17 its a great value buy meal.

Flies, flies, and MORE FLIES!. It was if some satanic force had taken over the sidewalk cafe area in front where we sat with our dog. But was this the restaurant's fault? Could they control this force of nature? Food, eaten between constant swatting, was nice, I think. Like the beer tasting, my mind was realing with so much revulsion over the Fly ATTACK from Bezzelbub, I've no idea. Service was cheerful throughout, explaining that San Angelo was a Fly Mecca, and most residents we're accustomed to the pests!. Hey, management CLOSE the cafe during Natural Disasters

The beer flight - plenty for my daughter and I to share this flight and a burger

Great place to grab a burger and a beer flight. We tried the following beers: Friday Night, Rhinestone Blonde, Mother Earth and They're After Me. My favorite was the darker beer - They're after me The burger was just ok but the service was excellent - very friendly waitress! Food - 2 stars, beer 3-4 stars, service: 5 stars

Pork nachos

Holy Salt Ballz, I could feel my ankles swelling as I was sitting there eating the Pork Nachos. I really wanted to like them but between the salt on the chips and the salty pork I couldn't eat anymore.

Crab cakes

Came here for dinner and drinks and loved it! We each had a stellar IPA and the pork tacos. They were fantastic! All the TV's were full of current games- this place would be an awesome game night spot. Cant wait to come back and try something new.

Thai Red Curry Chicken

In town for a couple days & found the Ale House on Yelp. Reviews & pictures looked solid so gave it a shot and enjoyed it. The restaurant is located in downtown San Angelo along an area of buildings that have some history. The location appears to be an old firehouse and the decor is simple but works. Asked my server Barbara what her recommended dishes would be & she provided a few (including their monster cheese burger which sounded great) but I opted for the Thai Red Curry Chicken & Shrimp with the Duck Wing appetizer. Asked for the wings to be cooked a little longer because I prefer them crispy and they came out perfect! Hadn't tried duck this way prior but I really liked these - the green curry sauce was delicious! Unfortunately, my main course came out just after my appetizer plate so by the time I started to eat it, it wasn't as hot as I would've liked but the ingredients worked well together and I enjoyed the meal. Service was good. I was able to get drink refills & napkins as needed. If I'm ever back in the area, I may have to try that cheese burger next time!!!

Cheddar Blanket Burger!

The place had a great atmosphere. Friendly prompt service. I will definitely come back to try something different. P.s. Do not get the cheddar blanket if you don't love cheese. Because that's just what it is! So soooooo delicious!

Pork nachos! Yum!

Nice place with good beer, good food, and good service. We really enjoyed the pork nachos (yum!) and a 7-layer paradise. Service was quick and friendly, and the bartender knew how to make a good drink.

Salmon with garlic mash, delicious!

Great food and service. One of the best salmon entrees that I've ever had. We also had the berry cobbler which was delicious.

Yes, it's a brewery, but it's also much more than that. It's a full menu restaurant. Steaks, fish, burgers, appetizers, salads. It's not your ordinary bar or brewery food - the food is really top notch, and so is the service. They carry other brewers' beers, but they also have their own on tap. At the time of my visit, they had two IPA's, an amber, and a blonde on tap that were brewed in house. I opted for the Rhinestone Blonde - crisp, light, and refreshing. The atmosphere: it really seems more like a restaurant than a typical brewery that just happens to serve food. As I said above, it's not typical frozen bar food poured out of a bag, and into the fryer. The menu items are creative, fresh, and include high quality ingredients. I ordered the portabella mushroom burger ($11) and added avocado for an extra $1. The giant, juicy mushroom was served on a bed of fresh mixed greens and topped with a gorgonzola cheese that gave it a really good but subtle smoky taste. The bun was a lightly toasted pretzel bun. The bun was light, soft, and airy, just a *tad* too salty for my tastes - but my taste palette for salt has waned over the years, so I'm sure it would be good for most people. I added broccoli for my side. It was cooked perfectly, seasoned well and very tender. The service: My server Hannah, and everyone else I encountered were very friendly and provided excellent service. Don't think of this place as just a brewery folks - think of the place as somewhere you want to go for a meal. It's that good! Flights: you can get four 5 oz samples for $7.

Good food. Friendly people. I would go here to pretend I was still in Portland Oregon. An oasis of sanity.

Large portions for the money but the flavor of the ribeye could have been a little more intense. We will try again.

I don't do 5 stars or 1 star reviews based on friendships, free items or any other reasons. Being I'm a good sport, I am here on a second visit against my choice. My 1st visit 2 weeks ago was going to be my last. We arrived at 5pm and only a few other couples were here. The place started filling up around 5:30pm so keep that in mind. I ordered steak quesadillas with a mango margarita. Our waitresses were friendly and checked on us regularly. The restaurant was clean, ample seating with a fun music vibe. My quesadilla was a bit salty but I still enjoyed my dinner. Chefs often use a bit of extra salt to wake up flavor profiles. My husband enjoyed his enchiladas w/beans and rice and a coke 0. When we got home we got to thinking why our bill was $62.24. I called and spoke with the mgr, he pulled our ticket# up and noticed our waitress added a $12.00 item onto our ticket when it should have been on our friend's ticket and he apologized for her mistake. $50.24 should have been our total. Apology accepted and we left it at that. Please check your tickets before giving your card to be ran at any restaurant. I struggled with giving 3 or 4 stars so you can see my choice above.
