You would not think that a city as small as San Angelo would have a place of this caliper. The on tap beer and rotational beer selection are excellent. Food wise, the straight up cheese burger and pulled pork nachos are probably my favorite so far. But I have not found anything that I do not like on the menu. read more

Stopped by Zero One for dinner the day after Thanksgiving, as we were already tired of eating leftovers. It was a great choice! There was a wait when we arrived around 7, but our party of 5 was accommodated at a bar height table on what used to be a live music stage. No problem with that, since we were able to be seated right away. Our waitress was chipper and friendly and made everything sound like it was no problem. She genuinely seemed to enjoy her job and took good care of us. The menu offers a wide variety of food at a wide variety of prices. We all enjoyed the calamari to start, as well as salmon, a salad, the sausage plate, and my husband and I split the pork belly burger and added a side of (really delicious!) broccoli. I can only attest to the burger, but it was excellent. I loved the pimento beer cheese! I will say, the pork belly was pretty gross as it was all fatty. Not a single piece of "meat" to be found, so the texture was gummy and just didn't work on the burger. We don't eat pork belly often, but this didn't seem right. I enjoy working here and I absolutely love the environment and the food! I highly recommend coming in and trying our delicious and varied selection of bottled and draft beers from all over the world! All in all kinda disappointing. Nice place, but waitress seemed like she really didn't want to wait on us. No kids menu. Quest dip was lukewarm and chilled to glop quickly. $4 for a few sad looking grapes, strawberries, and apples as a side. Blanket burger's gimmicky. Burnt cheese was good, but burger itself was SUPER dry and bland. Really good sweet potato fries and my husband really enjoyed his turkey sandwich. So we went for great beers and that we got. We went back several times. What surprised us most was the martini skills. Can't remember the female bartenders name other than dark hair, skinny and tattoos but she makes great martinis!! Plus the price is amazing! Lots of TVs, great atmosphere, clean and nice bathrooms. Food is great, enjoyed the wings and they have a great variety. If I were them id try to extend the bar and add more TVs. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. Been here a couple of times. Wait staff is very rude. Food is mediocre. Even talked to a manager and they refused to serve us after we complained. There are so many choices of good food in San Angelo that I wouldn't waste my time on this place. read more

The beer selection here is awesome and the prices are decent. We've never been on a night when they had live music, so I can't say anything about the "bar scene" but the food we've eaten has also been great. Went here with a buddy of mine days before leaving San Angelo... Big mistake! I should have gone here much earlier in my stay in San Angelo. I wasn't there for the beer selection so I can only speak for the food and the service. Both of which were excellent. It doesn't feel like a place that should be in West Texas, coming from the California Central coast it feels more like a Restaurant/Bar that would work there, but it's a nice find in Texas. read more

Sad is the person who takes Bianca O's review seriously. Anyone who eats cotton candy must have a primitive palate and enough time on her hands to give shotty reviews. As for I, I quite enjoy Zero One. The place is only getting better! I love the variety of dishes on the menu. And yes Zero One has changed the menu up in the last year or so, but why complain? New dishes were added. Like The Thai Red Curry Chicken. Delicious! One must go and try that meal out. That is perhaps my favorite. Portion size is great too. Sometimes I cannot finish my curry. Each person has his or her favorite dish and none is greater than the other. Also, I would recommend dining out on the weekends, usually Zero One will have an awesome special; one time I went they had shark for a special. The staff is really friendly. I never had a problem with a rude server or bartender. If you go there regularly they will sure to remember you, which is nice. I love going in and having the really bubbly bartender, Liz, greet me. Feels like family. Definitely two thumbs up for Zero One Ale House. read more

Our MUST GO restaurant here. The brew house burger is huge and perfect in every way. We are moving soon, and this was the one restaurant in town, we had to go to one more time. This is the one, that is going to haunt us. The potato balls are incredible. Mashed potato taste with a crunchy outside. They have literally the BEST sweet tea in town. I Originally posted this under the review for River Valley as this was the only listing I could find for the location. Now that I have the new spot located I am posting here, too. I am huge fan of eating locally. I really try to never eat in a chain restaurant and I always try to support local establishments. That said, there's a limit on just how far I am willing to go to continue to support my town. That limit is reached with this joint. The last several times I have been in, there has been an issue with the food. Not the service, however, just the food. My daughter ordered the bratwurst and pepper sandwich - one half of the sandwich had no brat at all. My wife got a turkey, avacado sandwhich - they forgot the honey mustard which made it bland. I got the fried brie sandwich and it came with things on it that weren't supposed to be and things that were supposed to be not. I also had a burger that was miscooked. Wife and mother-in-law were served the smallest porkchops anyone has ever seen (though this was rectified by Tim, the Bartender Extraordinaire, who recognized ths was not their normal faire) Each time that our orders were wrong it was a time that the Head Chef, Samantha, wasn't there. It got to the point that I wouldn't order my fav (the reuben) if she wasn't there just to ensure that it got done correctly. Now I have heard that they have let Sam go. So, if I am to understand this properly, the only time the menu was correctly prepared is when Samantha was there and they have released her. Now there's no telling what the hell will end up on a plate because they damn sure couldn't get it right without her. They've seen the last dollar they'll get out of me. I am leaving the Orginal Review up here to show just how far things deteriorated. 04/14/2012 I have eaten at this restaurant four or five times since they've re-opened under the new management. The first week they were having some growing pains with getting the staff up to speed but since then I've had no troubles! Samantha is the executive chef and I have eaten at her restaurants before and always been impressed. Tim behind the bar is a great asset, as well. The apppetizer list is great and I recommend the the BBQ Pork Nachos. Superb. As well, the Over The Top French Fries are worth mentioning; cheddar, bacon, sour cream and scallions. Who could ask for more. The fries have a nice crunch on the outside and soft inside - just the way I like 'em! Sam has always made a fabulous Reuben and I am still not disappointed. Brewed Brat and Peppers on a roll is great. If you consider yourself a burger fan you MUST try to Cheddar Bacon Blanket burger. They PILE the cheese on while still on the grill and allow it to melt down over the patty resulting in a 1.5" halo of cooked cheese surrounding the meat on the bun. Not Your Mama's Pot Roast comes with good meat on the bone. If you've never sucked the marrow from a well-cooked beef bone you need to try it! Doesn't get better than that. The Best Wurst plate trio is a killer! Whoever came up with the Deep Fried Grilled Brie Sandwich needs a medal. Imagine a Monte Cristo stepped up a notch and you'll have the answer. Next to try is the Deep Fried PB&J! I've tried all the deserts and love 'em! The selection of 7-Layer Paradise, Mississippi Mud Cake, and Peach Streusel Topped Bread Pudding make it worth the trip alone. The atmosphere is casual but refined and is a tick up for San Angelo. There is a little caveat for those of you with a penchant for the brew: This is the best beer selection in town! PERIOD. 20 or so on tap and several dozen more in the cases. I recommend this as a good stop for anyone interested in a great place to eat with a better beer selection! read more

Very impressed with this place. Was here on work for a few days and it was the first bar in San Angelo that had a decent craft beer selection AND an excellent burger. Had the Brew House Burger with jalapeños and sweet potato fries, paired with their in-house pale ale - delicious. I will definitely be back when I'm in San Angelo again. read more

I came here to burn some time while family drove from CA. I had the fish & chips plate which was really good accompanied with a bruxelles beer, weihenstephaner hefewiezen, and a pinkus munster bottled beer - all great tasting as I past a few hours. We just arrived in San Angelo and so many military friends recommended this place to us. My husband wanted to come right away but I was hesitant because the food didn't look appetizing to me after looking it up on Yelp. We ended up coming in for lunch on a weekday. Seated and greeted right away. Menu is not large, so it didn't look appetizing. Ordered the crab cakes for appetizer and a Cesar salad for my entree. The Cesar salad was over dressed and very large. It was okay, wouldn't order it again. But we have gone back and I've order the crab cake as an entree since it comes with a salad and a delicious dressing! Ask for the dressing on the side, because they tend to over dress the salads. read more

Great food, drink and usually service... but be careful of expecting fast service when it is busy. The Thai Chicken Curry is surprisingly amazing, though a bit spicy. Had the salmon with a salad and garlic mashed potatoes. Was good but not worth the money I paid. I've made more flavorful salmon and potatoes at home. Some of the Food is overpriced in my opinion. YUM YUM! Had the Buffalo Blue Burger and inhaled it. Delicious! What a wonderful concept.. It's the perfect food - hot wings meet cheese burger in a happy flavor fest. Then I had the Chocolate Almond Espresso Cake...the slice was HUGE!!! And wonderfully, richly delicious. I also tried some of my friend's Mississippi Mud Cake and it was great too. Great place, great staff, great food and great beer. Been here a few times, with the family and on a date and each time it's a pleasure. The seared tuna is my favorite, light but full of flavor. Only thing I'm not a fan of is the hops salted calamari. It didn't really do it for us but everything else was on point! I highly recommend zero one! read more
