I am floored right now. It really takes a lot for me to leave a one star review, but Zerorez and their dishonest practices earned it. I was a repeat customer of theirs until today. I gave Zerorez two very specific tasks on the phone last week, which I was told yes absolutely, and given an approximate quote. I needed a spot treatment for where my toddler dumped a half a bottle of baby shampoo on the carpet upstairs, and needed four antique Turkish rugs cleaned. They quoted me $140. When the technician arrived, he said they don't do extractions upstairs and had the gal to suggest I replace the carpet. After that, he told me the rugs needed to be cleaned offsite for $5/sf which would have been close to $1000 give or take. It seems like Zerorez tells everyone yes, even when the answer is much different to take advantage of people who have waited so long for service. Had I know this on the phone I would have shopped around, and found someone who was upfront and able to clean an upstairs carpet as well. To lie to me to try and swindle me out of an extra $800-$900 is terrible. I will never return, and will never recommend them again. Shameful. Try being honest with your customers upfront so we can make a decision to go elsewhere. read more

Zero Rez? More like nothing but residue. My carpet was soaking wet and we kept off of it for 48 hours literally sleeping in the living room. When dried, carpet was crunchy, matted and it has gotten dirtier than how it was before we got it cleaned within weeks. I can't stand looking at it anymore and I can't figure out if I should even allow them back in my house to "CORRECT" their problem. I don't want soggy carpets and camping in the living room for 2 more days. Their customer service wanted to teach me how carpets work and how traffic patterns are created when we walk on it. Like wow! that's lie rocket science level information. Carpets wears in areas where you walk. Like who knew? So disgusted and upset with myself to have chosen them! read more

I do not recommend. We had them out to clean a sectional. Technician left a huge mess. Process of cleaning left a white residue over our lvt floor that is still it gone 24 hours later. Technician made no attempt to clean up after themselves or protect the floor. Receptionist said it was steam from the process or perhaps overspray. It's like my medium brown floors have been white washed. Paid for the entire sectional to be cleaned. I guess that means just the front. The entire back of the couch was skipped. I have had sectionals cleaned by various companies over the years. Never have I had to spend hours cleaning up the mess after one leaves. read more

We have used Zerorez for a couple years now, mainly to get our carpets done. This review is on a job done on our master bath travertine floors. We had a plumbing issue where black water had backed up into all of our bathtubs, including the shower drain in our master bath. The black water was clear, but for sure it's still sewage. The black water overflowed the shower floor and onto the bathroom flooring and had reached the carpet. My husband called Zerorez and they came on time at 10am. The fellow was nice and very knowledgeable and refused to sterilize the carpet d/t the possibility of mold/mildew brewing underneath the carpet - a wet carpet would just facilitate their growth even more. I was very very pleased by this info!! We went on discussing the bathroom flooring and shower floor, toilet room floor and underneath the vanity sink. He said he would sterilize it, using a special solution that was environmentally safe - again I was very pleased. Since the grout was porous and didn't want any more microbes living in the grout, I agreed to him sealing the travertine. Maybe 2 hours (roughly) went by and he was done!! I occasionally checked on the job, twice. I remember seeing fans all over the floor. By noonish or so he was done!! Great!! An hour goes by and I go check out the bathroom floor and step all over it. It felt the same, couldn't tell if there was a sealant coat over the travertine floor. I called the company and a woman answered saying it would take 6 hrs to dry. "Really? I'm stepping all over the floor right now and it's only been an hour or so, and the floor looks and feels completely dry!!" I've spoken to others who were somewhat more familiar with sealing the floors and agrees that it can dry quickly. So 2 weeks passes by because carpet needs to be changed. I return to the bathroom and looked under the vanity....dust bunnies!! No he didn't clean underneath the vanity like he said he would!! It doesn't take 2 weeks for that much dust to collect under there, and the master bedroom/bathroom has not been used since before the plumbing issues. I doubt now whether the job was done correctly. Maybe took short cuts??? I don't know, but I feel so unsure about how CLEAN my bathroom really is! read more

Eric did a great job with quality and efficiency most notably around the staircase on the front ends of the steps where dirt collects the most. Photos were taken immediately after cleaning but the aftermath 6hours after drying was even better. Looking forward to using my carpet for as long as they will last until the time comes to replace altogether. Cleaning carpets older than 10 years, I don't expect any company to bring them back to the way they were when they were first bought. In this case, Teflon additive wouldn't help on areas I know will still have aged wear no matter how well it was cleaned. Otherwise an excellent job worth repeating again in the future. read more

The first time I had a service with Zerorez, it was great. The technician was polite, professional and competent. Carpets came out astonishingly clean. I believed in their business model as I didn't want chemicals on my carpets. I wrote a stellar review. This time was terrible. Not sure if it is a process issue or training but our lighter carpet didn't even look like it had been cleaned. For the other rooms, it's impossible to tell as the carpet is darker. I went over some areas on the light carpet with a small handheld cleaner that I thought looked dirty. Especially bad were the edges against a marble floor and some areas that just looked like they were missed. I complained, they asked for pictures and I sent them. Didn't get a timely response. Anyway here is the color of the water that came out of the carpet . Very disappointing Zerorez. I hope you improve your training or process. read more

Luis and his crew were really great and respectful while in my home. However, the coordination of their services by their administrative office was horrible and insulting. My appointment was for Friday morning between 8-10. I explained that I was on the second floor of a condo development and they would not be able to pull their truck right up to my home. I even made arrangements to have them get as close as possible. Luis arrived on time but was not able to provide the service because he was not equipped with a portable cleaner to get to my unit. I took two hours off of work to have the service but was unable to receive it in any fashion. I was rescheduled for Saturday but the time frame doubled since it was later in the day. The crew arrived in the middle of the four-hour window and were done by 3:00. Zerorez compensation for me losing two hours of work the day before and giving up half my Saturday for rescheduling the appointment I should have had on Friday? $20. The overspray from the upholstery preparation hit the glass top of an end table & had to be removed with acetone. Stick with Stanley Steamer. We had our carpets cleaned today by Zerorez. This our second year using their service. Josh and Trey were friendly, honest, polite and extremely professional. They introduced themselves, explained the process, went over pricing, asked about any "problem areas" and worked quickly (not rushed) and diligently. They pointed out any potential issues to my husband and explained their solution. They even mopped the floor of our entryway to clean any footprints when they left! Wish I had looked at reviews prior to the poor quality of work. Carpet is soaked and will take 2-3 days to dry; spots remained and noticed a couple more new ones. Very disappointed!! I have used this company's services for the past 3 years. Prior to today, the carpets were cleaned well and the staff respectful. We chose the company because the ad says you gets spots out. We were to pay $123 to get one room cleaned. When the technician arrived, I immediately showed him the spots that needed cleaning. After spending only 10m on the carpet, all spots were not clean. If I paid an additional $ 80 then another product could be used to help with cleaning. Ridiculous. Buyer Beware! This appears to be a company all about the up-charge. I went in for the 3 room deal. We only have carpet in 2 rooms so we opted for them to count our area rug as a 3rd room. We prepped the rooms so that very little had to be moved and cleared the floors of the closets. On arrival I'm told the walk in closet in my master will be the cost of another ROOM!. This closet is 6' x 8' and a triangle shape, very little work there to do. In the master, I had two bed side tables that would have been no issue to move over and clean under... nope, left them untouched. In the 2nd bedroom, the closet is an open nook, not a walk in closet. The guy closed the sliding closet door and ignored it. Needless to say, my search for my preferred flooring cleaning company will continue. read more

I have tried them all, but this is definitely the WORST. I admit they did a satisfactory job on the carpet. BUT they left a big oil stain on my custom drive way. I even asked the guy if his truck leaks oil as it absorbs very quickly and he said only a little water. Zerorez came out a couple times to clean it without success. My carpets look awsome! I was worried cause my carpets had some dark stains; food and dirt. The guys actually were able to come earlier, and it worked with my schedule! Very nice men , professional looking came right on time. I told him my rooms were bigger than 10x10 (max size they consider 1 room) and that if my living room and dining room counted as 3 rooms, that was fine. (Cause I had scheduled for my bedroom to be cleaned as well) he said it would be fine and so he did my master bedroom hallway living room and dining room all for the quoted price. there was two men it didn't take much longer than an hour and my carpet has no stains. I was surprised at how fast they were done. I They did give me a tip to bring out any fans and open up all the windows and doors to speed up the drying process this definitely helped. Very VERY disappointed!! We had the carpets cleaned thirty eight days ago. Since then, I remodeled the master bath. I kept moving blanket down to protect the carpet. However my Drywallers spilled something on the blanket, and it made a spot on the carpet. My wife chose your company because your ad said you gets spots out. So we basically paid $123 to get one spot out. When your guys arrived, I immediately showed them that spot. He didn't say there'd be ANY problem. After spending 15 to 20 minutes on the carpet, he said the spot might come back up unless I paid an additional $100! Ridiculous. I had Zerorez come out to my house this past Monday - noticed on Tuesday that a spot under my couch was missed and called them back on Tuesday - shared photos and was told that Nick would be contacted. Never got a call back so called again this morning - got someone else besides Doug - put on hold - she came back on the line and said I had lots of bleach spots etc (which Nick and I discussed on Monday). We had been moving some furniture around and found we had termites in the interior walls. So, having to move even more furniture around, we decided to have the carpets cleaned while the furniture was removed. I contacted Zerorez to take advantage of their special for 3 rooms plus a hallway. The tech came right at the beginning of the scheduled time frame. He asked a few things and then explained the process, etc. He set up his van and began to work at the furthest point, working his way back toward the van. I have no complaints about the tech, nor his process. He moved a couple of pieces of furniture to include cleaning underneath. The cleaning process took about an hour. We took care of the payment, and off he went. He gave me several pairs of booties to wear. It was a warm day and it took about 24 hours for the carpet to completely dry. Our beige carpets are about 25 years old. We have only had them cleaned 2 times before. There are definite traffic areas and places where some kitchen splatter had soiled the carpets. For the most part, the carpets looked great following Zerorez. And for the most part, the soiled spots were not visible for many days. But, as the tech has explained, their process cleans the upper fibers of the carpet and don't clean deeply into the stains down by the carpet backing. It has been about 3 weeks and some spots have reappeared, but nearly all are no longer visible or greatly diminished. This compares to our previous cleaning when the spots reappeared in full strength within a week. This has been our best experience with carpet cleaning. Had a couch cleaned by Zerorez and it looked the same before and after. Save your $250 because they are in and out in 15 minutes and don't do any kind of stain treatment. There were still still stains and water marks and it just looked like absolutely nothing had been done. Maybe that is what they are going for, but I was hoping for a couch that looked cleaner. We are very grateful that we were able to get next day appointment because we were dog sitting and on the last day, our neighbors dog, whom is usually really well behaved and has never in the 5 years we've dog sat him, had an accident. But!....an hour and a half after we returned from a walk, he relieved himself on the carpet. We were horrified because despite us having a young kid, we are very neat and tidy. No shoes, no clutter, no mess, no pets and never had we had a pet pee on our carpets. And of course, the exact spot he peed on, is where I do my home workouts on. Even though he only tinkled in one room, we decided to do high traffic rooms while they were out; our family room, master bedroom, bonus room and the staircase. We ended up adding hallways after we spoke to our tech, Jose. Like we did last time, we removed nearly all the furniture in each of the rooms. The only thing in our bedroom was our bed. Our family room was bare; Sofas, end tables, coffee tables, large potted plants were removed and all gym equipment was removed from the bonus room. We wanted them to do a very thorough job and not have them going around furniture. Jose even commented our carpet was in great shape and said his job today would be very easy, which was great. We had hoped since it was easy, he'd take more care and time into the job itself rather than having to move things. We have a multi-platform staircase that has two returns. Like they did last time, they used these plastic corners to protect the wood and wall corners as the hoses are brought throughout the house. However, the one at the base of the stairs kept slipping so the hose was rubbing against the wood and made a few marks. After I brought it Jose's attention, he tried to rectify it but he didn't have another protector to use to wrap around the other side of the post. I initially saw the bottom one but looked at the other staircase posts, they could've used two in each corner / area to really protect the wood but again, he didn't have enough. In the big scheme of things, It really isn't a big deal but what's the harm in giving your techs more than 5 protectors so in situations like this, he can protect the customers home from ANY damage, even if it may be minor. A customer should not have to point that out and precautions should be made for the client always. To be clear, Jose was very kind and did a pretty good job. We are happy we made his job easier with the upfront work we did and we really appreciated his efforts. I'm just disappointed that the same precautions that were taken last time to protect our staircase were not done this time around. Also, we had two technicians last time where one really helped navigate the hoses so there wasn't any contact with walls and the like so without the 2nd person, I could feel the level of service / care was different this time around. Also, the stairs last time was cleaned from end to end - the entire width of each step. Upon further inspection, there were several where he didn't even get to the edge of the staircase, I could tell because it wasn't even damp. So..pretty disappointed w/ the level of service this time around. No regrets getting my carpets cleaned but might shop around next time. They don't guarantee the removal of urine in carpet so I'm not confident the smell will be gone after all this but at least we got the rest of the carpets are cleaned. If we need to replace that padding, we will work with a company to do that. But FYI, they don't guarantee it. They have a 20% special right now so for all the work, the final price was $230. Praying the urine smell is gone once the carpets are dry. Thank you for coming out so quickly to get our job done. Much appreciated. read more

I called this company because I was very happy to work with one who uses eco friendly products. I called to get someone out and they quoted me "$59 one room special, plus $2/step (was getting my stairs done) and $39 for an area rug". Great! That sounded wonderful, so I had the technician come out (who was really great and loved him) but told me that my area rug would be $275 for BASIC shampooing/spray nothing deep cleaned. My total for the room, stairs and my area rug was over $530. Although I was very happy with the efficiency I was really taken aback by the price and the total lack of communication as I received almost two completely different pieces of information. The truth: Zerorez sells their leads to third party cleaning companies. They do not disclose this when you call. When I called I was lead to believe that a Zerorez employee would be cleaning my carpets. Today a man showed up in an unmarked mini van with a mobile cleaning machine that he drug through my home. The black tires left marks on my white tile floors everywhere. The carpet he "cleaned" was left dirty and very wet. The Machine he used does not have the power to create hot enough steam or the suction needed to remove the water. And there is no such thing as zero soap. He used soap, plenty of it. Lastly the $299 I was quoted for 7 rooms was $828 when he was done. I had to pay him to get him to leave. The receipt came from MA Home services. No relation to Zerorez. Tomorrow a new company is coming to redo the entire job. I would rather pay again than have either of these companies come back. Lesson learned NEVER ALLOW 3RD PARTY COMPANIES IN THE DOOR. Did a great job and did it quickly. It was priced right for the job they did. I like that they don't use any smelly chemicals and everything dried super fast. I called Zerorez yesterday for a quote and carefully explained the dimensions of my small (564 sq ft) condo. They quoted me approx $163. They said that they had an opening for the next day, so I took it. Two guys showed up and didn't stop trying to up-sell me from the second they arrived. One had a brief look around and told me that there was urine in the carpet. LOL! The carpet is 3 years old, never a dog or cat inside, and is strictly shoes-free. He kept trying to add stuff on even through I told him repeatedly that I wanted a basic cleaning. Finally quoted me $249 for the whole place. He pulled EVERY hard-sell tactic in the book! He wouldn't answer my questions or give me a straight answer even when I directly asked for prices of things. Finally, in exasperation, I told them just to clean the living/dining area (16 x 12 feet exactly), and they would charge just over $150 for it. As he starts bringing the equipment in there is a large tank of a chemical that they were intending to spray. I had previously explained that I didn't want any chemicals, just a cleaning/extraction. His response was out-of-bounds rude, and he said something like, "Well, you claim to have used us before but you don't even know that we use orange-peel extract." Dude, don't call me a liar, especially since the people on the phone were able to pull up the records of you cleaning my last condo. It was hard keeping my cool with these guys, but I did. I never raised my voice or used harsh language. When he said that he could have cleaned the hall for $10, I said great, let's do that. Then he said that it's too late because he "already called it in." What? Then he actually said, "Never mind, we're not going to do this job." So, because you couldn't "work" me into agreeing to a ridiculously expensive job and not answer my questions they actually drove away. I have never dealt with such rude employees before. I had a decent cash tip for each set aside, plus was willing to pay up to $200 and these clowns wasted half a day of my time. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!
