I needed to get my carpets and a mattress cleaned as I was moving out one place and moving into a new one. I called ZeroRez two weeks before the date that I needed and they were able to schedule me for the exact day that I wanted. As it turned out, a week later, I found out I needed to change my appointment. ZeroRez was able to change my appointment for a day earlier make the accommodations that I needed and have a technician out at the same time that we had scheduled for the day before. My carpets look awsome! I was worried cause my carpets had some dark stains; food and dirt. The guys actually were able to come earlier, and it worked with my schedule! Very nice men , professional looking came right on time. I told him my rooms were bigger than 10x10 (max size they consider 1 room) and that if my living room and dining room counted as 3 rooms, that was fine. (Cause I had scheduled for my bedroom to be cleaned as well) he said it would be fine and so he did my master bedroom hallway living room and dining room all for the quoted price. there was two men it didn't take much longer than an hour and my carpet has no stains. I was surprised at how fast they were done. I They did give me a tip to bring out any fans and open up all the windows and doors to speed up the drying process this definitely helped. Buyer Beware! Watch out for the bait and switch once they get to you house. I ordered the online 3 room plus a bonus room for $135. When you book you mark the box that clearly states 3 rooms plus an additional room for free for $135. Then they take you to add ons. I added on hallway, added stairs, added a love seat and sofa cleaning. The amount was $520 or so, not a bad deal for them for 1-2 hours work. Quite lucrative. The guy arrives and walks the house. He then starts fumbling his words and I knew something was up. He said that there would be an additional charge today for the 4th room. They would give me the cheapest service for free and would need to charge me more for the 4th room service. There is a specific tab on the website that said 3 rooms and (no fourth room is a credit). I clicked the 3 rooms plus 1 bonus room. Extremely clear!! Then you pick add on services (not called rooms). I told him it was very clear on the website. He said he is sorry and that they are having problems with the website orders and there is nothing he could do. He said the office was supposed to call me before he came to clarify. NO CALL! When I asked him to call the office, he said it is a waste of time they will say the same thing and then he asked me what I wanted to do? I asked if it was going to cost me more than the $520 estimate and he said yes. So I said no way, and he said fine and walked out the door without even a hesitation. Clearly this scam is common and leaving appointments is a common trend for him. Meanwhile I took the afternoon off from work to be home for the cleaning. What a waste of my time and wages. Only one person, didn't tell us when we made appointment they don't move heavy furniture, sofas, chairs, etc., just clean around it. My wife and I moved what we could and put it back. Scratched wood flooring where it connects to carpet. When carpet meet other flooring and a door was closed, he didn't ask, just left door closed and cleaned up to it. I don't write reviews because I usually don't have time, but I wanted to point out the poor service that I had from Zerorez. I have used them in the past and they did a great job at cleaning my carpets and getting pet urine out of my carpet. So I contacted them to have them clean my couch (which they have also done successfully in the past) to get rid of urine smell. They came out and told us that their cleaning and the use of a special disinfectant (at additional cost) would take down the smell, but might not get all of it out. We proceeded, hoping that what they said was true. It was completely false, and now my couch smells worse than before. I contacted their company to see what could be done to help our situation. They proceeded to tell me that there was nothing that they could do and then lied and said that they told us that the smell wouldn't come out and that their upcharge disinfectant was needed for "safety issues." If they knew that there was nothing that could be done for my couch, why didn't they just say that up front? Why would they continue to sell their product if it wouldn't work? Why would they upsale on additional services if they knew that also wouldn't work? The reason - they practice poor customer service. And to reinforce that poor customer service, they didn't even offer in any way to help me solve my still unresolved, and now worse, problem. At the very least, they should have refused to do the work. And since they already did the work, they should have tried to remedy the problem or even offer a credit since they didn't do the job that I paid them for. Instead, they swindled us. Obviously this is only my experience, but it looks like they're racking up more and more just like mine in their comments. Do not use this company. Go anywhere else. read more

I hired these guys to clean my carpet. The guy comes, sprays carpet and simply vacuums without addressing stains on carpet whatsoever. He finished quick, I asked him if he could try to get a particular stain and he said he wouldn't cause it was "permanent". He left and I had to clean it myself, took me ten minutes. The technician, Mason, was unprofessional. When he wanted to charge me over my quoted price (unrelated to measurements) he says to me, "I work on commission. You're taking money out of my pocket." I will not be pressured into paying over my quoted price. Where exactly my money goes is irrelevant. Outside of that issue, the grout that was "cleaned" in my kitchen looks exactly the same as it did prior. I paid for absolutely nothing. I had the carpet cleaned in my large family room at 9 am by Estevan. The carpet is very clean and smells great. I had moved all of the furniture out except for three recliners, a large sofa and two heavy tables. I had been told that I had to move out the furniture myself. I had had a pipe leak in my home that had stained some of the carpet and the repair company had set up the carpet cleaning for me. I am very happy with the carpet cleaning done by Zerorez and will have them do other work later. Wow...I should have read Yelp first before hiring Zerorez San Diego. Heard their February upholstery special, had only a recliner, so agreed to min charge of $118. Scheduled for end of February, weather was chilly. Day of appointment, they arrived end of day, said they had a big job, no problem, just a recliner here. The custom made Lazy Boy recliner has a tear on sitting cushion scheduled to get fixed but wanted it cleaned really well. It was getting dark and cold so they finished in short order. When dry, I noticed some spots that needed to be retouched. No problem they said we have a 30 day guarantee, sent pictures, rescheduled for following week. Just received call, and they canceled saying chair was worthless and service manager said no!?!? The retouch was no where near the torn cushion area but other areas. You could tell the guy did a rush job. I asked is this how you do business? He said, "sorry"! I am not surprised, my expectation is low when dealing with younger folks. Why did they commit to redo then cancel? Oh well, I had apartment manager and a few neighbors wanting to see my experience because they were looking for "good company" to do cleaning. Took 2 visits to help correct their damage to my floor; tried to blame it on me or a different comp. First visit was sloppy with.water and dirt splashing 6" up my door and baseboards. The tech wiped 2 sides. When he left I got on my hands and knees a cleaned all sides. On his way out he left wet, dirt on my entrance tile. Chipped my door and wall. Just sloppy work. Second day (needed to correct damage to floor) same tech and new "lead tile" tech came. Tried to blame problem on a different comp or me. CHARGED ME ADDITIONAL MONEY said it wasnt their fault. This is my second time using Zerorez. I did scan through Yelp and read some of the negative reviews, and had I not used them before and had a five-star experience, based on the recent negative reviews, I may not have used them. But I did go ahead and schedule my appointment based off of $129 3 room clean with 4th room free. I know there's the $14 water fee which is fine because even with all of that it comes out to about $150 which is still totally reasonable for cleaning 4 rooms of carpet, two of my rooms are smaller rooms two of them are larger. I opted to add the stairs and I also at the suggestion of John, had my leather sofa cleaned. It was a yellowish-white which I hadn't even noticed because we are here everyday and he cleaned it and restored it back to the truer white. Of course it's not the same white when it came out of the showroom but it is definitely cleaner and whiter than it was before. With the stairs, all of my rooms cleaned and the hallway and sofa, I'm out $283 and I'm completely happy with the service. They were here for an hour and a half- did pre/clean spot treatment, wore and provided foot booties and left no signs of being here except for the clean carpet. Regarding the scheduling and experience with the Zerorez. I did online booking and then had to reschedule- which I did by calling in. All good. On appointment day- John and Dominic called and alerted me about 30 minutes prior to my 8:05 ETA. Which was on point. They were here right on time they took a look at the carpet and fortunately for me there weren't any issues or odors there were some stains that they questioned whether they could get up or not but they worked their little pretreat thing and did the cleaning and by the time they were done my carpets look extremely clean. John did tell me it would be about a 12-hour dry time which was about right. They were out of here by 9:30 and today is the day after and I'm completely happy with all four rooms the stairs, hall and my sofa. Being that he offered the cleaning of my sofa was perfectly fine. I mean these guys have families to feed, zerorez is a business that just like everybody else they're working to stay in business keep people employed these employees have families. Are they trained to upsell, absolutely, it's part of the business. But that's also called offering a service.... they offer the services, we can either accept or decline. I initially decline and John immediately went back to work, wasn't pushy. But on second thought, for $65, (yeah, it's a little pricey) let's have a clean sofa too! This is San Diego it's not cheap to live here and it's not cheap to run a business here. But being they're in the business to clean carpets, floors, furniture, well you can say yes or you can say no. In the cases of people who have horrible carpet, pets, pet pee, pet vomit like all these things on their carpet you know $130 bucks or whatever it's going to take a miracle to clean and deodorize for that price. If they've got to do extra work and do extra deodorizing and do all this extra stuff you gotta be willing to pay for it and not bitch at them because they can't go into every home and provide all of that for free, they wouldn't be able to stay in business. There are some other negative reviews here that I scratch my head about, I don't know what that's all about but I can say my second experience was another good one.
