I wish I could rate this business a 0. They showed up an hour late, quoted us for two people and only one showed up. We asked for 3 hrs total max and they charged us for 3 1/2 hrs. The second person showed up for the last hour but they were on their phone talking loudly while I was trying to work. Plus hardly anything was cleaned. So much was left undone. I found them completely unprofessional, inconsiderate of my time and the fact that I was working at home while they were there and did a very poor job. They were very kind and the person I talked with to schedule the cleaning was great. But the cleaners didn't speak English and didn't do as deep of a clean as I thought they would based on their site. Cabinets shelves were still dusty on the inside, baseboards were dirty, and there was still old soap scum on the walls of the showers. They cleaned the floors and windows beautifully, I just don't think it was worth the $200 I spent. Definitely look elsewhere if you want a truly deep clean on your new home / apartment. read more

UPDATE: over 2 years and we're still using Ana and her team. Ana is so accommodating with scheduling and doesn't pressure us into choosing a specific day/time that we have to stick to which is ideal because our schedules are always changing. The girls usually leave the toilet paper shaped into flowers or folded nicely which I love and they go above and beyond if we accidentally leave a dirty dish or two in the sink or need the couch vacuumed. Any time you make a request Ana makes a note in your client profile so anyone who is assigned your home will know your preferences. ORIGINAL REVIEW: After a year and a half of living in Dallas and 4-5 different home cleaning services tried, we finally found a company that does great work top to bottom. We've used Zesty Maids twice now and will continue to hire them. Both times we returned home the house looked sparkling clean. They don't miss a beat and when we request special attention to the corners and baseboards, they actually follow through (unlike several other companies we've tried in the last). They pay attention to detail (even shaping our toilet paper into little flowers) and you can tell they put in the effort without cutting corners. They use green products so it's a relief to know there's no added toxicity in the home. We have a 2 bedroom / 3 bath / 1 office / 3 story townhome and they charge $125 - middle ground from what we've paid other companies. They send over two cleaners to do the job and, while thorough, they still manage to get the job done quickly. The woman who corresponds with us via email is very friendly and appreciative to have you as a customer. She's responsive and easy when it comes to scheduling. I really want to give them more stars, but I have to be honest about my opinion. I will start off my saying that Ana is great, very receptive, available, and communicates openly and honestly. The docked stars really are for the inconsistency that I have experienced regularly over the last few months. I will be fair and say every time I have communicated with Ana she has rectified the situation, but I still feel that they have some work to do. Two ladies come to clean the place, we had a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment, at it costs $98, and they always do a great job of cleaning. The last 3-4 times we have had issues such as, one time they literally piled on dishes in the dishwasher, and I happened to open it, and I sent Ana a picture saying I wish they just had not put them, because I had to remove all of them and reload the dishwasher. This hasn't happened again. Usually they throw the trash out, and one day they just left it in front of the apartment. I requested that they throw it out as it is against out building policy to have trash bags on the carpet, and next time they did. This last time though, they did not clean a whole 2 rooms of our place. They did not say anything and only when I told Ana this happened she tried to fix it. She came personally the next day to clean it, but I am surprised that this happened anyway. I think the problem has been inconsistencies in the girls who come to clean - a different person each time. Albeit schedules are different, it would probably be best to try to stick with at least one of the same people. Quality of cleaning is great, and we have been using them for almost a year. This has been a nightmare! This cleaning service did not complete the job. I had pictures of a bathtub, toilet, counters, and microwave untouched. I emailed them to resolve the issue and get my money back and the owner proceeded to call me SCREAMING AND CUSSING and then called my previous apartment complex and did the same. I emailed him again and this was the OWNER's response. (See email attached) He then mocked MY job. I've never been more disrespected by a small business owner in my life. Not only did they deny not completing the job, but this is how they respond to an unsatisfied customer. Do not use this service. I feel extremely bad for the staff that has to work under this man. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!! Fair warning. $225 for a deep cleaning for services not rendered down the drain. Owner Ana Paula offered to refund $40 of $225 since "some work" was done. 1) they used bleach and ruined 2 brand new $65 rugs. They advertise natural cleaning products but trust me, clearly bleach is not one of those "Clean" products ~ this is considered mis-representation in a court of law. 2) the following were NOT done: Windows, toilet, dusting of furniture/bed/lamps, floors, still have wood shavings on my kitchen counter tops that they claimed to have cleaned. their vacuum broke so they used mine. Couldn't communicate with the ladies, ZERO English. 3) I offered for the owner to come to my home to validate my issues, to see it for herself, she declined & would rather email about sending 2 new folks out to fix the job the 1st 2 couldnt execute. $0 refused to credit my money back...this is a sham...a scam..they require full money upfront the day before to ensure she gets paid no matter the job done. After having a horrible experience with Uptown Maids, Zesty Maids made up for it! I wanted them to use pine sol on the entire house even though they use other products and they did. Everything was vacuumed under the bed, floors and house smelled amazing. Also, their pricing is wonderful. We have a 2 bed 2 bath, but only want one bedroom 2 bathroom done... they were custom and accommodating. I also loved their website. I sent an email in a panic around 10pm and they got back to me the next morning at 8pm. Very unhappy with the lack of communication with Zesty Maids. We asked for once a month cleaning, the first time was great, they came back in 3 weeks and because we were unable to accommodate them coming in early, we were charged a cancellation fee. I emailed with the owner and asked for a set schedule of dates they were coming. We were in agreement and they again came a week early when we were out of state and did not do a great job, mirrors were not cleaned and the do not move any of the plants to clean underneath. This is the worst service I have ever had. I requested a deep cleaning because we had had a major renovation on the bottom floor of our house. There was a layer of dust on every single thing in our home, and this was discussed prior to cleaning. To begin they were three hours late and not one person could speak English. The estimate for the job was about three hours and they were telling me they were done after about 30 minutes. When I went to check, I realized that all I had done was wipe down the center of countertops and vacuum in the middle of floors. There was still dust on top of everything. When I pointed it out, we ended up having to call the home office where I was treated as if I was bothering them. They spoke to the head cleaning person and she went back with her team to clean some more. After 10 minutes, they said they were done, which, of course the house was still a mess. I went through the same process two more times and then they left. They had only done about 30% of the work I was promised. I then received an invoice and two reminders to pay within 12 hours of an unfinished job. I asked to speak with someone about the bill, and all they did was take a little bit off and send me a new invoice. Do not use this service! read more

When I was pregnant with my second child, I realized I needed help with cleaning my house and enlisted Zesty Maids. I chose a cleaning service instead of a regular housekeeper because I didn't need weekly cleanings and wanted the legal (i.e., bonded and insured) peace of mind. Ana (the owner) has been a pleasure to work with. Because I wanted a customized cleaning schedule, she came to my home to discuss my cleaning needs and found a schedule that worked for me. She sends a crew of 2 cleaners; which is advantageous because our home is large, and I work from home. It takes the crew about 4 hours, where it would take 1 person an entire day (i.e., 8+ hours). Being a green cleaning service is also a plus because I don't have the added expense of them using my cleaning products. After each cleaning I have the opportunity to walk through the house to review their work, and if there are issues, it's remedied immediately. For the times I wasn't able to do a walk-through, if there was a problem, I was able to call Ana. She was always quick to respond and if necessary remedy the situation. read more

Fantastic service! We requested a "deep clean" service - two ladies from zestymaids arrived early and were finished cleaning our home top-to-bottom in 3 hours. I don't how they were able to do that. They even cleaned our appliances, even vacuumed our dog beds - did not expect that. Have to call out their great work: Ticiana and Luiza are outstanding and they deserve a bonus. Zesty Maids is fantastic! With a busy schedule I've been struggling to keep up on the housework. They did a fantastic job cleaning the house paid attention to details like ceiling fans, baseboards, etc. They took the time to make my bed, run the dishes, and take out trash. They went above and beyond what we were expecting! It was a relief to come home to a clean house. Also they use all green cleaning products which was appreciated! I came home to my dishwasher being emptied of dirty dishes. Obviously dirty dishes back in my cabinets and drawers. So I am having to pull everything out of all my cabinets and drawers and wash everything. When I emailed them to say I would not be paying for the cleaning, all I got back is we'll talk tomorrow as payment is owed. No apology. No acknowledgement of how ridiculous of a screw up it was. I hired Zesty Maids to do weekly cleanings in my home. The first time they cleaned they did a good job. The second time they skipped cleaning several areas in my home. They failed to vacuum rugs and furniture or clean the shower. I checked my exterior camera and determined two people were cleaning and they spent an hour and a half in my home. This is the equivalent of $42/hour. It's stealing if you fail to do a job you've been hired to do. read more

I read through some of the reviews and was surprised to see the mixed comments. Is Zesty Maids perfect - no they are not - but are they about as close as a service can get? Yes. Ana does the best job possible while managing a highly changing work force. I wouldn't want to deal with all the personnel issues that she must face daily. In fact that is why I started using the service to begin with. I had a long term nanny/housekeeper for 17 years that had to leave for health reasons. I was not ready to build a relationship with any one again and I have been using Zesty Maids for about 10 months and I'm extremely happy with the service. I have them come every 2 weeks and so far I have had the same lead person Su each time. I loved Brittany but something happened and she was no longer on my team? Yes there is a rolling chain of other workers but Su is there to explain everything so I don't have to. Su is fantastic and I hope that I get to keep her on my day and time long term. Yes some of the transient workers do a better job than others but it is that way with everything - nothing is perfect. If something goes wrong and you make Ana aware of it she will try to make it right and then ensure that it doesn't happen again. She is very responsive. Zesty Maids has definitely "maid" (lol) my life easier and I can count on them to do a thorough and good job. I ask them to use a toilet cleaner that I provide with bleach in it (just funny that way) and they do so without having to be told every time. They remember how to work my electric gate to take the trash out. If I have an extra request they do their best to accommodate me. After all, a house is a dynamic entity and things change all the time. Using a service is not for everyone but as long as you remain flexible a service is the way to go. If there is rigidity in your personality, schedule, or expectations better to find a person dedicated to you. Zesty Maids is an extremely good service option though. read more

We love Zesty Maids! After 15 years, my long term maid retired and I had no idea what to do. I found Zesty Maids on a neighborhood forum. They came to the house and gave me an estimate and we have been using them for 4 months now with complete satisfaction. They send over 2 cleaners which makes the job go twice as fast. They show up on time with all the supplies that they need and always with a smile on their faces. I love the fact that they speak English. My home is the cleanest its been in years! My bathrooms sparkle. They dust all my shutters and windowsills, the hardwood floors look fabulous. They use specific products for marble and granite and all of their products are green, which is a special bonus. We have a lot of antiques and oriental rugs that require special treatment and Zesty Maids handle them with care. We highly recommend Zesty Maids, they are great! read more
