Ambiance/Cleanliness-Real clean, lots of tv's' a counter seating, roomy, clean bathroom, welcoming...bit of personality. I liked it. 5 stars Service-PERFECT. The young gentlemen making pizzas informed me how long the order would take, let me know the progress and checked on me. In conversation, I let him know I was from Tucson and he offered an on-the-house dessert which i did not accept. 5 stars Food-was informed sauce and dough made daily in-house. This review is coming from a long time customer of the Ahwatukee location since 2013 (pease, please start adding basil instead of spinach and fresh mozzarella instead of pizza cheese to Margherita pizzas). I placed my order but realized after that it didn't have those things. I called to see if I could add and even pay extra but it wasn't possible because I used a credit from grub hub.. and there was no way I guess to take a payment otherwise. Ok, no problem. Fast forward to my order being 20 minutes late from the ETA so it's cold. The thin crust is so overcooked that I can't bite into the outer edges. I attempted to rectify through Grubhub, but apparently Zzeeks can't update the app that the order has been complete, so the GH AI is no help. I call Zzeeks again to ask if they can mark the order as delivered, but their system doesn't have that option?? The person I was speaking with asked what the problem was and I explained a late, cold, overcooked pizza. She told me to order a different crust next time. Then a manager got on the line and restated they don't have control over grub hub, I should contact them, and next time I should order in the app.... When I shared I used GH because of a gift card, and that they aren't helpful bc it's an AI he said "oh at least you get to speak to helpful AI, when I get customer service I have to talk to someone from the Middle East (WTF?!) Just a poor experience at this location all around. I like Zzeeks, and I often use the app, but I won't go back to this location and will stick with Venezia's. read more

This might have been the first time ordering non-pizza items from a pizza place! They have so many other good options, maybe next time we will get the pizza. The place is nice inside when picking up the to-go order, with friendly customer service. The packaging was well done, everything seemed hot and fresh. We order the mac and cheese bread bowl-enjoyed the mac, although the bottom of the bowl got soggy and doughty tasting, the crust was good. The cheesy bread and mac and cheese bites were delicious. Fries were really good, caprese salad was decent, although wish they made their own dressing and not packaged. My Caesar salad looked great and fresh, but the packaged Ken's dressing ruined it for me. I would be glad to get the food we enjoyed and try new things! read more

(Can only speak on Detroit Pizza) I've heard this place is great so I decided to give it a try. Saw on the menu they had Detroit style which is my absolute favorite so I was even more stoked. Well, there is nothing "Detroit style" about this pizza besides the rectangular shape.. it's just a very underwhelming personal sized pizza for $20. My wife and I used to live across the street from the Ahwatukee location and frequented there for years. 3 years ago, we moved south of Maricopa and we lost interest in pizza as there's nothing to offer in the way of good pizza within a 35+ mile radius. Recently we started "going back to Zzeeks" but it's a really out of the way trip so it doesn't happen very often, about once a month. We were always pleased with the food at the Ahwatukee location but the last 3 times we ordered Zzeeks it's nothing short of a huge disappointment. 1st of 3 visits (Ahwatukee) - carryout We ordered a large Brooklyn style and 3 orders of garlic bread/toast. They guy who was at the register said we could only get 1 order of garlic toast. Most times we get 3 orders of garlic toast and there's never been an issue. We asked why and his response was "because that's the way it is." 2nd of 3 visits (Ahwatukee) - carryout Again we ordered a large Brooklyn style with Canadian Bacon and double Meatballs. This time it was only 1 order of garlic toast. When we got the pizza, it had about 4 slices of Canadian Bacon and NO meatballs. Instead, we received an order of 8 meatballs in marinara sauce in a separate container. At least the garlic toast was right. The thing about this order, they guy repeated the order back to us correctly. So, within a time of about 1 minute and a distance of 10 feet the order got completely mixed up. 3rd of 3 visits (this time at the Tempe location - wanted to compare results) - carryout Again, we ordered a large Brooklyn style with Canadian Bacon and double Meatballs and 3 orders of Garlic toast. The pizza had a generous portion of Canadian Bacon but had miniscule traces of meatballs. It was obvious they broke apart the meatballs to make them "go further". Like adding ice to a soda to make it reach the top. And the garlic toast... We got 3 pcs less than 3 inches long each. For a $60 price ($57.13 to be exact) and this much disappointment, not to mention the 50-mile one way trip for this adventure, might as well just go to Grimaldi's. At least there I can sit down and get an hour's worth of service and hospitality and what we order will be correct, for pretty much the same price. You know the saying, 3 strikes you're out. It'll be a long time before I even think about going back. It's too bad, I'm in the service industry myself and I really promote local business ethics. But to have this much of a wide-ranging service experience, something is wrong at the core. read more

Great spot! Staff was super nice and pointed out the gluten-free options (pizza + wings). We tried the NY pizza, margherita, and wings -- all phenomenal. Clean restaurant, great service, even the bathrooms were spotless. Paid $123 for 3 orders of wings, a 16" pizza, a gluten-free 12" pizza, and 4 drinks -- easily fed 6 people. Love the Food. GREAT family friendly vibe. There's a tall Bald guy there people call him Zesty, greatest guy ever. He helped us figure out what we wanted, and got the order started and out to us in 15 minutes. The pizza is perfect, crispy flavorful, and PERFECY. You have to try the AZ Lemonades, Breadstick bites and their Bone-In wings, they are all Amazing. I'm coming back again again. He also told us about the 90 cent Sunday wing deal as we were leaving. My dad and I visited this location for a casual birthday dinner recently and the entire experience was less than desirable. No one greeted us for at least 10 minutes after walking in. Then it took the cashier at minimum 15 minutes to key our order, no this is not an exaggeration. Every single item we ordered, the cashier looked confused and had to walk away and ask someone what to do. We asked if we could split sauces on an order of wings and were told yes. So we ordered and gave the two sauces only to be told we couldn't split them minutes later. We asked why we had just been told we could and were brushed off. They then told us if we wanted to split it would be around $6 extra just to have two sauces instead of one and the sauces would be on the side. I asked how they could give me dry rub and he said we could just sprinkle it. Obviously the up charge and side sauce in this case was absurd, so we said never mind, we'd do just one sauce. Someone else walked over and said we could do it. I asked again if we would be charged more and he said no that he was more versed in the system than the other people. He said he was going to ring them in as smaller orders. As the cashier was taking the sauces, I inquired on the costs per "order" and sure enough, it was NOT the same price, it ended being nearly $6 more. The people struggled so bad to put everything we ordered in we basically just said oh well and paid the extra amount because it would have taken forever for them to figure it out. We ordered a salad with croutons, ranch and Italian as well as three pizzas total and two drinks. The order was a to go order at the very end. We intended to eat in but given how long it took to even get them to input the order and the temperature inside the building we decided to take it home. I had to ask for my drink after ordering and was handed a regular cup. I again had to ask for it to all be to go and for a to go cup. We waited inside for the order. It was so hot in there my infant was sweating profusely, even with a stroller fan. The order took nearly and hour to come out. When it did, the salad was missing the dressings and the croutons and was very small for the price. I also wasn't given the two smaller pizzas. If I hadn't double checked everything, I would have left without them. When I asked about the two pizzas (mind you, I still hadn't even stepped away from the checkout counter) the guy looked super baffled and confused. I held out my receipt to show him the order and another lady in the back walked it to me. They had no "to go" Parmesan from what I was told either. The staff was terrible, it was just awful ordering from experience. The food was okay. Would I return to this location, absolutely not. Would I try another location again, sure, I would. I can't believe in the 9 years I've lived in Tempe I've never tried Zzeeks! Last night I had a MAD pizza craving and for a hot sec I was considering making pizza LOL. After that idea passed, bf and I decided to skip the usual pizza chains and order local! The website could definitely use some updating but it functions and we were able to order our pizza online. We ordered a 16" Brooklyn style Half Grand Slam, Half Bacon Cheeseburger pizza for $26.49 (+ taxes, and tip, total was about $32). Love that there are healthier options like gluten free and cauliflower crust, even keto sauces! Love the different, creative pizzas they offer! Love that we were able to order half/half of two different pizzas! The 16" pizza was HUGE; probably a chain-restaurant large or extra large. The pizza was LOADED with fresh toppings that the weight of my thin Brooklyn crust could barely handle it (not a problem for me). I've never seen a pizza this loaded with toppings, and freshly cut, fresh veggies too!! The onions and peppers are little cubed squares rather than the usual large slices which is nice and you get some in every bite! The bacon on the bacon cheeseburger pizza added a nice saltiness to the meaty pizza. What I don't love is the price; $32 for a 16" pizza?? As bf put it, you could get a large stuffed crust supreme pizza from Pizza Hut for ~$25! But, you pay for the quality! And there are pizza deals by the slice so we may opt to do that next time. read more

This is my second time at Zzeeks and a different location. It is consistently excellent! I will say that I had the experience again of the cashier not knowing how to ring my order in correctly. This also happened at the Tukee location. I order the Detroit style crust with vegan cheese and for some reason it's difficult to enter into their system. I wish they could train their staff better or improve their system. Thankfully, the manager took the initiative to come right over and help input the order so that it was done correctly. I have been hearing about this spot regularly online, social media. I have heard so much about this place I know off the top of my head the owners are Jodi and Mark. Recently they left a flyer on my door with the specials, the Sunday night week special was not in the flyer but it did say free delivery with online orders. I called the restaurant to make sure they still had the wing special and obtained the code. Attempted to complete my order online and no luck with free delivery. I called the restaurant' again to see what the issue was. The nice kid on the phone checked into it to find out - apparently we are "right outside" the delivery area therefore it's not free. I am dumb founded as to why they put this flyer on my door if we are not within the free delivery area. Nowhere on the flyer did it say there is a limited delivery area. Nor was the wing Sunday special on the flyer. I was going to be a 1st time customer but we didn't get off to a good start. I asked the young man on the phone to please forward this to the appropriate management team member. I did not end up ordering. Disappointed as the process took me about 25 minutes- we felt like thank you for wasting our time. Update- Hi Jody, We will be trying Zesty Zeeks. I feel as if I was intentionally misled. You are very aware the free delivery is within a limited area (and that's ok) yet dod not include that on the flyer that was delivered outside of the free delivery area. The boneless wings are very saucy and I love the big container of ranch it comes with, and it's also very delicious ranch. The mozzarella sticks are nice and crispy and come with a big container of marinara. The cheese bread is HUGE way bigger than I expected, and comes with marinara and ranch. We stopped by around 11:45 and there were two employees working. The guy manning the register was very friendly as he took our orders. We ordered a pepperoni with pineapple pizza and my friend had one of their specials. The special consisted of huge slice, wings, and a drink. I also checked in on Yelp and we received an order of their garlic breadsticks. The breadsticks were delicious!! They were hot and crunchy but yet nice and soft in the middle. The pizza was great and my fiends slice was HUGE. The wings were also good and they had just the right amount of sauce. There is plenty of seating inside! Crust is everything and Zzeeks crust is great. Love when it has a nice crunch on the bottom. Their version of garlic knots...breadstick bites are awesome. Soft, chewy, and also a nice crispy crunch. Two missteps...forgot the garden salad, but delivery girl insisted on going back to bringing it. Second, ordered sausage, pineapple, and mushroom pizza...but got pepperoni instead of mushrooms. Food was so delicious that we gave them 5 stars even with the missteps. Delivery girl was very friendly and nice. We will order from here anytime we are back!! read more

We have lived in the area for about 3 years and ZZeeks is our go-to for pizza. When we first moved here, I ordered Pizza Hut a few times, but after seeing an ad in our welcome packet, I had to try ZZeeks. That was in 2021 and we have continued ordering pizza, wings, and salads from our favorite place. The Chicken Bacon Ranch, Lemon Pepper Wings, and Ceasar Salad are our favorites. However, the wings seemed to be overly breaded, fried and they were awkwardly soggy. I did not enjoy them whatsoever. Obviously this is a pizza joint, but I was surprised by the lack of execution on an easy dish like the chicken wings. Also, the fried pickles were disgusting, as they were overly breaded and fried as well. Did not have a taste to them (I'm a HUGE fried pickle fan).
