This place does have good pizza and not just for college students but in general. It's a good place to go to with speedy service and a decent ambiance. Since it's on the second floor of the campus bookstore, it is very small and barely has any seating for multiple people. The pizza is all made fresh and flavorful along with plenty of good choices and prices. The only issue is that it can be frustrating to get seating because it's a small place. And the music can be loud which can make it harder to hear when someone is talking. Other than that it's a solid pizza place with good pizza. read more

Was directed by staff to complain about the order ahead app not working on Yelp. I stopped ordering at Venezias a couple of months ago when their order ahead app stopped working. I've also attempted to a call to place my order but this location is too busy for that. We're not given long enough breaks to order food from this location in person and wait. I'm hoping the functionality of the app can be restored. Right now when you try and order a combo on the app it won't allow you to select any pizza slices only combo or sometimes Hawaiian. Coming from New York, I have a naturally high bar for pizza, but Venezia's was pretty good. Especially for a college town, it is leagues better than the typical chains or local late-night spots. I visited for a work event and I wasn't mad about the offerings. My only recommendation would be that Arizonans learn about the delightfulness of having Melba sauce with mozzarella sticks. I also miss my specialty pizza options like chicken Marsala or shrimp scampi. read more

I typically like Venezia but today was the most disgustingly pizza ever. It was watery on the top for some weird reason. Additionally I ordered on door dash and they didn't seal my order despite me calling before and asking them. The cheese bread had black specs from clearly their uncleaned stove. Me and a friend decided to knock out the pizza challenge which was a 24 inch pizza in under an hour. Kinda tough cause it was advertised as a New York style but definitely felt as thick as a regular pizza. Sadly a friend and I were in the area and decided to try this place. Embarrassing experience. The fly problem is a real concern! Trying to find a place where to Sit without being attacked by flies. We did eat here. We weren't in the mood to go elsewhere. The salad was good. The pizza was overcooked with a burned bottom. We frequent this for our quick pizza dinner. The place is always hopping but we've never waited too long for an app placed order. The garlic breadsticks are my favorite, they have good French Fries. Delicious NY style pizza in the heart of Tempe. Trendy place, not huge inside but they have a pretty big patio with misters. Vegan options, vegan cheese and gluten free crust are available. I ordered a small pizza , half veg, half bbq chicken with their vegan cheese which is so good, much better tasting than Daiya cheese in my opinion. Their small pizza is 12" so it's not really small, I could not finish it. We also ordered an XL pizza with the same halves but regular cheese as well as 1/2 order of bone-in wings and 3 soft drinks. Wings were served with ranch. They were great! Veg was better than bbq chicken. The bbq sauce was a little too sweet for my liking but still tasty. Bill before tip was $58.20. This is one of multiple locations in the valley. I have previously tried their location in Mesa multiple times and liked their pizza a lot. Give them a try! I recall seeing Venezia's pizza at ASU events over the years and never forgot how large the party pizzas were (and how many students could share one of them). While there was previously a pizza restaurant on the second floor of the Future Sun Devil Welcome Center and College Ave. Commons, it had closed and to everyone's delight, Venezia's Pizza Presto opened in that location, only feet away from the second floor of the Sun Devil Campus Stores (Bookstore). I really enjoy Venezia's and have eaten at multiple locations over the years, but having such a huge supporter of Arizona State University now on the ASU Tempe campus is a different experience altogether. As someone who works at ASU, this is a great location for a quick bite, connecting with colleagues over pizza, taking something or go, or enjoying drinks and sporting events after work. The hours are 10:30 AM to 9 PM daily (or 11 PM on Fridays and Saturdays). In addition to a large menu of food and drinks, there are so many specials and deals on a daily basis. There are 5 slice specials each with a slice (or two), a drink, and the option of a salad or wings. There is even a specialty slice of the day. One specialty slice (being ASU fans!) is the Pitchfork Pizza, which consists of a base of tangy gold-medium sauce, chicken, fresh jalapeno and red onions. In the words of Venezia's "Fear the fork, not the pizza." As this may be a bit too spicy for me, I typically get a slice of pepperoni or chicken pesto pizza with a half order of boneless wings and a drink. I really appreciate that the slices are all very big. There are also daily specials throughout the entire week. In addition to the slice of pizza named after the pitchfork, Venezia's does a lot to support ASU and Sun Devil fans. On the Instagram account, there are regularly announcements supporting ASU sporting events (including the recent College Football Playoff game and the Desert Hockey Classic) as well as giveaways. One lucky Sun Devil recently won a signed football from Coach Kenny Dillingham while another won a signed ASU basketball by Coach Bobby Hurley. Also, the service at this specific location is great, and the staff do a great job trying to keep everything moving along as quickly as possible. You definitely will want to sign up for the e-mail list as you'll get some great deals along with a special gift for your birthday. In past years, it was a free small pizza with the order of a larger pizza. This year, it was a free one-topping slice for your birthday (which again, are quick big)! There are also so many coupons out there from Yelp coupons (which you can access on the Yelp app), Student Insider (ASU) coupons, and even the Venezia's website (https://venezias.com/deals). There are also gift card deals. The Black Friday gift card deal was "Buy $30 in gift cards, get free $10 gift card" and the Holiday Season gift card deal currently is "Buy $30 in gift cards, get free $5 gift card." The large groups tied up the 2 kiosks for a very long time, so I tried ordering at the counter but didn't get service before a kiosk finally opened Food was very hot and fresh. Alright, so we went ordered a 24-inch pepperoni Party Pizza from Venezia's, and let me tell you--this thing is a MONSTER. If you're feeding a group (we had 6 adults), this is the move. Perfect crispy-chewy crust, loads of melty cheese, and the pepperoni had those crispy edges that just hit different. Also had to grab an order of bone-in honey hot wings, and wow--10/10 decision. Perfect mix of sweet and spicy, and they actually had some crisp to them (none of that sad, soggy wing situation). Plus, they came with carrots and celery, which made me feel a little healthier, lol. Ordering was super easy, the staff was friendly, and everything was ready right on time. Seriously, if you need a pizza that'll impress the whole crew, Venezia's is the way to go. The garden salad tasted fresh and the spicy ranch was pretty good too, though it was definitely spicy. I got a sausage slice and it was MASSIVE. The calzone was Delish everything was good as well as the service, I recommend if your in the area give it a try you want be disappointed.

Our initial experience with this restaurant wasn't what we hoped for, and we wrote a review detailing our meal. We were immediately contacted by AJ, who apologized and wanted to hear more. He explained our experience was not reflective of their passion for good food and good customer service. He explained that feedback can sometimes help the restaurant take a look at things, like their ovens and burners, and he thanked us for the review. He also asked us to please give them another try. The other night we got another pizza and a caesar salad. Everything was excellent! The pizza was cooked perfectly, with just the right amount of char and doneness. The pizza wasn't greasy (we added pepperoni and mushrooms) and the cheese was just the right amount. This was the experience we had hoped for during our initial visit! Needless to say, we will be back. I bumped the stars up to 4, and will be happy to bump them up to 5 if we continue to have pizzas like the one we just had. And don't overlook the fact that they care, more than a lot of businesses out there. I've been a fan of Venezia's for a long time now and there is a new location on college Ave right across from Postino's on the second floor. Great location and great food as always, I'm a big fan of the pesto chicken pizza they have there. Inside the restaurant is clean, modern and has great views of A mountain. Service was great, they got the food out quickly and were helpful. Definitely recommend the lunch special #1, as I haven't found another spot that does two slices and a drink for $10 and I will be back for more. read more

First of all, you cannot call this pizza "New York Style" when a large pie is only a 14" and an XL is only a 16". In NYC , a large is a 16" and an XL is 18." Next, the plain pie was floppy, meaning that it did not bake properly. The sauce was mediocre and the cheese had a bland taste to it. The pizza is mediocre at best. read more
