I had a Greek slice with feta, red onions and olives. I burned the roof of my mouth trying to get to it. Just be patient. The crust was thin but firm enough to hold the toppings that covered almost the entire pie. It's crispy outside and chewy inside. The sauce was ok. It's reasonably priced. The pizza was incredible, the incredibly kind employee recommended the Otto Mia & Otto Supreme, and both were fantastic. Crispy crust, toppings were fresh and flavorful. Little too saucy and a little under-cheesed for my preference, but that's just me being picky. All around a great pie for the cost (much cheaper than its neighboring competitors). Check their lunch deals in the pictures, I'll 100% be taking advantage of those. Service members were incredibly friendly and I never saw them without a smile and kind greeting. Waited about 20 minutes for my order, which is about average wait time, but was so enthralled with the vibe of the restaurant that I didn't even notice. Will be back. I first discovered Otto Pizza & Pastry in 2021. One of my former coworkers from Whole Foods, located across the street, recommended it, and he said he really enjoyed it. After he described the place, I tried it for myself. Otto Pizza & Pastry is among the most incredible pizza places in Tempe. Everything on the pizza tastes fresh, and I particularly enjoy the sauce's flavor. It gives you a nice burst of tomato flavor. They also have great calzones, pastas, sandwiches, and pastries. I have had their cheesecake, and it is some of the best cheesecake I have ever had. The service is friendly and helpful. They are happy to offer any of their best-selling menu items and to ensure you have everything you need. I also like the atmosphere of the place. It is a pleasant, quiet atmosphere where you can enjoy your food while watching TV, with the television on top of the refrigerator, which also houses the pastries. I highly recommend Otto Pizza & Pastry to anyone seeking a great pizza place in Tempe. It is one of the more underrated pizza places, and it deserves more respect. this placed used to be one of my favs place to grab a bite in Tempe after a long day of skating but not anymore. I came in and ordered a bundle which consisted of pizza and liter soda and my son accidentally got a drink from the fountain machine and the owner Otto himself got really butthurt over the situation and came out back and started saying we need to pay for the drink and being unnecessarily rude . Mind you my son was only 5 at the time. We tried this downtown Tempe staple for the first time and were pleasantly surprised by the quality and deliciousness of everything we ordered. The pizza was perfectly cooked with ample toppings. We enjoyed the salad we got as a starter. I would have liked a homemade dressing as opposed to packaged, but I know that's a lot of extra work to make dressing when it maybe isn't the most popular item on the menu. This place is def just off the campus and prices are super college student budget friendly. It has a small outdoor patio and a quant / cozy indoor dining space. Little unassuming hole in the wall that reminds me of the mom and pop shops in Westwood (UCLA's college town). Very nice staff and would recommend to anyone looking for a good lunch. It potentially slows the process down. Atmosphere - Small, local, and busy pizzeria. Of course, it was a Friday dinner rush. The owner's daughter worked hard, but probably helped too many customers at the same time which could cause mistakes. The good news is that she owned up to it, and more importantly, corrected it. Limited private parking lot, good thing there were 3 of us and that their service is fast, so we double parked. Service - Good job with the phone order, and they had quick turnovers, especially for a Friday night. Pick up service = good, but I suggest helping one customer at a time. I used to LOVE this pizza joint. We moved here a few years ago and it took so much time trying to find OUR pizza place. The service is always fantastic and the pizza is usually consistent. However, it's been very inconsistent the last few months. We always get the same special and I've noticed each time, that our "extra" cheese is not so cheesy. And the quality of the pepperoni pizza has significantly changed. The pepperoni looks and tastes different. I'm assuming this is the culprit to having a greasy pizza, which we never experienced before here. It's actually one of the reasons why we loved their pizza so much. It's so unfortunate because the taste of their pizza is still good and their service is still amazing! It's just overall, the quality has changed. My husband and I are trying to visit as many pizza places in the valley as we can, and yesterday was our first visit to ottos! Our food was ready pretty fast, in under 20 min. It's small in here, a typical college town pizza joint! I forgot to ask for no olives in my Greek tomato salad, but I had no issues picking around them. The salad was very refreshing. We got the cheese breadsticks, at first bite I wasn't sure about them but they really grew on me. They are very soft, yum! The pizza was pretty good! Only thing that was a little weird was the crust. My husband said eating this pizza felt like eating a quesadilla, which is kinda true haha. The crust just very untextured on the bottom and kinda floppy.
