We have several dogs that have boarded and been groomed at Zeus'. It is great that every time we have returned they have known us and our dogs by name as well as the dogs quirks. One of ours dogs has been scared of the world since she was a puppy and boarding has always been very traumatic. However, when picking them up after the first visit she was happy and looked great. I would certainly recommend Zeus' Place to anyone needing grooming or boarding services. read more

I recently adopted a dog from zeus' who had been there for several months. they made the entire process easy and understandable. I then had to take her back for her last round of shots and I was terrified that she would freak out and think I was returning her. To my surprise she was ecstatic to be back and see all of the zeus' staff. This confirmed for me that they treat all of their animals wonderfully. I will definitely be boarding my dogs at zeus' from now on when I go out of town. read more

I just moved into town and had to leave my 2 pups here while we are waiting to move into our new home. I always feel safe leaving them here as the staff are always friendly and seem to be able to deal with my dogs who are absolutely crazy and pull like mules. read more

I first walked into Zeus' Place four years ago because a) I had a new puppy and b) I lived in the neighborhood. I was walking my dog as decided to pop in the get some information. The owner, Michelle, not only gave me information but she took me in the back and gave me a tour of the entire place. This is the one place in the city I'm completely comfortable leaving my dogs. They have very little staff turnover and I know each and every one of them has dealt with my dogs before. You can watch them on the cameras in the kennels and out in the yard. The staff are happy to deal with odd diets and medications. Their computer system has notes on every dog who stays there. I have dogs with short fur who don't need extensive grooming, but I've gotten them baths there before picking them up from boarding just so I have one less thing to do on a busy week. Somehow, my dogs stay cleaner after their baths than they do when I bathe them at home AND it means I don't have to clip their nails. Totally worth it. read more

Every time I bring my dogs here they return to me with kennel cough. And to make matters worst my pup has a infection on one of his back paws because this place is disgusting. I'm never taken my dogs here again. read more

Zeus's Downtown--Daycare Earlier this week I was excited to hear that zeus's had opened a new location downtown that offered daycare services. When I called and asked for more information about what daycare entailed, I was told that my dogs would be interacting with other daycare dogs in "play rooms", that they were taken on numerous walks, and that they would receive plenty of human attention. I thought this all sounded great and dropped my 2 dogs off this morning for daycare around 8. I logged onto the webcam to see what was going on at around 8:30 and realized that the "play rooms" were really just oversized kennels with a towel and a blanket on the floor with no water bowl. I was surprised by this but continued to check in on my dogs to see when they would start playing with the others. That never happened. Because of the lack of attention my dogs seemed to be getting, I checked the webcam every 10 to 15 minutes (crazy dog mom I know) but the more I watched the more upset I got. I only saw them receive 2 walks each that only took 5 minutes each time, and they were visited by an employee about 4 times, each time for only about 2-3 minutes. I was extremely disappointed in the amount of attention (or lack thereof) that my dogs received. They probably received about 30 minutes of attention total throughout the 8 hours that they were there (I took screenshots of the webcam every 10-15 minutes). When I expressed this as I was picking my dogs up, I was given attitude, and told that my dogs didn't get along well with the other dogs and that's why they were left alone. I find this hard to believe since I watched the webcam literally all day and never once saw them get the chance to interact with the other dogs. I am extremely upset that I paid $48.00 to have my dogs left alone in a small room all day, I think they would have been happier at home. If you are looking for a dog daycare where your dog will be playing with other dogs/people and will come home happy and tired, this is not the place. It is just an oversized kennel. read more

Very annoyed and disappointed with my experience here. Fell in love with a pup and immediately submitted an application for the dog. I was told there was no other application out for the dog and so if everything was approved he would be mine. I was also told it would take about a day. It took about a week and after calling several times I found out I was approved but the dog was given to another person who had a general application out for any dog. Why send a dog out to someone looking for any ol dog when someone already requested it specifically? read more

Zeus' Place is a wonderful place to board your pets. I have boarded my two dogs here, both of whom can be quite a handful, and had a wonderful experience. You can watch your dogs on webcams, which is great. I boarded my dogs in the same kennel, and brought their beds. The people here even washed the dog beds for me before I picked them up! A few weeks later I had my bichon groomed here, and they did a great job. I will definitely be using Zeus' for my boarding and grooming needs from now on. read more

Had my cats boarded here and it was a pretty painless experience for all of us. When I picked my cats up they were sprawled out napping and in no rush to leave. The employees were very friendly and helpful, and their rates are really reasonable. Everybody there seemed to genuinely love pets.The store front kitty display is fun too. Would definitely recommend for cat boarding. read more

My dog was a Zeus rescue and he goes here now for daycare and occasionally for boarding. He loves it here and begs to go in the mornings. The staff are all very friendly and clearly love animals. As the business is quite popular you may need to book well in advance for boarding and sometimes the daycare is full or closed with relatively little advance notice, but if you are a regular customer they will do their best to accommodate you. read more

I love Zeus' Place. This is the only place I will leave my dogs when I go out of town. Caring, loving and compassionate staff! They have live web cams accessed through the website so you can check up on you pet both in the kennel and the play yard areas. It was like a vacation for my dogs! read more

If I could give this negative stars I would. We brought our happy healthy puppy here when we found our selves in town for the night. The next morning when I went to pick him up he wasn't quite himself but we chalked it up to his anxiety and being away from us for the first time. Fast forward 24 hours and my puppy is lethargic and not eating or drinking. So like any concerned parent would do we rushed him to the Vet. The Vet informed us that he contracted a deadly virus and gave us some medicine and told us to keep him hydrated and hopefully he will make it through the night. He didn't, my puppy passed away this morning and after numerous calls and emails to this establishment we still haven't heard anything back. If you love your animals as much as I do please don't bring them here. You'll get nothing but heartbreak. read more

Until last year, I had always left my animals at home with a pet sitter. Last Mardi Gras I had to board them, and I was really worried about how my dogs would handle boarding, especially since one was old and not particularly well. They did GREAT, and they really seemed to enjoy their vaca at Zeus'. I could check in by web cam whenever I needed to, so I, too, was able to enjoy my trip. As I prepare for our summer vaca, I have no qualms about dropping my dogs off for their stay. I know they'll be well cared for, and I know they'll enjoy their stay. Makes my vaca that much better. read more

This place is amazing! They not only do an incredible job with my dog's haircut but they are very friendly and helpful. They know you and your pets by name and we always leave happy. They also do rescue work which deserves five stars within itself! I love visiting with all the kittens and dogs up for adoption when I stop by. Just got my geriatric lab mix back from her very first summer cut, and she looks fantastic! She's a nervous nelly, but she happily trotted off with the groomer, who took careful note of my dog's sensitive areas. I couldn't be happier with her cut. She's as sleek as a seal, with no nicks or divots. read more

What would I do without Zeus Place? I cannot say enough about it. I've been boarding my energetic beagle with them for about 3 years now and have always felt the attitude of both caretakers and Michelle to be unique in terms of their personal approach to providing day care and boarding for a variety of pets. The locale itself is homey and intimate. This is truly my dog's home away from home as he has made many "dog friends" here. read more

This place is devoted to rescuing dogs and cats. Need I say more?

I would give Zeus' Place 0 stars if I could. My boyfriend and I boarded our 6 month old Shih Tzu for 4 nights during March 2012. The day we picked her up her right eye was extremely swollen and totally blue/gray. Although we noticed the horrible condition of her eye through the glass door that leads to the kennel, when we asked the staff member what was wrong, she acted like she hadn't noticed it. Apparently (and I quote the owner, Michelle Ingram), her "bangs were too long" and they had no way of noticing this during FOUR days. It's not very comforting to know that people who claim to be dog experts don't agree that eye conditions must be taken care of immediately to avoid severe damage. She wasn't taken to the vet by Zeus' owner or staff (as is stated in the contract they ask you to sign) and we were not contacted once to be made aware of what was going on. Almost one year later she has gone through 3 surgeries. After visits to 3 different ophthalmologists and 6 months of daily (4-6 x a day) medications and antibiotics, she lost her sight 2 months ago to Glaucoma. Dogs have accidents and that's IMPOSSIBLE to control. What is mortifying about our story is that Zeus' Place has never admitted any responsibility to negligence of my dog. Don't board your pet here. They will not be as attentive as they say they will. read more

I think this place is great in so many ways (grooming and rescue and care and adoption programs are really the very best!), and I have left pets here when I've had to go out of town. All has been fine. And the staff is lovely and caring and friendly. Also very committed to animal welfare and finding happy homes. So only accolades on those counts. But after checking in on my pet on and off during the day, and watching him sit for SEVEN hours in a cell block without any interaction or movement or break, I'm less thrilled with the doggie daycare they offer than I thought I would be from my experience with other services they offer. It looked like a total bummer in there. Certainly didn't offer a good alternative to just leaving pet alone at home all day, since she could have done better there than she did in the concrete block she sat in alone for all that time. Again, in most ways this place, its people, are the very best. But the daycare aspect seems not super duper. VEERY reasonably priced, I should add (thank you!), but looked like no fun at all. read more
