The bagels are ok but never again. I ordered online and when I got there they told me they had to charge me for ketchup, butter and jelly. You make breakfast sandwiches and you're charging for the condiments?! BUTTER?! Never again. Definitely would NOT recommend. If your from NY/NJ this is NOT the place to get a bagel. Better off just going to Panera. read more

I've only been three times, but from what I can tell they have amazing food and staff. I always get the roast beef cheddar Pani. It's to die for. They always seem to be busy no matter what time of day you go. It's a shame they are not open past 4. Sometimes I want a mouth watering sandwich after work and they are always closed. I took my daughter last week and she raved about the bacon, egg, and cheese bagel sandwich she got. This is my new favorite breakfast spot. read more

Went by twice recently in the late afternoon-early evening (I work nearby a couple days a week) and noticed it was dark and locked doors. Thought it had closed but here I see they are now only open for breakfast and lunch. Not a good sign (but maybe an improvement in the end.) read more

Amazing vegan and vegetarian options. I had their very veggie on a toasted everything bagel (vegan - ask for no cream cheese) and a cafe latte with almond milk. The meal was amazing compared to a lot of the other places around. I'll definitely be back to try their veggie panini and their hummus wrap. read more

One of my struggles to review Zi Pani is that in its area, it really is a unique place with uniquely high quality food. However, it does not really deserve that one dollar sign -- I think it's $$ for a full meal. And I also don't think that it is *that* amazing! These are paninis, people! You can buy bread and good ingredients at your local grocery store and stick them in a George Foreman grill and you will end up with something not too dissimilar. I do think that Zi Pani is a healthy option. I think it's cool that they serve beer, as a cafe (though I've never partaken). It also has nostalgia value for me -- after we go to the dentist, my family always goes to Zi Pani. But I like my food better. I don't want to pay this much. I'm a miserly scrooge, what can I say. Three stars for being unique to the local scene -- but don't try to spread your wings, Zi Pani, because quite frankly I am just not sure that you will make it very far. read more

This review is for the ballenger creek location - I have fallen in love with the egg white delight! Fresh ingredients, healthy, and most importantly, delicious! I also bought some mini blueberry muffins on one visit for my boyfriend. He ate them all in one sitting!!! The costumer service here has been on point every time I've visited. A perfect stop for breakfast and coffee. I can't wait to try it out for lunch.. And honestly I can't wait to go back for breakfast either! :D Keep it up, you guys! Used sit be one of my favorite places to go and grab a quick lunch. Stopped by for a late lunch like 2pm and the place was all but shut down. I ordered a sandwich that took no less than 20 minutes to make. Why you ask? They had all their machines off and ready to close. Mind you they don't close for another 2+ hours Worst service I've had at any restaurant in a long time. Looked like the manager was there too. Not even a 'sorry for the wait' and my wife and I left begrudgingly. Probably will never return. read more

When I ordered food I asked if the music could be turned down a bit and didn't get another smile after that. I guess I rained on the someone's parade. Their bagels are really good, but I've had two problems with this location. 1. Make sure you know about how much your order will cost. I recently ordered 9 bagels plus a tub of cream cheese. Instead of charging me for a half dozen bagels plus three individual bagels and the tub, they charged me for 9 individual bagels. That's a difference of $2. It's not much, but nevertheless, I overpaid and that's not okay. 2. One time when I ordered several bagels with spread to go, the cashier was talking to the people behind the counter. She did not hear me say I didn't want any of the bagels toasted. So they toasted all of the bagels I ordered. When I gave them back saying I didn't want them toasted, the bagels they gave me had the minimal amount of spread on them, barely enough to cover both halves with the thinnest layer possible. I try to go to the other location in Ballenger Creek whenever possible. I have not had similar problems there. read more

It's nice to check out the new location. It's a much better/nicer location than the previous place. Think of Zi Pani as a Panera but with a warmer atmosphere. The new location has a fully stocked bar, a new bistro menu, and plenty of seating. None of those were at the previous location. Looking forward to trying one of the pizzas on a future trip. read more

Recommended to us by a local business. Did not disappoint. They were willing to make my order as i need (egg salad over lettuce instead of on bread). Happy they try to accommodate different dietary needs. My food was very good. Wedding soup and half reuben sandwich was also enjoyed. Never again. Ordered small soup. $4.25. Drove less than a mile back to work. Soup is cold. Also ordered shrimp salad sandwich on croissant. Open the wrapping and it was sopping wet. Consisted of some small shrimp cut up on the bread with a piece of lettuce and tomato. Folks this is not shrimp salad. For $9.00. I work too hard for my money to have it wasted on cold soup and a soaking wet sandwich that is not even remotely prepared correctly. I'd give it zero starts. read more

Service absolutely sucked! I had to go get my own menu, go and place my own order. Go get my own utensils and napkins. I believe they are extremely understaffed. The african american gentlemen with long hair was doing everything, while the female bar tender stood there completely clueless. The manager ran around like a chicken with his head cut off acomplishing nothing.. Food was not bad, about average. Was about 5 total customers and the Worst service I received in a long time. One of my favorite go to spots for a quick lunch. The staff here is wonderful, quick and polite. They even acknowledge you by first name if you are frequent customer. The food is exceptional, and even though the prices may seem a little higher in comparison to a regular sandwich shop such as subway, you always get fresh ingredients, and a big serving! The food here is great! I've been her twice now and never let down by my order. The staff however, wasn't the friendliest on the second trip. The gentleman working seemed to be the only one interested in at least greeting people while the two ladies were interested in their own conversation and didn't even look up at me standing at the counter to acknowledge me. Hit or miss! I've eaten here three times. The first time I got a Caesar salad. It was so bad I actually cried ( I blame that on the hormones). I decided to give it another try and had a sandwich. It was the best sandwich I ever had. It was chicken, bacon, provolone, spinach, and onions on some special bread. This isn't on the menu the cook and I decided on the ingredients. Went the third time and asked for the same sandwich. I tried to eat it. It was so gross I had to return it. My husband didn't eat his either but we felt bad and didn't return his. He eats just about anything but couldn't stomach it. I guess it depends on who is cooking that day. Their pastries on the other hand are sooooooooooo good.
