Just had my 21 year old car detailed. I have proof of a phenomenal job and expertise. Every inch inside and out was tended to with an eagle eye. I have used Ziebart a number of times because they are supposedly one of the more reputable car detailing shops in the area, and not one time have I walked out of there with a smile on my face and a good feeling in my stomach! I will preface this review by saying that I find myself to be a very rational individual and I normally will give places the benefit of the doubt, and at the least will give someone the opportunity to "make it right" before I would give them a bad review. The time has now come... The 1st time I used Ziebart it was to have my car windows tinted. They came out relatively good but there were lots of bubbles which led to me eventually bringing the car back to have it redone. It took 3 additional tries to get it right and at the end of the day I ended up with "some" bubbles and a huge scratch on my window, which they insisted was there (it wasn't)!! The next two times I used them (giving them the benefit of the doubt) was for two different detailing jobs. One on my car, one on my girlfriends car and both times I was unsatisfied with the final product. I never thought that I would need to literally point out spots that were missed during the detailing to a business who DOES car detailing!!! Needless to say I have not taken any of my vehicles back for detailing. Just last week was the last straw for me. I took my car to have the windows re-tinted (a bit lighter) and although the tint came out pretty well again I got the car back dirtier than it was when I dropped it off to them! Belongings that needed to be move were not put back where they were found, instead they were "thrown" into the front seat at the end of the day. There was drips, stains and damp spots throughout the car from the chemicals they used to do the tinting (keep in mind this is a car detailing shop), so after I paid them $400 dollars I had to spend an hour or two wiping down the leather and cleaning up after them! To boot...the car was also covered in dust so I had to run it through the car wash on the way home! At this point the only time I will be using them again will be to "guarantee" my tint jobs, otherwise I will be going elsewhere for my car detailing needs. I would say if you are going to use them I would keep a close eye on what they are charging you for versus what you are actually receiving!! Good Luck if you do use them. JP read more

Cannot say enough good things about the work done at Ziebart in Shrewsbury. They were prompt and professional. It took all of a minute to set up an appointment one week out. As a courtesy, they gave me a reminder call a couple days before the appointment. Upon arriving, the staff was very organized and professional. We did a walk around of the car, and the associate noted any dings or scratches in my presence so that we agreed on the state of the car. The associate then briefly summarized what was going to be done to the car, I handed him the key and left. Four hours later, I got a call that my car was ready. I showed up and the associate took me out to my car. There, he waited while I inspected the work and ensured that I was happy. THESE PEOPLE KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING! I cannot stress that enough. The car shone like the day it was purchased. These guys think of everything. The matts, wet from shampooing, were left in my trunk on top of a large piece of plastic. I mean they could have just thrown them back on the floor but they too the time to do a quality job. They even put my coins in a plastic bag when they cleaned that spot that everyone puts their loose change in. Folks, if you want your car done right, go to Ziebart. Not capable of installing protective film (Z Shield). Made two attempts to do it on my car and wasted 4 days of my time. The first time they tried it there were many spots with black greasy fingerprints under the film (on a white car). The second didn't end up much better. Edges are peeling off and many bubbles are in film. Also many places on front bumper aren't even covered. I took it to a place that installs Ventureshield and they were surprised that the film was put on by a "professional". I believe they thought I did it myself because it was so bad. In the end Ziebart refunded my money, but I can't get back the wasted time. Plus now I have to pay someone to remove their terrible work! They should be honest and not offer a service they are not capable of doing! read more

Seriously! I take my convertible in to be detailed and when I check it there is still crude in the cup holder and when I put the top up-pine needles went flying-which means THEY NEVER DETAILED THE TOP OR PUT IT UP. The manager kept apologizing but I don't want money off next time-I just want a service I pay for at the time. The best was when I asked for my floor mats I was told they were in the trunk-NOT! They had to track them down. Folks-don't go here-there are plenty of other places and we all have better things to do then have to check shoddy work-shame on you Ziebart! read more

I got my car windows tinted here a while ago. First of all, the maximum window tint percentage they will do is 38% because factory windows come with a 3% tint. Also they have extra surcharge for "supplies" on top of the cost of getting the windows tinted which was not disclosed before I made the appointment... Are you telling me you don't already have these supplies at your shop ready to be used? 2. On their website they offered their store card for financing 6 months over a certain amount which was appealing to me and when I went into the shop to ask about it, the associate said that they did not offer that promotion. That threw me off because that is false advertisement. So whatever I paid for it. The real reason why I'm writing the review is because I recently went back here to get my back window retinted. Ziebart offer life time guarantee on their window tints if there are bubbles, fading, peeling and such occur. I've had bubbles since day 1 of getting my tints here. I had my brother drop my car off here to get it retinted and to my finding they didn't retint my back window because the same bubbles are in the same spot. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. I find this pretty pathetic. This experience with them is a waste money. Next time I'm just going to go to a different place to do my tints correctly and offer the services that they promote. You go can go there if you want but beware that they are lazy here. read more

I would recommend shopping around prior to getting a remote starter installed at Ziebart. Starters are expensive, which makes the installation and service critical. I found both to be lacking. Twice I have needed to return to Ziebart for repairs; had I received exceptional service, I probably wouldn't have been compelled to write this review. read more

Have had multiple cars done by these guys over approx. 11 years....and Tidy Car before that (same product - Diamond Gloss). Excellent quality and workability (scheduling, pickup arrangements, etc.) We have 2 dogs in each of 3 vehicles. I really don't know how they do what they do by removing every piece of dirt, dust and hair. I've heard expressions that "the work makes the car look like showroom quality". I disagree. They make it look better than showroom quality. I've seen and been delivered vehicles from dealers w/smudges on windshields, tape from old stickers, dirt from test rides/service advisors, etc. At the end of the treatment these cars are delivered perfectly by Ziebart - better than showroom quality. Its like no one was ever in them and they just rolled off the line. read more

I called last minute to have my car detailed and they took me the very next day. I dropped my car off in the morning and had it back by days end and it was SPOTLESS. I had a horrible stain on one of my back seats and it was totally gone. I couldn't find a speck of dirt! I will absolutely be using them anytime I need a good interior cleaning. read more

Spilled a gallon of milk in my car a month back, and all the advice on the internet still wasn't able to quite get rid of the smell. I took it to Ziebart today and they did a great job cleaning the interior. Jury is still out as to whether the smell is permanently nuked, but so far, so good. Plus, the inside of my car looks great! The good news is that if what they did today doesn't work, there is still the super nasty chemical big guns that could be brought in. I'm any case, I found the staff to be friendly and helpful, and the service was well done. read more

Too start I do not do reviews so this should tell u something...So I have had 5 cars done here where I'm a dealer/car builder. Decided to make an appointment a week ahead and was told it would be done in 2 hours cool right ? Drop it off a half hour early an was told the same thing 2 hours it would be done and I had em do my wheels while it was there. 3 hrs later I go by my cars still in the same spot not touched ! Call an was told there was ppl that came an waited so they did them 1st ? Over another 2 hrs go by an I get a call it's all set , now I'm obviously not happy but watever. Go pic it up the wheels aren't touched . Go in and the manager Andrew is far from professional, every excuse in the book gives me 50 off and says if u dont come back its watever? Wrong guy buddy I've been in the automobile industry over 20 yrs and I'll make sure to spread the word .. if ZERO was an option that's what it would be . read more

I brought two cars this month for detailing. We were very pleased. My volvo had gone threw 12 years of college, so you can only imagine the condition. When I picked it up, it looked amazing. WE also brought in my husbands car who is in sales,and eats lots of meals in his car. many coffe and food stains. Ten year old car looked like it just came out of the showroom. Last Friday I visited Ziebart for detailing my van and when I got and checked the personal stuff I found $40 missing along with some important document which was in the van. I tried to contact them and they totally refused to accept this so I will suggest you that if u are thinking then rethink or keep ur personal stuff out of the vehicle before giving the vehicle to them. read more

Had my ancient car waxed today. I would rate the job a C +. Better than I can do myself. BEWARE: the $99 exterior wax charge contains a hidden environmental impact charge so 6.25% tax on $99= 109.24 in Shrewsbury, MA. The work is warranteed for 1 year - whatever that means. I had to point out at least 1 area that needed more work. At least my car is protected against the winter salt I hope.... read more

They did a great job with putting in my remote car starter. We also had a rino liner and and full under coating down the same week. First off let me say that I have heard really poor reviews about this company prior to me going there but being that I was in a crunch and don't go off of what others say I gave it a chance for myself, WHAT A BAD MOVE! I just had my tint as well as what was supposed to be an interior detailing done. THE TINT CAME OUT 9/10 as they cut a bit too far into the film so light is coming through on the edges but that is bearable. Now as for the detail the story is totally different! So I set up a time to bring the car in to get both jobs done and I am quoted a price by the guy on the phone who was pretty up beat and personable so I was feeling good at that point. I have the appointment for 930 the next day (Thursday) so that the tint is cured to be able to let me roll my windows down by Sunday. I had an emergency the night before and was a few hours late but I did call and they said they would do their best and that it would be done. I bring the car in at about noon, drop it off and go back to work. I had to call them to see if it was done then I got there and it was still being tinted but the detail was "DONE". I am excited and had to get back to work so I leave and as I am driving I notice there is nothing different from when I dropped it off but a quick once over with the vacuum. At this point I am pissed and call to let them know. They ask me if anyone walked me out and I said no. Now at this point they are so unprofessional in my mind being that they have to ask me if their guys did what they are supposed to do. So I reschedule for today bring it in call again when they said they would and ask if its done and am told yes. So for the second time and another 30 minutes out away from work I go down there to be asked yet again "did someone call you? I haven't had time to inspect it." So the guy goes through the car and pops back up and tells me he needs more time because again its not clean. Now this is two times and one would think that they would make damn sure that it was done right! WRONG! He asks me if I have five minutes and if I could just give him five more minutes. NO ! They had two shots at this and the first time they could not even think to call me up and say "hey listen we were too booked and ran out of time so we want you to come back so we can get the detail done" What they do is send me on my merry way hoping that I don't notice that the car is the exact same as when I brought it there. I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN NOR WILL I SEND ANY OF MY CUSTOMERS HERE FROM MY DEALERSHIP. THIS IS A PRIME EXAMPLE OF HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND I FELL VICTIM TO IT AS WELL AS BEING MADE OUT TO BE AN IDIOT! To finish off I asked for a refund after the guy repeatedly asked me to give him that five more minutes and was told well sorry I cant until Monday when the owner is here. Now I have to go and deal with it yet again and I am sure they will not accommodate a refund without a lot of ranting and raving. read more

My husband gave me a gift of a remote starter from Ziebart several years ago. I was very pleased with the installation and operation. Recently it has not been starting the car consistently. I dropped by Ziebart and they immediately suspected the battery in the remote - which I had never replaced. They put in a new battery at no charge and gave me some hints on how best to start the car. I made an appointment to get an automatic car starter for my grandmothers car for a Christmas present. When I dropped the car off they informed me that I needed two sets of keys with a clicker, they never told me that when I was making the appointment. They said that they could instal the equipment and when I get another key I could bring the car back and they can finish programming and setting it up. When I went to pick the car up they told me that they were able to figure out how to do it with one key and everything was complete. We left, brought the car back to my grandmother and tested it out. Everything worked fine. Two days later my grandmothers car was dead, wouldn't start, and we couldn't figure out why. I called Ziebarts back and they said they didn't do anything to the car that would cause that and it was probably the battery. I informed them that the battery that was in her car was brand new. They said tow it down there and they would take a look at it. A tow that I had to pay for. They said some cable was severed but they didn't do it. I asked if they could just take all of there equipment out and if they could refund my $328. At first they said they would take the equipment out but could not refund my money. I had my uncle go down there the next day and convince them to give me the money back after threatening them with a lawyer. After arguing and screaming with my uncle for about 20 minutes, they were happy to refund the money and send us on our way. These people are very unprofessional, liars, and none of the technicians are certified. All I wanted was for them to fix the problem and they took no responsibility and argued saying they didn't do anything wrong. They obviously Mickey Moused the job and should have just waited until I brought them the second key. I would never recommended this joke shop to anyone, it was nothing but disappointment. The guy Ryan who 'runs' the place does not know how to handle business here. Absolute terrible service! read more

I made an appointment to have an automatic car starter installed in my car at 8:30 in the morning. I left my car there overnight, as I work from 8:30am-3:30pm every day, thus needing to rely on others for a ride to and from work the next day. As I was on my way back to pick up my car 24 hours later, I received a phone call from the owner, saying that they could not install my starter because is it "tricky" to work on 2014 Ford Focuses, and they didn't want to break anything on my dash. While I appreciate the fact that they did not work on my car while not confident in the outcome, I am outraged that they waited a whole 24 hours to notify me of this issue. Not only that, but when I asked why I didn't receive a phone call sooner in the day, the owner brushed me off, saying they got a late start and that they were on the phone all day trying to get it situated. Very rude employees, very bad customer service. I am extremely disappointed in what just transpired at Shrewsbury's Ziebart. I do not recommend taking a car there to get worked on. read more

Since the new owner has taken over this place has gone down hill extremely quick. I have personally seen 3 remote starters that they have messed up in the last couple weeks. One was missing screws so the steering column was rubbing against the steering wheel and coming apart. This same vehicle had tint installed two days before it came to me to be stripped and re-tinted. The supposed plotter cutting they do is a 100% lie they hand cut their tint and their gaps are just unacceptable, also they claim to use solar guard ceramic tint when solar guard doesn't make ceramic tint. The next vehicle I saw was a Ford truck in which they wired the remote starter completely wrong and plugged sensors into the wrong ports on the starter and the battery had an extreme voltage drain. The next vehicle I had come in had connection issues and the programming on the remote starter was completely messed up. Also don't bring a remote to get a battery changed out here because as their sales associate tells you "they aren't authorized to do that" If you ask me they aren't qualified to do much more than clean your vehicle and maybe rustproof it. Do what you want with this information but just know you have been given facts to go by and the choice is yours. read more
